I'm really ready to cry. Ive had family die and lost all my dolls due to a house fire last year. I was so happy that I hadn't gotten Rapheal yet and it was a highlight of my past year. I just opened the box and her wings are shattered and her back and legs have been almost ground through by impact damage. Now, I'm going to have to wait a week for BJDIVAS to even reply and I can't even fully take the doll out of the box because it might fall apart.
I'm so sorry, that is such bad luck! Under normal circumstances it would be pretty bad but with the additional emotional attachments I understand why it's so heartbreaking. I hope you're able to get a response from BJDIVAS, for the parcel to be that damaged is really unfortunate I know there's not much I can say that be of comfort. I hope that some parts of the doll turn out to be undamaged and salvageable, if the artist can replace the damaged parts then that might be a bit easier than replacing the whole doll.
I'm sorry to hear this. Arrival and box opening are such special events, it's heartbreaking to open the box to discover a damaged doll. When you are able (you can take your time), why not assemble your documentation so you can send it through to BJDivas and/or to DLace. If you recorded a realtime unboxing video when you first opened the package, this is the ideal, as many Chinese companies prefer video evidence of how the goods arrived and how you unpacked everything. But if you didn't record a video, that's fine. Save any photos you took of the original box opening. Then take photos of everything as you left it when you stopped unboxing - the external mailer, the doll box, the doll inside the box. Try to photograph everything as it looks like currently, without disturbing it too much. If you remember anything from when you received the package and first opened it, see if you can write a written description of your impressions when you received the package and first opened it - basically, if you had any suspicion of damage when you received the package. (Was the external mailer dented? The doll box damaged?) A written description can support the photos and/or video. Then ou can send all of these to BJDivas and/or DLace, this will help you make your case about receiving compensation or a remade doll. If you already know this process of recording box openings and/or damaged goods, I'm sorry for repeating stuff you know. But I thought I'd write it all out here so there's something for you to refer to (and others too). It's sad and distressing to receive a damaged doll that's beyond your ability to repair. Wish you all the best with finding a solution, I hope you will receive a restored or replaced Raphael!
I'm so sorry you're going thru a rough time in your life. Receiving items in the mail are meant to lift our spirits, not crush them. D: I hope you're about to get either a refund, replacement parts, or both. I've never had this happen to me before so I don't know if any of the advice will be helpful. . . . But you should definitely file a claim with whatever company delivered your package. Depending on the company you might get a partial refund for your troubles. I hope BJDIVAS replies to you soon with good news. Best of luck you can get new parts.
I'm so sorry! This would be seriously devastating to me as well. We're with you, though, and rooting for everything to be made okay.
