Most expensive doll you bought? Least expensive doll you bought?

Marigold is my least expensive, even with her custom color split, and I think Jack's now my most expensive, not just because of the resin tone, but because he's the only doll I've gotten a company faceup for. Pretty sure that bumps him up to most.

 

The most expensive doll I bough is not even a full doll just the head. (The original price of the full set doll was about $800). She is my grail(unicorn) and I honestly though I would never own one because the full set on the second hand marketplace usually sells for about $2000-$5000. The nude dolls and just the heads sell from about $1000-$2000.

So I had already give up because every head I found out was over the $1000 price. Until one day I found out a head with default eyes and in great condition for $800 including shipping and PayPal fees. So I knew the chances of finding another good deal like this were slim or none. So I just bought the head. The head sculpt is a Dollfie Dream dynamite Sasara White Gothic version.

The cheapest doll I have bought was a full set. I have had dolls cheaper than this, but not full set. She is a Dollfie Dream Sister Akira 1st version. Her original sell price was about $700-$800, but I found her under $400 including shipping and PayPal fees. She was a full set brand new

My most expensive is my Volks Yayoi Takatsuki at $872.00. Though $400 was b-day gift money. I found her as a fullset on Mandarake, in pristine condition. My least expensive is my SOOM Leepy and Rudy who tied at $175.00 (blank, no eyes, no fullset). My normal limit is $200 for a doll, so Yayoi blew that rule way out of the book, lol.

 

Most expensive: Immortality of Soul Count of Monte Cristo for $1568. My cheapest was likely my Magical Angel Kelly for about $200. It's been a long time since I bought him so I don't remember the exact price.

 

My most expensive was an Immortality of Soul Count of Monte Cristo fullset who was about $1560 while my cheapest was a Miracle Angel Kelly for, I think about $200 or $250. It's been a few years so I don't remember the exact price. Both of them are SD sized.

 

My most expensive, who was a massive impulse buy, because she came with nothing but her COA and her box. Was a Volks Lieselotte, The in my closet room Ver. She was two thousand plus shipping and fees. I feel like I didn't think when I bought her because at the time, following the law of idiocy, whenever you are looking for something, it becomes scarce. So now I left looking to buy separately the BTSSB outfit set she was supposed to come with.....

My cheapest is a Volks Nana (F-01) from 2002. She cost less than two hundred. An pretty interesting divide.

A girl ten times the price of the other......damn.

 

My most expensive doll is probably my Soom Arkose (70 cm), approximately $1100. And the least expensive doll that I bought was my second doll : Mei by Resinsoul (45cm): maybe some $200.

 

My most expensive BJD is a Migidoll Yujin (65cm). I bought his head second hand but with an artist face-up so kinda $$. Probably just under $500 total.

My least expensive BJD is a Doll Love YouYou (21-22cm?). I think she was on sale for around $100

I'm in the process of getting a doll that will be around 700$ if I can't find the body second hand. I've also bought a doll off the second-hand market for 60$

 

Cheapest now stands at my Dikadoll Finn who was £50 third or fourth hand lol.
I've gotten a lot of secondhand dolls for under £100 but usually we're talking more like 80-90.

 

My most expensive was my Iplehouse Dexter, with all the choices I made on him he was around $900 if I remember right. The cheapest one I have bought was a bubble pet Molly, which I believe was around $200.

 

Probably my Ringdoll/DV hybrid I think.He is not at home, I pay the last bit of the layaway this month. But they all around 600$+ taxes, costums, etc.. Better not thinking about what they cost after I pay evertything. Cheapest is my DC Laney, because I'll get a fullset pet doll with her for free. She was 599$. Still waiting for her too. In real price for one doll my first ever Iplehouse EID Victor was 550$ But I sold him a few times ago...

 

Most expensive: Iplehouse Audrey, through Doll Choice, in Ebony resin-- $900.
Least expensive: probably my Granado Boyd/Mirodoll hybrid, all parts bought secondhand-- around $220. Most of my dolls are secondhand, hybrids, and closer to this end of the price scale. The only 2 that were really expensive as BJD prices go were the Iple Audrey and my Souldoll Zenith dude.

 

Most expensive: Soom Euclase Full set, ~$1100 or so. NO REGRET THOUGH, I've waited 10 years lol

 

Most expensive doll I've Ever bought: A Soom Morga head ($525) and a Miracledoll body to go with it (around $350 i believe) for my fiancee. She's an SD. Morga was her grail and her first doll.
Most expensive doll I've bought (for myself!): I was on the fence about which counted for the most expensive doll I've bought for me. Are we counting total value or what we paid for it? My Pygmalion Eita/Dollshe hybrid (72cm) would be the most expensive (around $800 total) but I got the body on sale for half off... Second most expensive would be my DoD Appi Jama (YOSD) on layaway for $600.
Least expensive: Unidoll Cupi, $110 plus maybe $20 shipping. YOSD. My first doll.

