Would love to see some more info about these heads! Or even how the artist lists them for sale. I think Kanea is a really fun sculpt.

Hello @Cloudedmind and @St. James ! I recently bought a My Dear Boy Everly head. I haven't seen too many other people with the sculpt so I hope this thread gets some attention. All the heads by this artist as so lovely.

Congrats! I have a white Kanea coming to me this summer! No idea when my plans for him will come together though. I just couldn't stop thinking about that crazy grin.

Yeah, it would have been easier if it was NS, but I'll figure it out. I need to find some more display busts for all these extra heads!

I have a maskcat girl body I wanted to try to hybrid with my Everly head. I think she would look cute on a petite body

 

Recently discovered MyDearBoy. Love the unique style! This is the first time I've actually liked girl sculpts too. I hope to get a Kanae on second handmarket I missed the March pre-order. Just purchased a Jessie and Sogeum secondhand though. Jessie will be my first girl doll! I want to make her Marin Kitagawa from My Cosplay Darling

Anyone know what bodies/resin they match?

 

I've collected a number of these heads but don't see a thread yet for them. Very unique sculpts!

From what I know of now the artist does not sell internationally and you need a proxy/agent for order's through their Naver if you are not in Korea.

I have gotten most of my heads from DoA second-hand market and Xianyu.

Their heads from my knowledge fit on 60-65cm bodies. But would love to get input from other owners as I am currently on the hunt for body resin matches.

I only have WS heads but their heads are almost a pure white so I am curious to hear of matches since most of my other WS heads/bodies are yellow in comparison.

From what I can tell from Naver girls fit SQ-Labs DG61 body and I am not too sure about boys.

 

Those heads caught my interest a bit. Any English places selling them?

 

their sculpt is so unique and gorgeous! I've come across them while looking at dolls on xianyu too, may I ask how you order from them? I have a taobao account and can read chinese but can't use alipay because no real-name verification

 

@manabusama Unfortunately no, the artist from what I can tell doesn't sell from any dealers, I haven't even seen her use TB agents so I think she might only sell in the Korean market.

@Miekka I would recommend Superbuy cheapest agent fee and you can copy a link from Xianyu app then open their app and a prompt will pop up which if you click yes will turn the Xianyu page into a shoppable page on their app. It's the smoothest buying experience I've had so far. Paid and they purchased my items same day.

However if you currently have orders out and want to consolidate shipping with New Clover Singing, My Dollection or BJDBhiner they can buy off Xianyu but you have to message/email them the QR codes, they charge higher fees (15-30%) and the process takes 2-3 days.

I just bought a MBD Hobin head on Xianyu through Superbuy, he has been my most wanted sculpt of MBD so I am glad he is finally coming home! I currently have Kanae, Soguem and Jessie. Soguem is out getting a faceup. Kanae and Jessie I hope to get face ups sometime next year and my Hobin is coming with the perfect faceup.

 

Oh yes I’ve seen their little anime chibi heads sometimes on my Instagram fyp. They’re so cute

 

Not that I have any plans to order at the moment. Money have not been my friend for some time And I really have to focus on completing the characters of some of the dolls I already got. But do you think it is still possible to order just by translating the site?

It might be possible. You could email (would have to use a translator) and ask. It's likely if they don't speak english well they don't want to deal with international shipping but you could find a Korean forwarding warehouse to send it to and then ship to you after. If you offer to do that its a lot more likely they would be responsive sending it domestically.

 

Yeah, maybe that could work. But anyways, I can not even think about new doll purchases for a while other than getting my current dolls completed. But of course this company got really interesting sculpts Might be I just go for one of the ones from Aimerai later as I would prefer the size to be MSD.

 

Thanks so much for the recommendations !! I knew superbuy could be used for taobao but I didn't know it worked for xianyu as well! I don't know why but I'm always so wary of shopping agents haha but I'm definitely gonna give them a try now!! I also had no idea dealers could also do xianyu!
it'll be harder to control my spending impulses though....... but I've been window shopping for too long.... I hope my wallet can handle this

thanks for the mention, that really is wonderful news!! I've been eyeing bernard and sove and another older (?) sculpt that is nameless so hopefully they will be available for order but honestly I'm not picky I love their style so much aaaa December is a hard month for my wallet.....

 

Really, that's great But, is it just this Dec, or is it from that month on you can order at any time?

Unfortunately for me, I can only focus on completing my current doll characters at the moment. But it does not hurt to keep my eyes on the site, just in case!


Edit: Never mind, I checked out their insta and it seems it is from this Dec you can order at any time. I'm really interested in these 2. But hope there's a head only order available also. I have no idea if they sell any body for the heads. I could only order a head at this point though. I have no idea what their names are, or if they have at all.

Haha I knew these dolls were hard to resist! I've long wanted a sculpt that showed more teeth. A more wide smiling, playful or cheeky looking sculpt with a bit of tongue showing. But back in the day most sculpts were no smiling, serious faces with closed mouths. And if you were lucky you'd come across one with a winking eye once in a while.

So I'm really happy to see that more doll makers make dolls like these now

Bringing this back on topic to large dolls, I have a MDB Hobin that I bought from a Korean owner via twitter! He's such a cool sculpt honestly ♡

 

Hi all!! I’ve submitted an order form for Leo and based on the instructions I thought I would get a PP link that included shipping but I haven’t gotten any response at all. Is anyone else ordering Leo or does anyone have experience with the “overseas ordering” via the email address? I’m afraid I’m going to miss out on this preorder and I gotta have that dimpled smile!

Edit: In case anyone else wonders about the process I followed up with another email and it turns out that the reply from My Dear Boy had gone into my spam. They did sent a follow up email with a PP link and a total that included the cost of shipping.

Anyway, I’m looking forward to seeing what everyone does with their Leos!
