Aesthetics My first 3 wig attempts! + photography (Image heavy)

Jul 27, 2016

    1. Here are the first 3 wigs I have made using the hardcap method + alpaca fibre, if I could get some feedback or pointers on wig styling that would be great (and also the photography/editing as I am new to that, too)

I will list them in order of manufacture and my own self evaluation. Thank you for looking!

First wig made a few weeks ago, I dont have so many photos of this but I know my part was messy

Second wig also made a week or two ago, this time I wanted a shorter style. I feel my parting was better executed although my hair cutting skills are minimal.

Aaand my latest wig finished yesterday! I wanted something pulled back to show her face. I toned and dyed these fibres so they came out a lilac-y white-y colour and the blue under layers. There is a messy part under this one but hidden under the small pony tail. which wont be coming down for photos anyway. ALSO the wefts for this one got stuck to tin foil i prepared them on (dont use that, stick to plastic bags ahah...) but you cant see those so it worked out ok in the end. I also have the most photos of this too.

Thank you again for taking your time to view this ^^

    2. those look really nice! I would not have guessed that these were your first attempts and would totally buy all 3 if you made them for a shop :D

Love love LOVE that short one! I love the look of the jagged cuts to it! Awesome job~

    3. Really nice work! Each one looks super! Where did you get the fiber, and what sort of dye do you use? Seriously inspiring!

    4. @Gibbaba Thank you! Perhaps when I have them to a professional level I could open up shop hehe.
The short one is definitely my favourite on her, I was trying to go for a Sera look from DA2 but it didnt quite get there

@Deb@Play Thank you, too! The fibre is from a UK farm called Parkgate alpacas, the toning conditioner is just a generic swedish silvering one and the dye I used was Schwarzkopf colour XXL (in turquoise)