Most expensive individual doll without shipping would be my DC Ant for $132; wish shipping it would be my Resinsoul Chun who was only $100 but with the weight of the package (I also am getting a used 70cm mirodoll hybrid for $70 from the same owner!) The full cost was about $260? Although those dolls have been stuck in Australia for about a week!

My cheapest doll is the Resinsoul Mei I got off an ebay auction for $64... her back is heavily stained and I have a feeling she's going to smell like tar just from the pictures but hopefully she'll clean up nicely

 

My most expensive is Dollpamm Seravie, at $350. My least expensive is Dikadoll Jia at I think $260? I only have these two for now

 

Most expensive would be my secondhand Doll Chateau Erwin and he ended up being a hair under 400 including shipping. I love his lanky strangeness!

Least expensive is my Impldoll Bosco who I impulse bought and planned to steal his body. He was 60, then I was refunded 10 because he arrived with a broken hand. I love him sooooo much now and he's become his own character. He's objectively ugly (I prefer to think vintage haha) but I don't ever see him leaving my collection. Can't beat an sd for 50 bucks either.

 

My most expensive was easily my IOS AOT Levi, with two full outfits plus his 3D maneuver gear...and at an insane price on the secondhand market that I can't even bring myself to admit to. Yikes, I doubt I will ever spend that much on a doll again, or it will truly mean that I well and completely lost my sanity. My cheapest doll was...wait...cheap must be a relative term...is there such a thing? Hm, it's possible that I may need an intervention...

 

Technically my most expensive doll right now was around $1k for the body + heads (she has two heads), however the doll I have that is worth the most is probably my Culur Theory Ery (banned here). I paid the cheapest price for her during the first preorder though.

My cheapest doll is probably my DF-A DuoDuo, which I paid only $60 for on sale haha. I haven't done anything with her yet but she is a cutie! I really need to come up with a plan for her... (I think she might be off topic as well, as she's not very heavily jointed haha).

 

I first saw my "grail" Dollfie back in 2014, when she was first released. It was love at first sight! Back then, I only added resin BJDs to My Crew, I was like "I can't see my self paying as much or more for a mere vinyl doll."

Jump to December 2022, eight years later.

After a series of terrible life events, I took the advise of a very learned friend who said, "You've had it rough lately. You should do something nice for yourself." So, late one night, I decided to look around and get myself a doll. I found my grail, but she was super expensive, like she has been ever since I first missed out on her. After messaging two different sellers and having my "Make an Offer" offers rejected, I finally broke down and used a credit card to get her from a third seller, and for less. Luckily for me, she was still Mint In Box! I even managed to find some super-expensive outfits for her.

All in all, I paid nearly $1300 for my Volks Dollfie Dream Hatsune Miku. She is SD size.

Looking at my notes, it seems that my cheapest doll is my (DIM) Doll In Mind Minimee Hellsing: Alucard head and (On Topic) 2014 Mirodoll 68cm boy body. I paid $150 for his head and $200 for his body, for a total of $350. One of my biggest dolls is also one of my cheapest.

The most expensive was definitely my Volks Hermione (who I'll probably sell once she comes in...) at $1,200 USD.

My least expensive is my Bobobie/Resinsoul Yu at $70. Incidentally, she's one of my favorites.

 

My most expensive is my favorite, SD Lieselotte.

My cheapest was free and I gave her away years ago. The cheapest I paid money for is my SF Hana who is generally ignored, but still cute.

 

Most expensive was an Unoa Older Sister that came with all the faceplates and everything, so about 47cm? Bought her for around $800 after shipping. And the cheapest I've bought has been a Resinsoul Ya, so about $180 with shipping. She is a 42cm. Both are MSDs, but one had considerably more within the order than the other, as well as being from a well-established artist whose dolls are harder to get a hold of.

 

Most expensive is kind of a tie between my Charm Doll Victoria and my Mayakdolls Ichi, since I paid more for her head than I have for some complete dolls, and then I had to get her a body. My current cheapest is probably my Fairytale Silicon boy; he’s preloved, yellow and floppy, but I adore him.

 

Priciest I believe was my Black Cherry Dolls Zeri, who might have crossed the $500 line. Cheapest? Huajing Doll Tian Ni at around $230 if I remember correctly. I love them both and each has their pros and cons beyond price point, but I always find it so funny that Tian Ni is my best poser of the bunch!

