Ordering My Dollection

    1. That's... interesting. Wasn't Mydollection supposed to be based in Malaysia originally though? Looks like they might be rebranding and switching hands?

      As for Maydoll, I ordered a Lemon Cat from Legend Doll back in August last year. I asked about it yesterday and was told that it should be shipping in about 2 weeks.

    2. I got emails from this website today too. They're most definitely mydollection. When clicking the instagram link on umdoll's website, it leads to an account called dollectionshop, with there first post being on April 8th.Here is the link:

    3. I received a USPS tracking number this morning via email from Dollection. Tracking states Pre Shipment Label - USPS Awaiting Item. Let's see if it arrives.

    4. My dollection told me they got 8 dolls (of the type of doll I ordered). I never got an email update with shipping. My order on their site also says 'shipped' but also 'await shipment'. When I asked they said 'we shipped out the orders all ready". But no tracking. They told me the batch mine was in, would get to them in March.

    6. Dollection has said that Umdoll isn't them, and Umdoll has been cagey about it. It looks more and more like Umdoll was trying to spoof them and got caught, and now they're trying to reverse course. Everything about Umdoll seems very scammy, right down to their AI-generated logo, and I would not trust them at all.

      I'm waiting on an order from January that says "shipped" for the order status and "awaiting shipment" for the individual items, but I'm not planning to try to follow up yet because I know they're swamped.

    7. That's good to know. Thank you for the correction. ^__^. Guess I'll just wait and see what happens with my orders then. The umdoll thing made me a little antsy, but now knowing it's not mydollection, I feel a bit more calm.
       
    8. I got a tracking number and USPS says shipping label created and they are awaiting shipment. So yay. Am hopeful. And to be fair, the time window estimate for my heads was written at time of purchase as up to 6 months. Which is where we are. Will let you know.

    9. Hey guys, I wanted to join in on this thread after reading through it.

      I placed an order last August for a doll head and a 2Ddoll body in tan. I waited until probably December to reach out to them for an update. I was told that they have the head but the body isn’t ready yet. Okay, no problem. I’ve been in the hobby awhile so I get it. I waited awhile, and asked again in March if there are any updates, and they replied probably a week or so later telling me they’re still waiting on the body.

      I’m glad that when I message them I do usually get a response, but I’m getting worried. I’m not sure if this is normal wait times for a 75cm tan body from 2Ddoll or if the company is ridiculously behind and hasn’t been able to sort everything out. Is there any way I could reach out to 2Ddoll or should I continue corresponding with mydollection? This is just such a weird situation and at the time I ordered it didn’t seem like they were that shady.

    10. Unfortunately that seems to be the height of when things were, in fact, shady. It's changed hands since but the new owner doesn't have access to everything (like the official email, though i'm not sure why they don't just make a new one in the meantime) and was recently injured; if you reach out via Instagram you might be able to get through.

      I wanted to drop an update here since i did get in touch via instagram today, and according to them they have all but one item in my orders at the warehouse, so we'll see how it goes from here? Hopefully it's a similar story for more folks.

      I suppose that's that for that topic then unless something else comes up later. I hope nothing more will come up though. Still worried about where umdoll got our email addresses though? Was it someone who used to work there deciding to start a competitor or a data leak or what? :?

      I'm glad to see there's been at least few supposedly sent out orders from there. Guess I'll wait a little bit longer and then pester them about my July order.

    12. I have no interaction with Dollection, but I did order a (non-tan) body from 2DDoll in Dec 2023, through their Taobao store. It was shipped to my proxy in mid March 2024 -- a 3.5 month production time. Others in the 2D Waiting room report similar wait times.
      2DDoll's estimated production time (for domestic orders) is 4-5 months for a doll body, it might be a bit longer if you order through a dealer. But if your order was sent to 2D by Dollection in August 2023, 2D should've sent your doll body to Dollection long ago.

      I don't know how to contact 2DDoll directly besides using Taobao and/or Weibo (Chinese social media). In any case, you'd have to communicate with them in Chinese, which isn't hard with machine translation these days. You could ask them about your specific order, but they may not be able to disclose anything, since this is technically a dealer-supplier relationship. But they probably can tell you whether Dollection is known to them, and whether they received any orders from them. You may have to continue hounding Dollection about your order, or get them to ship the head to you first, since they apparently have it?

