MSD Budget bodies?

    1. I have an MSD girl head coming in and I've probably spent weeks trying to find the right body for her. I've been leaning heavily towards Doll Leaves' 43cm Ver.II body because it's my ideal price and seems to be a great poser, but there's just one thing about it that bothers me. I'm concerned it's not the most mature-looking, and I really want this character to look like an adult. So I thought before I dive in and get that one, I might as well look at all the options first. I've looked at bodies from tons of companies (basically every company that ACBJD sells) so I might have already seen all my options, but just in case there were any I overlooked, I thought I'd ask the experts. :kitty1

      I've given myself a strict budget so I would love to find a body that's under 150 USD (at least on sale, so from a company that regularly has good events). Good posing would be awesome, of course (a body that can sit on its legs would be even more awesome, lol). I'd love her to be between 43cm and 50cm tall. Also, I've been shopping for resin, but if there are any super amazing vinyl bodies out there that hybrid well with resin heads, I'm open to that too.

      I'm aware I'm asking for way too much and will probably end up going with the Doll Leaves body in the end, but I thought it was worth a shot, haha.

      Note: If any of these companies have a body you'd recommend or that I've obviously overlooked, I'd love to hear about them.

    2. - True Love has body for $140 (link goes to legend doll) I have their boy body and it's easily one best poser I have.
      - Doll Leaves Myth body looks a bit more mature to me than their older bodies but you probably already saw that one, I personally like it a lot, it's fun to handle.
      - Fect doll bodies seem to go for $140 so it's one option to consider, no personal experience on that so I don't know how good it is.
      + of course everyone's favorite budget options:
      - Resinsoul bodies. Link goes to Denver doll because their site is easier to browse and actually lists all/most(?) the bodies available. Somebody more familiar with them can probably chime in on how good posers they are. But I know they can do resin matching so that's a plus.
      - Angel of Dream bodies. Another I have no experience on but these bodies are shapely and look really nice to me.

    3. @digi Thank you so much for taking the time to write this, it's truly helpful and gives me some options I hadn't considered before! I have seen several of them but not really considered them properly until now, and several of them I had never heard of at all. A couple even have larger necks and shoulders than the Doll Leaves body, which I would really prefer! I think I'm especially interested in the True Love body...now to find out more about it!

    4. UFdoll has a 1/4 vinyl body in your price range, but it's a little smaller (available on LegendDoll)

      Fantasy Doll/FDoll has an $88 msd body. Aesthetics-wise it goes to the Resinsoul category.

      From your list, Withdoll bodies are great, I hear, and they do do sales and events regularly. So does Myou, their ver 1 body could be something fitting for you.

      If you're not in a hurry, I'd keep an eye on second hand channels! A lot of bodies that check all your boxes might drop into your price range like that. I'd also not brush off older bodies - my ancient Dollzone single jointed poses incredibly well and the slightly later model with more/double joints pops up second hand often. Mandarake would be especially good to check for that!

    5. Huajing are nice enough. I was quite impressed by the one I got a few months back.
      I was also quite impressed with the doll leaves bodies in terms of mobility.

      I have a myou body as well which is hefty and poses nicely.

      If poseability matters to you i'd suggest doll leaves over resinsoul. I love resinsoul but their bodies are simply not as well engineered.

      That's good to know about Withdoll. I was interested in their MSD body and I think the aesthetics are more what I'm looking for. Maybe if I wait for an event it could be in my price range!

      I've thought about putting out a WTB for MSD bodies and seeing what comes up. I've actually discovered new companies in the past by seeing their dolls come up on the second hand market, so I might even discover something I hadn't thought of before. It might be worth a try!

      I've heard this from quite a few people now! It seems the Doll Leaves body is truly great with posing!