 

So far my most expensive doll is my Fifth Motif Venitu, that I bought second hand in 2015. I wish he will stay at this place forever! I do not want to pay that much for a doll again.
And the cheapest is my ex Custom House Raffy (or my Custom House Darea, I'm not sure). I got it for around $50-$70 when Ai doll made crazy events in 2010 or 2011.

 

My most expensive was a Doll Chateau Dora (peach skin, blank), for $349.

My least expensive was a Bobobie Isabella (normal skin, with faceup), for $98.

Both are 1/6 scale.

 

My most expensive was Lati Yellow Lara full set at $440. Least expensive was Pukifee Luna, second hand for $150.

My most expensive doll was Volks Suiseiseki, she was $2100, followed by my Volks Charlotte, I bought her here second hand just after her first release and she was $1600, but I do not regret it! These girls together with my Volks Miruku are my favorite after so long!!
The cheapest was a Doll Love doll I do not even remember his name, it was a YoSD size and it was about $80, about 13 years ago now.

 

Well, my last post was 2018, time to update it!

• The cheapest doll I have purchased was my Angel Elf Soo from YJapan for around $350 with shipping. Both of her ears were broken off, but I've repaired them since then.
• The most expensive dolls I've purchased is a toss up between three. Soom Heliot, DC Apocalypse, and Peakswoods Gumiho Neo. All of them were $1,000+ after shipping.

 

My most expensive was a 1/6 zuzu26 lio romance at $322 (purchased face up and brown skin)

My least expensive was a 1/6 resinsoul/bobobie Isabella at $98 which I used to practice restringing, taking the head off, switching eyes, etc. (No longer have her)

 

My most expensive doll is currently on layaway as we speak (drat my budget anyway!) She is the very limited re-release of the mermaid, Dollzone Sawarieda. I found a dealer with generous layaways which will enable me to bring this particular grail of mine home at last, otherwise I could never have made the dream of owning her come true. I was able to get her in a very limited purple skin tone, and her price tag came to roughly $1200.

My cheapest was an old Volks MSD F-01 from 2004 that I picked up many years later in the second-hand marketplace here in DoA. She was unevenly yellowed (fully disclosed by the seller of course.) But I was looking for a 1/4 doll to do a white Mexican “day of the dead” faceup on, so she was perfect. She only cost $85…what a bargain!

 

I had only spent around $450 on my first doll for the head and body, I never thought it would be possible to spend more than that. Last January I blew through $1000 on my grail thinking I was ridiculous and I could never possibly do that again (and boy I was sooooo wrong).
$1600 on an aftermarket Vocaloid Len Dollfie in September only for him to rerelease for retail sometime this year
$1600 is my limit now, never going over that haha

 

My cheapest (non event add on) doll would be my Bobobie Elfkin who was just under 100 with wigs (2), eyes, and eye putty, my most expensive would probably be my Doll Chateau Charon fullset who was about 650 including shipping and if it hadn't been for layaway I wouldn't have afforded her.

 

Narmor and River from soom are the most expensive for me, now. The cheapest will be sezz from ios, they have discount at that time 100USD per head! Then I spend about 100USD for sezz's body.

my second second hand bjd. body i wanted, head i wanted, even with company face up. ~185$ with shipping included. fine for used (but not used) doll with few days (not months) of waiting.

 

Most expensive was my Lolita Soony, at $950 (totally totally worth it!)

Least expensive full doll was my most recent, a Delf Yder, at $300.

My most expensive doll is a Magic Mirror Levon, who between exchange rates and shipping came to about $700. I don’t regret it at all though. He’s easily my favorite doll and came with eyes and an artist faceup.

My cheapest was my Doll Leaves Berg, who I also really really love!

 

Most expensive - Napalm Dolls Hush around 600 dollars (bought from the UK so exchange rate made it expensive). But she came with clothing and her original bag and I love that doll so no regrets.

Cheapest - a secondhand Doll Chateau for 250. Also no regrets - she’s a little scuffed up but I don’t mind, and she’s got poseable fingers!

 

Most expensive - Aimerai Akagi (68cm fullest / aimerai x code noir limited edition) was almost $800 which is way more than I ever thought I'd pay for a doll but here we are haha. Love him so much though.

Cheapest - Supia Doll Hannah, was able to get her second hand for $250+shipping which felt like a steal since she had the company faceup and full body blushing.

 

Most expensive - Off the top of my head I think it was my Doll Choice Iplehouse Ron which cost me about $1000 but I have several hybrids which cost nearly as much.