    13. I have an update: Since my 04/08 email was never answered, I messaged them on Instagram the other day and received a message the day after. Miraculous, my order changed from "awaiting shipment" to "track" on the website and received an email with a tracking number. This is where it gets interesting, the tracking number is for a shipping label created in Jamaica, New York. I can only guess (and hope) that my order is being shipped from China (or Malaysia) to a warehouse or shipping service in New York and from there to me. I will keep you posted!

    14. I can't say for certain for your order, but i know my overseas stuff always comes through Jamaica NY (as in, that's where the plane lands). I think there's an international customs hub or something there. Good luck!

When I was waiting for my Birdcube Fuguir head from MyDollection, I had this same type of tracking and USPS consistently flip flopped between it arriving and departing the shipping partner in Jamaica, NY. I ordered two sets of bunny ears from them in February because I could only find them there, so I'm not yet concerned about shipping. However, if you're having the issue I had when tracking my Birdcube head, use this website: Common Track - www.trackingmore.com

      It'll show you where your package actually is. There's a drop-down menu below where you enter the tracking number that says "Auto Detect". Change it to LTEXP before you hit search. You'll be able to see where your package is. Thought I'd save you the headache and frustration of not knowing. Good luck and I hope everyone receives their packages soon!

    17. Just wanted to update here as well. I was told that my package would be sent out after three working days after paying my final invoice (April 19) with tracking, but didn't hear back. I messaged them yesterday on Instagram after ten days of silence to see the status and it turns out they hadn't shipped him at all. I got a tracking number last night after confirming my email address, and like others here it's for NY. I was also told via Instagram that my package might be too large for USPS so they might change the courier, but as of this afternoon the tracking is still USPS. No movement yet. This has been a very weird transaction. I'll update here when my package starts moving!

    18. Well it's kind of comforting that at least some people have heard of them and had their packages sent out. Did everyone contact them through the email address in their site or through Instagram? I guess it's about time I start bothering them too since it doesn't look like they're going to be the person to contact me first no matter how long I wait for their initiative and in July it's going to already be the anniversary for when I placed my order with them and was quoted "4 month wait time". :huh?: before all this I always used their messenger to ask questions but it seems to be still disabled so it's not an option.

    19. They told me that they didn't have access to their email address, and the chat on the website has been disabled, so I'd say contacting them through Instagram is your best bet. I had to nudge them a few times, but they eventually responded to everything I sent.

    20. They replied to me via email but it didn't amount to much. Just a "we'll get back to you with a status update"

      To elaborate, at one point I noticed they had put a new email address on the website (which is not the one that's on there now, it changed again shortly after), I forwarded my past emails to that address. they replied with that email and CCed the one that's on the website now. So maybe they don't have access to the previous emails but it seems they might have access to the one that's there now.

      They spent most of the somewhat long reply warning against the fake dollection website/SM.

Mydollection got back to me on instagram about a day after I sent them a message and told me that they haven’t received any tan dolls from 2D doll but have received other resin colors and that they were going to reach out to 2D doll and get back to me. I’m keeping my fingers crossed, but I didn’t think 2D doll had such a long wait time for tan resin

    24. I got 1/2 my order today - a DAO Black head - though I thought it was to be the whole order of this and another head. The head arrived without COA - wrapped in generic no-label packaging, no identifying papers at all., and no head magnets , though there are two sets of magnet recesses. Weird. I love the head, but disappointed. Maybe wouldn't have been had both items arrived. We will see. I wrote them on IG to ask about tracking for second head. (BTW, tracking does not seem to work well from China.)

    25. I'm glad you at least got some of your order. Take pleasure in the small victories. . . But it is odd the head didn't come with a COA or identifying papers. I hope they gave you the real head and not a recast.

