She is amazing! Is she Tan A color?

This has been the best thread for seeing all the beautiful HeeAh's and I just hope there will ne the Tan A re-release soon so I can order her!

You did an amazing face up on her. I would not have guessed Tan B. I have seen another that was very dark skin, it seems they look a lot different in different light. I think I am going to go with Tan A. So excited I think I will be able to get a HeeAh of my own! So love your photography too.

 

I think MyDolling is using the same resin as Art-Bimong. Here is a comparison of the resin colors:


I find Tan B to be lighter and warmer than Tan A.

 

Thank you so much for that link! It was totally helpful. I am pretty sure I still want the A shade. I will go and look at more of their dolls and try and find some in those colors! I really have a hard time telling which Tan all the HeeAh girls are!


I am wondering if someone can answer how the seams are in the Tan colors? And would they do any Type of yellowing like NS dolls?
Would also be interested in seeing any recent Tan girls, or does anyone know how consistent their colors are? Thanks in advance!

The neck measurement isn't listed on the site, this was all they posted. I am sure some owner can chime in perhaps!

Thank you Nancy !!! I have a TAN A coming!! So excited ) This will be my first BJD MSD. I had a tiny SecretDoll, but she's been long gone. Oh happy day for me when she arrives!

I am so excited I have wanted this doll ever since I saw the WIP pictures on her flickr like 5 years ago.

I have no money for wigs or clothes but Im still waay excited hopefully my things for my narae dont look too wierd on her.

 

That's a long time! I just only found her a month ago but knew I had to have her!! I think Narae is a little taller, by a couple cm? They will probably fit ok.
I am going to make a wig if I don't have one that fits. If you are crafty they aren't that hard and there are lots of video tutorials. I hope I have that size eye, they are small ones.
Hopefully there will be some new photos here of incoming HeeAh's soon.

 

Yeah I actually bought a couple of wigs from mydolling like 3 years ago so I have her size and the things I made for my narae should fit ok until i can get her real clothes later!

 

You sound all set for her arrival then! Amazing you held off buying her for so long...
I need to find shoes, I really want some black Mary Janes in patent, but don't want the high sole ones. So need to start trying to locate what will fit her foot.

 

Yeah I had this dumb idea I need to finish my other girls before getting her and then a Unoss and a narae got in the way (I was one the lucky ones getting a narae from Dstoric that ACTUALLY arrived thinking this is my last shot) and buying a fullset unoss compleatly untouched leaves your wallet hurtin' for a while.

So yeah. loved her always and I'm sort of collecting her dolls (if you look at my doll family xD)

hopefully her feet are a tad bit narrower than the dstoric narae foot and she can fit cool shoes hopefully she wont like high heels

I think the eyes are 10 to 12 mm

 

Oh the website says she takes 8mm eyes.

Has anyone used 10mm eyes in her?

I found my bag of eyes and I thought I had 8's but I only have 10's and 12's and larger sizes.

 

I have 8mm flat glass eyes in mine like this: Doll Eyes: #FG High Quality Glass Flat Eyes 8mm: CHOICE of color

They usually have six colors available, but the choices are limited at the moment.

 

Thank you for the link!! They don't have a color I would like, I'm thinking blue. I will just have to wait until she gets here, I will see if there is any hope for my 10mm, since they are plastic I can cut them to fit if I need to for now. I do want to be able to move them around a little for side glancing. Can you do that with the oval shaped eyes?

 

Yes, you can move them around. They give you a little more white to work with.

Mine is supposed to ship this week, and tomorrow is Friday in USA, already tomorrow morning.

Update! My HeeAh has shipped today 3/11/16. She should be here next week! Ordered on 3/4/16.

my girl arrived today!! about 10 days from ordering to receiving and a good chunk of that was bc she got held up in customs! she's beautiful i'll give her a faceup and post her later~




here she is in a temp wig (too big for her) and a temp faceup (accidentally smudged it before the MSC was dry wahhh), I think she's gorgeous, looks like liv tyler my nails are covered in glue, sorry xD

My girl landed at JFK airport this AM ! She took the red eye overnight from Korea. So this week she should be home!

 

Agggh Not one update from Tracking since she landed at JFK. And I've used all the package mapping sites besides USPS.

My packages usually all get checked in -- even over a weekend. IDK why this one has not updated.

Getting frustrated! I am hoping they just stuck her on a plane to me without even checking her and she'll be here earlier... I don't want to think of the alternative scenarios right now!

 

I have found USPS to be slow at updating on the weekends lately. They also seem to delay the acknowledgement that they have received the package. I suspect they do this to make the processing time look better.

 

Ugh, hopefully she's already left NYC without anyone marking it gone! But I am doubting it... Just last month I had a Moof doll from China and she got here in 7 days and it was over the weekend too, Got there on Saturday morning and then immediately was checked through, and I would have had her in 6 days but the local post office messed up and didn't send her out till the day after she got to them! I am really hoping she will be here by Friday at the latest...

 

My girl is on a truck heading for my post office! Hope it gets here todayyy!

Haven't done a boxopening in years! Is that still a thing?

 

Congratulations on the expected delivery! I haven't done a box opening in years either! But some people still do them.

 

Oh Congratulations to you!!! Yes PLEASE do a box opening! Even if it's only photos. I love watching them on youtube tho... and there I think are only one or two of HeeAh on there.

Mine is still not here, (( (cries) and still not updated that she's even in Customs in NYC yet! All it says is she arrived at the airport and that's only on Korea Post tracking, not USPS. USPS still says "Origin post is preparing shipment"....

So frustrated. I called the USPS and he said I had to wait until Thursday for him to open an inquiry... he thinks I will get an update today, but I am doubtful... She should have been here by Thursday/Friday, but if it continues like this I will be lucky for next week. I have never had a package not update immediately that it was sent to customs when received in NYC.

 

Omg can the clock hurry up and be 5pm so I can rush home and pick heeer uuuupp

Too dark for video but I managed to get some grainy shots of my boxopening. Was way too excited to hold anything still!

Oh she's just beautiful!!! Thank you for doing the box opening photos, they aren't too grainy. I am sure I am just going to drool over them all night!!

 

FINALLY!!!! At 19 minutes before I was going to call USPS (so it was officially 5 days since she arrived in the US which is when you can initiate an Inquiry) my HEEAH TRACKED! With any luck she will be here tomorrow... :0 fingers and toes crossed!!

Hahaha, I am sure I'm not a lone post office neurotic tracker, but she arrived at the hub PO 6:00 this morning and on a truck to my PO now! I will have her today! I still can't believe it, I was sure she wouldn't come until next week, but they came through in the end. They need doll collectors working in customs so they can identify doll packages and get them out faster! LOL

You can sign up for email or text updates from the Post Office on the right side of the tracking screen. They really send them out quite promptly! There are still times that I go check but it is a great feature!

 

I do that all the time. This time tho they didn't update her at all, 17Track and Korea Post actually showed that she had arrived to JFK, USPS didn't even have that information updated.... Anyway no more worrying for me because she is HERE!!!


Called my post office and she had arrived there this morning so I told them to hold her and ran up and grabbed her! I will post the box opening photos later this weekend but for now here she is. I only have 10mm eyes and no clothes, so this will have to do for now. She's beautiful and I don't know how fast I will do the faceup, I like her like this a lot.
