Hey everyone! So I wanted to share my first faceup and body blushing. It was also my first time taking a bjd apart and putting it back together with his new limps as legenddoll successfully sent the replacement parts! I also sueded and wired my bjd lol. This was an incredible experience! With a lot of research, I learned so much! Now I know a lot for the furture when I get more Bjds. I love how my doll came out! He’s very cute! There are some flaws and it was extremely hard for me to do the lashes I must say. But I’m learning as I go. I’ll be practicing more of that for the future! I have even more respect for bjd artist! BEFORE: FACEUP: The lower lashes were so extremely hard to paint/draw so I used watercolor pencil. He looks dreamy the pearl ex in the end was so nice. I’ll learn more how to make it super pigmented He’s a blusher tehe BODYBLUSHING: did very light blushing only 2 layers He can stand and hold poses yay He’ll have different wigs that I’m working on Thank you Bjd world I learned so much from various people around the world..lots of information to learn from materials to caring for my bjd and thank you legenddoll for the replacement legs!
Wow, congrats! He came out beautifully! I hope you'll enjoy him even more now, and I'm glad the replacement limbs came in and work well
Definitely went into the hobby deep end with the shipping snafu, replacement parts, restringing, suading, faceup and blushing your first bjd Your first faceup is excellent and a complete unblemished doll too, you must be delighted
Thank you! I’m definitely enjoying him more now! It’s so funny I had to learn how to put together a bjd on the first doll lol but it’s a great experience. Thank you! Thank you! I figured since I had to take him apart and put him together I should take the opportunity to add hot glue and wire from the videos I’ve seen on instagram and YouTube tehe. It was awesome to learn it. Omg pulling the cord was hell though for the legs! I also navigated the cold weather because I really wanted him to be done by Christmas. The humidity has been great but it’s cold so I sprayed the layers in a box outside and then immediately brought him in to air out in a separate space. I feel I was lucky he didn’t get blemished and cloudy. It’s made me realize the humidity for MSC might be more important that the weather itself. I also warmed up the can in warm hot water in a bowl. Thank you so much!
Thank you! Omg yes! lol. Learning how people do things was very fun. I was especially surprise to find out how easy switching hands actually is and that it doesn’t require taking apart the whole doll lol