    26. Just popping in for an update: my tracking has not moved, and the doll hasn't been accepted by the carrier yet. So it looks like the label was created and then nothing. I messaged them on Instagram for an update. The label was created on Tuesday, so I'd expect it to have at least been accepted by the post at this point. I guess I'll have to wait to see what they say :sigh

    27. Mine took about 12 days from getting tracking number. It arrived even though USPS kept saying they had not yet received it from overseas! I made a mistake when I said I ordered my heads in October. I had ordered them in November. So arrived in 6 months. Very decent. I did not get both the heads that I ordered - and wrote to Dollections yesterday afternoon on IG. She responded this AM - less than 24 hrs after asking. And on the weekend! She is checking their warehouse. So - all good news.

    28. Dollections said the pre-order Black head was a non-profit pre-order by the creator that was advertised as coming without a COA. I, too, was worried about a recast - but there is a resin-impression identifying label in Chinese in the back of the head. And it appears high-quality except for no magnets.

    30. I wanted to update my order. I received my head today. The tracking number I was provided did not update at all. When I received the package, it was a different USPS Tracking number. I'm so happy I received my head. I hope everyone else gets their order soon. :3nodding:

I reached out about my January order the other day, and they confirmed that everything had been ordered and the head I was waiting on had arrived to them… but my order was still waiting on an accessory I’d ordered to hit the free shipping minimum. So that’s my fault, haha ^^; I’ll bet on stuff showing up later in the summer, because it was a 3-6 month production time. If I don’t have it by August, I’ll ask again.

    32. Dollection has been pretty responsive to me on Instagram. Asked when the rest of the Buddha Doll orders would get to them and she said end of May. I am not keeping my hopes up. Mine was supposed to be in the second batch because Buddha Doll was swamped and behind on orders. (Thats what Dollection told me) So we shall see.

      I normally order obscure Chinese dolls my self through taobao with SuperBuy. But Buddha Doll seems to be on weibo and that site refuses to let me make an account.

I finally contacted them through Instagram too and they responded in few hours saying my head & body should be ready but they'll have to check with the warehouse first but once they've confirmed everything's in place they will send it ASAP. Now excitedly/worriedly waiting for what will happen next.

On April 29 I received tracking and was told my doll would be shipping out, but today when I asked for an update I was told that it hadn't been shipped. When I pressed, they said that it looked like he actually had shipped, and was in customs. They're supposed to check the warehouse tomorrow for more confirmed tracking, but I guess we'll see. Just confused at this point.

    36. I will put it in the feedback thread once this whole transaction is done, but here's my update.

      I requested refund from MyDollection on March 28 and again on April 22 and forwarded to the old-new email on April 25. My refund request was acknowledged on April 25 by MyDollection via email.
      I requested update on May 1st and was told to wait, and refund was promised to come as long as they didn't ship it yet.
      I requested update again today May 9.
      They replied shortly after saying that the package was sent on May 3rd.:sigh "Due to an internal error"
      They claim the package can not be returned even though the tracking says it's still waiting to be picked by a carrier.
      They told me to contact again once the package was received. I wonder how many weeks it will take to process this "error" afterwards and finally put an end to this transaction.

    38. I saw someone mention the company "UM.Doll". Just curious on why they have a bad reputation. It seems their owner found me through FB on the BJD pages and messaged me. I personally asked them why they have a bad reputation, but haven't heard back yet. I've never bought anything from them, so I'm not worried or anything...Just new, learning, and curious haha
       
    39. Um Doll previously called themselves Dollection (the url was dot shop not dot com) and used the name of the current owner of Dollection on their site (Una). They were representing themselves as new storefront of Dollection and sent out email blast to many Dollection customers in the midst of this ongoing issue about changing the ownership and non shipping (I was not among them and bought my doll almost one year ago, so I'm not sure where they actually got the email list but anyway).
      Dollection claims that this is not them. While I've learned not to trust Dollection's word it makes no sense to tell your customer to avoid your new shop so I believe them in this case. After called out by Dollection they changed the name to Um Doll and deny what happened while harassing some people in private not to speak about what they did. I guess they contact you on social media due to your interest in bjds. Um Doll also sells known recast doll "brands" in the store so it's bad to buy from them you may received recast.

