I'm surprised that price is much lower than at Mydolling site. $250 at Dollmore, it was more than 300 or 340 at Mydolling
A little late to the party...I just realized that Dollmore's Grace Doll is the former My Dolling HeeAh. Has no one has bought one since the introduction? This thread has been silent for more than a year. Or the has the content migrated to another thread? I've been toying with the idea getting HeeAh as a miniature Zaoll. Trying to narrow down my choices.
Which one did you get? I was prepared to get the light Suntan Inter Somnos but then I saw the Flame of Black HeeAh. I'm not wild about all black outfits--and heaven knows Dollmore does more than enough of them, I have two already--but I'm seriously in love with her faceup.
I like the normal skin Inter Somnos, too. I'm leaning towards the Flame of Black HeeAh at the moment.
I'm late to the discussion and also wondered about Hee ah being discontinued. I'm glad Dollmore picked up the mold and thank you guys for telling it! ^_^
Poppin in here... yeah... a mini-Zaoll. Once I saw a Heeah at the Ldoll-festival in Lyon and thought "oh yeah, that´s the same vibe that i love on Zaoll. The ones Dollmore does look really good. I got a Zaoll red fanatique and her face up is super lovely- the Heeah with the black outfit could be her younger sis
Do you have pictures of the Dollmore one? Specifically I wanted to know if the body is the same, I remember she had a heart shaped mark. I wanted a Heeah for a long time, might be time to get one. I don't mind that she's single jointed, I really like Gu Mi-Jung's style the dolls are always so expressive.
Hi everyone! I'm planning to get a HeeAh (...and turn her into a boy), so I've been doing some research lately and I'm wondering how she would look like next to an Unoa (Sist or B-el/L-bi, though any would be appreciated). Does anyone have (or seen somewhere) any comparison photos? Thank you!
Well, I guess that in the end I answered my own question by getting a HeeAh and proportions-wise she looks quite nice with Unoas! Despite my initial plans I didn't turn her into a boy though (she's too lovely as a girl!), so meet Emma: She's a Dollmore/Grace Doll HeeAh.
@WhiteWitch If I hadn't known she's a HeeAh, I'd have had a hard time guessing. She's so unusual and very, very beautiful
@WhiteWitch Can I ask you something? I probably asked before but no one seemed to have a Grace Doll Heeah yet. Does she still have the mark behind the headcap?
I took this photo recently of the back of my Dollmore HeeAh's head -- These are the only markings on her head, inside and out. No heart
Thank you. I knew she would have removed it, the heart seem to be a personal mark, I'll have to track down a Mydolling Heeah then. Looks like Dollmore went harder on the markings, my Narsha has "Gu Mi Jung" written inside the headcap. They do still write her achievements on the doll pages though.
I recommend the sculpt, has a versatile face to be male or female. Then when you see them with mnf boys
Please share pics, Nancy! I'd like to see both Here's a pic of my girl, wigged and dressed -- She the tan version of Inter Somnos, and her dress is a Retros dress made for 16" fashion dolls. Her shoes are MSD-size, and her wig is a size 6-7 from Dolk. Still a WIP, needs a name and character! I like her resin color and how nicely finished it is, as well as her face-up.
Thank you, @kiwae! She presents a challenge to find clothes and wigs among what I already have (fortunately I have lots for a variety of dolls, lol). Here's a close-up pic --
Sorry to just drop in like this, but I've owned this girl since 2016... Due to various health things, I've just finally found the energy to take some photos of her today. Meet Anka! I think she was one of the last tan Heeahs ordered directly from Mi Jung Gu. Welcome, traveler And yeah I agree on the challenge of wigging and clothing her... I got super lucky with this wig, but almost all the other ones I've tried have been waaay too big. Plus she can squeeze into some of my Imda's clothes... while being 10 cm taller!
Thank you, haha! I bought I think 4-5 other dolls for this character and none of them ever worked out... then I saw someone else's lovely Heeah in the doll profiles here on DoA and was like OMG, the face! It's perfect! Then I found the mydolling website and bought her on layaway, and I think a week later the tan girls were no longer available. She's good for wearing a lot of jewelry my family gave me. I don't really like to wear it, but she sure fits a lot of bracelets (as necklaces) and rings (as bracelets).
Does anyone have a Flame of White Hee Ah and can show me some pictures? I saw one for sale and she's gorgeous, but I have some trouble figuring out if I really like the faceup. Googling doesn't help as it only shows Dollmore.
Hello! Is there a discussion about other Mydolling dolls? I fell in love with Betsy recently and I don't know if it is possible to order head only. Welcome , Mydolling:D
6,5 cm at the top where the neck actually meets the head. I for reference think the head is not optimized great to the neck anyway so i put a silicone disk for more stable pose-bility
I think they're actually designed for the silicone disks? I bought my Heeah directly from the artist and she came with silicone disks installed in the neck and shoulders. Some Anka tax:
I honestly dont know I dont have a minifee available to me, but If I manage to stop by my friend I can possibly figure it out
Same! Mine came with like leather discs but I dont remember her coming with the disc in the head< I think silicone disks are a wonderful addition to a lot of dolls my Zaoll and Narae both benefit from them right now
I have not decided yet if I want a normal or suntan head. But any information is welcome. Wondering why Dollmore does not offer face-ups for this head. They do on other heads.
Its probably because of the deal the artist have with dollmore Mine is in the original shade range Tan B it was the cool toned tan the eyes are wonky on this one but I haven't sorted her pics out yet with their new face up I did. I personally think this sculpt is soooooo beautiful in any tan shade its so good for it.
I love how you style your HeeAh and together with this Rugged Realism face-up it made me consider the suntan version. Maybe offering face-ups for separate heads might compete with the full sets available.
Honestly I've heard people being pretty disappointed with their Dollmore-provided face-ups. That was a long time ago so maybe it's not an issue anymore, but I personally rarely buy default face-ups anymore. They're usually done up in a way that's most "bland" to appeal to most people so if you're looking to have a doll with character you need to go custom anyways. Helene did do a lovely job on my Anka, I asked her for a face for a tomboy character who was still obviously a girl (vs. someone more androgynous) and I think she got that request down perfectly.
Ah yes, it was yours. Her tomboy appearance is precisely what I like about her. I will have to find a face-up artist with a similar style.
I rarely like default faceups too thats why i learned to pain my own or sent my girls away to get painted. I think its still good to have as an options for people but they rarely suit special sculpts like the Heeah and Zaoll
I am not too fond of the current fullset face-ups, except the one in the white dress, though it doesn't show too clearly in the pictures. I thought their custom service was good, but agree HeeAh needs something special.
If anyone here needs help painting their Heeah Id love to help, I love this sculpt so much however I'm based in Sweden/EU
