My first and second BJDs

Feb 19, 2006

    1. I made them a while ago, but I just got a camera, so now I can post pictures^^
      Neither of them have names yet, unfortunately...

      This is my first one. He's a guy, but I left the crotch undetailed because...just because.

      His skin turned out bad 'cause I have bad painting skills or something. I'd repaint him, but I don't have anything to take the paint of with.

      My second doll is much smoother, thankfully. I bought some spray paint-stuff...

      [IMG] <- I dunno why it's so yellow -_-;
      It's genderless. It was gunna be a girl at first, but the torso and legs turned out bad, so I rescultped it genderless. I don't liek the face-up(again, I can't take it off yet)

      I also made a second head for the second doll. It's like...anthro-ish. I draw faces like that sometimes, so I wanted to sculpt one. No tail yet, unfortunately.

      ...So what do you think? Any tips?

    2. I really like them. :) What size are they?

    3. Wow, you're very talented... The chest looks so smooth. :aheartbea I love!

    4. beautifully done! i'd like to know what size they are too? have you started another?

      how happy are you with their joints? that is the part that drives me nuts.
      congratulations on a great job.....

    5. Thanks for the comments :aheartbea
      The first one's 11 inches and the second one is 10.

      The joints work pretty well, but they tend to pop out of the socket if I bend them too far :oops: And the legs get into weird positions when left to their own devices.
      I think I'll start another tomarrow, maybe...

    6. I really like the second one, he's got a great sculpt going for his body. :D

    7. I love the Anthro head.. (even though furries scare the crap out of me) Its very well done! Very well done indeed. ^-^ Keep on keeping on!

    8. =O Oh my gawd I am in love with the second one, they are both cute and I now am oogling your second head for the second doll, with the kitty ears .... I am in love... its so freaking adorable! XD If that sulped ever sold... I'd be the first to buy one

      Edit: I'ma stare at it for a while, cute lil anthro head... *snuggles it*

    9. AHHHH cute kitty!

    10. Spray paint? I hope that you didn't use spray paint on sculpey... I heard the propellant reacts with the clay... I'm not sure what it does though. I just got told not to do it @_@ I think Air-brush is okay... as long as it's just air. I think my airbrush used butane(or something) cannisters, which is scary flammable o_o .

      And SUCH a pretty kitty head @_@ I'd like to see you make more animals, that'd be cool!

    11. >.>
      I don't think it's the kind of spray paint people use for vandalism or whatever... I found it a hobby store. I used a sprayable primer first(which I found out about on this site)

      And thanks ^^;