    40. I ordered a Xianyun Angel Cat from them in November. I messaged them a few weeks ago about the status and they replied with the following:
      "Currently we only got one right now"
      "we got one doll from xianyun already and awaiting the rest to came in ^^"
      "I will update the site tracking once i got the others"

      Anyone else order an Angel Cat or got a similar message? Wondering when it'll be :pout:
       
    41. Update. I finally received my order shipped 04/25...and they still managed to screw it! I'm so mad right now

      So I ordered 3 full Kaniboom travel kitties dolls, but I received 2 full dolls and a face plate. Nonetheless, I was charged for 3 complete dolls. I have never deal with such an incompetent dealer!

      It took over a year to get this order, so I don't have high expectations on receiving the complete doll or a refund. I messaged them on Instagram, and I'm waiting for their next excuse, sorry response.

    43. Has anyone heard from Dollection in the past few days? I'm getting to the end of my patience here. I was told multiple things, that he had shipped, that he would ship, etc. and nothing seems to be accurate, nor has my tracking number been updated at all. I understand that they might be overwhelmed, but I'm trying to press them for more accurate information. I'd love to hear that others are getting their packages! I've been given the runaround of "he'll ship tomorrow" since April 19th.

I figured that in a week they should have found it from their warehouse so I decided to bug them again. Guess I'll be doing that every few days from now on until I have a tracking code that works or actual explanation why I still should wait for even longer. I just want this to be over already so I can move on with my life. :sigh

    46. I received email reply yesterday. Did you hear back yet?
      My tracking still says USPS doesn't have the item since being shipped on May 3rd. I asked if they could not try to intercept it then if it's not moved, and process my refund without me having to receive and return. Dollection says that they asked the shipping partner to retrieve the package and they could not. So if what they said is true then I am dealing with just about as reliable a shipping partner as a dealer if they can't locate an unmoved package in 12 days. :eek:
      They claimed that maybe it's still moving through the system and not updated, maybe so. I've had packages skip a scan before. Never every scan along the way though.

    47. My tracking was sent on April 30th (USPS) and has not updated once. It states that the label was created, but it has not been picked up by USPS yet. Dollection hasn't said anything to me since 5/11 and that was just a one sentence reply of "sorry something came up over the weekend". I haven't had any updates about my package or its status since 5/7.
      This is just disappointing at this point. To note, I did order from Dollection in May 2022 and did receive my order. At the time that I placed the order, they created a shipping label that did not update for four months until the doll was ready to be shipped, so it may be a standard practice to create a shipping label before the package is ready to go out. That being said, it still doesn't help with the current timeline of what sounds like a lot of us. Hoping people hear back or get their packages (or refunds) soon.

    48. I received half of an order and also the "it is listed as in stock and they are looking for it in the warehouse" message for the last half of the order. That was 11 days ago. They seem to have stopped responding thereafter. All I want is clarification now. It is too bad. Many wonderful heads listed on their site. But poor customer service and lack of confidence will sink them.

    49. I haven't heard back from them on Instagram since May 11, despite sending them multiple inquiries. No update to my order, tracking is still a label for NY with no activity other than it was created. I'm looking into filing a PP dispute at this point. What a shame! I have no idea what happened, but I agree that the customer service has really tanked any good faith I had with them.

      I received a doll's dress that I ordered with taobao proxy yoybuy yesterday. I received package from dollection today.

      I'm still debating opening the box. It looks too small to hold a full doll inside. But someone advised me that if I return the item they may just ghost me :yawn
      I don't want to stir up any trouble or rumors so I'll say it vaguely, I think it's really important that you can trust your dealer... that's why I really wanted refund and not receive the doll anymore :( now I'm not sure what to do...

      my nerves got the better of me. I opened the box. thank goodness, the head is there with the right documentation. but as I suspected there's no body in there, not the eyes I ordered either. omg, I'm so done with this :...( pleeeeeeeeeaaaaaaase let's finish this, dollection!

    51. I'm so sorry to hear that Novalyna. Is it possible for you to do a paypal refund or a chargeback with your bank? Because missing items are unacceptable, especially after how long you waited for them.

