Working on my first BJD! Using La Doll Premier, took some getting used to but I really like it now! Having a lot of trouble with limb jointing, and I haven't started on the hands and feet yet cause I'm not sure what hooking method I'm going to do yet. But it's coming on really nicely I think!! LMK any thoughts or tips!
oh wow i really love her. what's her name? i really like the shape of her belly (the little belly button and chubb outline are toooo cute) and the unique way you did the waist joint. i also love that her neck is articulated! i really like articulated necks and i'm glad to see more of that lately. cool size, too, and i like that she has so much jointing in her body without sacrificing the soft anatomical details. la doll premier is pretty much my fave as well for air dry. it holds a lot more detail than other air dry stuff and seems to be a little more durable. what specifically are you having problems with in terms of jointing the limbs? is it trouble with mapping out how the joints will be, figuring out how to secure them, how to do an armature for them?
I haven't picked a name yet! I'm having trouble figuring out what kind of joints I'm using and getting them to fit lol
This tutorial might be helpful (it's for super sculpey but some of the techniques may still be helpful.
Oh thank you!! I decided to try and use wooden beads for the knees and elbows and do a double-joint!! Hopefully it turns out alright!
Looking awesome so far! I love how rounded her face is, she's lovely Cool jointing on the neck and torso, too!
