this is a very nice pattern, not just for an Alice dress. thank you for it. I'm going to try reducing and enlarging it as well!
Oh yes, I have used the same pattern to make different dresses and they have been fine! I am happy it was useful for you!
Your doll and the dress are beautiful! Now I have something to do with all my left over light blue fabric Thanks for sharing!
Some of the images are broken! Its such a pretty dress and wonderful idea that I would love to make once I can see all the photos. ^__^
I know some of the images are broken. However I can't replace them because I can't find the originals. Sorry about that!
Hi Karla, I wanted to thank you for this tutorial, even without all the pictures it was really helpful in making an American Mc Gee's Alice cosplay for Faye. I used the bodice pattern without any alteration and it fitted greatly.
Oh that's awesome, I'm so happy to see the dress too. I love American McGee's Alice so much, and you did an awesome job. Sorry the pictures went, it annoys me so much since I took so many. Something odd happened to my photobucket account.
Nothing ever goes away on the Internet. :-) I just found this and really enjoyed your explanations. I don't know if it helps you, but many of the pictures are now unavailable. They may have been moved from their stored location. I got the ideas, though. Thank you for sharing.
I can not get back the pictures sadly, since I have changed computers since, and they have gone from the site hosting them. Since I put them on Photobucket. I am still happy that even though the pictures are gone people are still finding it useful. However sadly I have looked into the pictures, and there is nothing I can do. It is a bit annoying since I did take a lot of pictures to try and explain.
Oh cool best of luck with that, if possible it would be awesome if you shared pictures! I would love to see what you did with it!
I wasn't very good at sewing when I first started the hobby, but I just kept at it. Just start simple and work up as you build confidence. Also YouTube is an amazing resource for people actually showing you how to do thing these days. You don't need dedicated BJD ones to show you techniques, but I really recommend going for it. It is a very nice feeling when you create something for your doll.