      Also, after seeing an earlier comment about Dollection sending a head instead of a whole doll, my doubts are growing again. Doubts that I'll ever get my dolls and if so, I wouldn't be surprised if somehow my orders are wrong too. At this point, I've already emailed them saying I don't even want the small stuff anymore, just the dolls. D:

    52. unfortunately not. it has almost been 1 year since I bought her on June 1 :( I tried to do paypal claim a little too late. That was my mistake. I knew I was beyond the date but I didn't have any suspicions until then, because everyone had said they received their Dollection order but it was slow. It was automatically rejected by paypal due to the time. My bank only cover for 2 months. I hope anyone within the limit to file a claim with paypal will use that to their advantage. Filing a claim does give the seller time to respond and sent your items, and refund you if they don't. it's certainly beats losing both.
      Since I have no other avenues, I reached out to Dollection again. I hope they will right this. They were at least staying in touch so far and sent me legit item so I have one little drop of hope remaining.

      And I hope you'll get your items or some news soon, iPOUT. :eusa_pray it's so frustrating and nerve wrecking. I hope they can turn this situation around so that you get everything that you ordered without hassle. But if you can still claim, please don't make the mistake I made! mark the last day to claim on your calendar!

Hi Novalyna, this may not be the case for yours specifically, but... it looks like the Cedar Grove return address is likely a freight consolidator that works with many dealers including Taobao shops. Maybe someone else has even more detailed insight to this process, but the following is what I've observed along the way, and sometimes learned from what a dealer told me directly about their process.

      Usually it's a combination of warehousing and shipping consolidators to get the packages to their customers, sometimes the dealer never sees your goods in person. This can contribute to mixed orders and errors for certain. The shipping consolidator often receives one large box or container with all the orders outbound internationally, sorts them and sends smaller single shipments to each country to the partnered consolidator there, who then repackages and applies the label with the domestic tracking the customer has been given (sometimes before customs, sometimes after).

      The other version of one box at a time with services like SF Express, Orange Connex, Yanwen can be handled in a similar way and the tracking sometimes actually does not mean anything until the box is in the destination country, but you can sometimes track the origin tracking# using the apps like 17track, or in the case of Yanwen using their own app. SF Express has a different number associated until it hits USA for instance. However, EMS and expensive true express type (2day and such - or weeks for DHL LOL) UPS/FedEx/DHL usually keeps the same track number from start to finish and are less likely to have so many points of consolidators.

      When Dollection sent my horse, the ocean freight number never worked for me, but people in Europe could track theirs, likely those were ground freight. Once the boxes from the ship container arrived at the freight handler, they applied the FedEx ground labels and sent them to the customers from a town near LAX (City of Industry), which was a familiar address to me as well as many Orange Connex boxes I've received go through there too. Suddenly the FedEx# tracks, or pings if you have "alert me" set up.

      I hope it helps, and I'm also sad to see these experiences from so many people.
      I hope everyone can get resolution.

      (edit) p.s. - in no way was this an endorsement, it is just an example about a common practice of warehouse to shipping forwarder in other countries that do not have the same direct ability to ship internationally as others. I got a label from Jane in Cedar Grove the other day and chuckled a bit. but, what seems to be happening now with this specific dealer is another kind of thing entirely.

    56. If you have something you want that you've only seen on my Dollection. I'd recommend contacting Christina at New Clover Singing and asking if she can get it for you instead. That's what I did with my cat-taur I wanted when Dollection was new and untested (and oh boy am I glad I did) and Christina was amazing. She got it set up on her site, got all the questions I had answered regarding it. And I got it ordered and she came in with no issues or delays. Highly recommend!

      I totally agree with asking trusted dealer like Christina for anything you see on Dollection. Christina is awesome and reliable you don't need to wait for her to add an item to her store, all you have to do is reach out and she will add it for you if possible!!
      I thought it would be bad to ask her in this order case since I didn't know the maker's weibo or other contact. Now I'm regretting it so hard, I didn't even ask... :...(

    58. No communication since 5/11, so I have filed a dispute through Paypal. Part of me is still hoping I'll get a working tracking number or my package will show up, but I'm not holding my breath any longer. Here's hoping it's resolved soon, one way or another, so I can get on with my life :doh Hoping the same for everyone waiting!

    59. I had no info on the cat-taur either, except what Dollection had listed (so basically just the doll name and maker's name. I couldn't even find any other info by googling in English). Christina can do it!