Cheapest - My Obitsu elf Gretel who I paid about $60 for on eBay… she came in immaculate condition with a lovely Garden of Dolls faceup. I understand that these older Obitsu sculpts are slightly harder to come by now so I treasure her

 

Most expensive would be the fantasy versions of Dream Valley Sylves and Dream Valley Order which were a bit over $500 each.
I think my least expensive doll was my Resin Soul Yan for like $180

 

Most expensive would be my Volks FCS SD girl who I've ordered through an agent - she'll probably set me back about $1000 USD once she's finished and in the post.
Least expensive is Marin, my SDC Toki/MSD girl hybrid from Dolly Teria, for ¥12,500, but her grumpy little face is priceless to me!

 

Most expensive is my Euphoria - Narmer from idealian soom which cost me almost 1400 up with shipping but he totally worth it and no regret because I waited for a long time for him to come out again. I would buy another if I have $$$$ My least expensive is my Snowball from loong soul fullset $400.

 

My most expensive dolls tend to range right around the $1K mark - usually because I also order brown resin and as many optional hands and feet as I can (those tend to add up). I generally order Iplehouse face-ups too for my big girls, because I've found them consistently beautiful. Still sad that Iplehouse doesn't offer hand and foot blushing anymore - they did such a beautiful job.

Cheapest? Ooh. That's a tie between my Minoruworld Jr. Leila tiny ($80) and the Angel of Dream 58 cm body I found on Mercari (U.S.) for $75. The AoD body was just the best purchase for me as a newbie collector, because I learned to string, dye, and hot-glue suede on that body.

Most expensive doll I bought was DoDollsDream Misao (650 Euro). But she really worth it, beautiful sculpt, mold, skin color.
Cheapest doll was AtelierMomoni Somny. Not sure, but about 350 Euro. She is really cute, good poser and so tiny.

 

Most of my collection has been acquired second hand and I've been lucky to have stumbled upon some very good local listings without being overly picky with the willingness to do some tlc. My cheapest doll was a Dollzone Shoyo that I paid €50 for (she was in quite a sad shape).

My most expensive is probably my Unoa/Huajing hybrid because all parts are brand new and I paid extra for a tan body. But even so, I don't cross many collectors' "cheapest doll" threshold with the €200-something sum

 

Cheapest? Dream Valley Coco for like, $80. Scored her in a sale at Clover Singing; I got lucky.

Most expensive? Dream Valley Griffin the dragon in white. Not the most expensive option for him but easily the most I've paid for a doll. But he's gonna be worth it.

 

My most expensive doll is my dream valley withered black horseman who was around 1200$ and almost 400€ custom fee He is 75cm tall, fullset and came in 3 packages.
My cheapest doll is my gem of doll puff. She is 1/6 and was about 180$

 

Most expensive doll, hands down, is my Volks F38 boy in sunlight skin. I ordered him through a proxy here on DoA with the works. Custom faceup, extra hands, wig, eyes, outfit...When all was said and done he was about $1400. He's the only doll purchase of mine that broke 4 digits. I was blessed at the time with the money to get him and I don't regret it but I do look back like...wow. How did I do that?? xD

Cheapest doll is a bit tricky for me to figure out...I've been gifted a number of dolls by close friends so technically they were free? But if we're talking dolls I actually paid for...maybe the $79 Soom Gem girl body I got from SKYWHYS? Uneven yellowing and broken/missing fingers on one hand. But I adore the body and it's perfect for my F60 Sionna head.

 

Most Expensive: Very likely my Atelier Momoni Pitusas. I love them to pieces, but they are the most I've spent on a BJD thus far. Oh, totally worth it though, I had been admiring them for years and in hand they're even better than I had thought they were. The faces are so characterful and the posing is amazing. Plus the resin just feels really nice.

Cheapest: Um, oh! That would be my little Resinsoul pups! Still adore them to pieces, and honestly tend to me my go to for just picking up a doll to sit with for a little bit. I still have a few Resinsoul sculpts that I really like, so who knows what the future will bring.

 

Most Expensive: My big frankendorrie takes the cake on this one. (Angell Studio Rebus head + IoS Class70 body + Dollzone jointed claw hands + Leekeworld goral horns)
Cheapest: My second-hand Dream of Doll DoC Petsha. Bought her from a local doll owner at a fair price.

 

My most expensive doll was back in 2006, a Volks Spring Stroll Liz who was $1200. I still have her and she’s a favorite. My least expensive doll was free - a volks sei tenshi I won in the lottery at the Volks Mansion party in 2005.

 

Pretty sure my most expensive is my Dolfie Dream 9S (bought secondhand). Unfortunately I've never really been able to bond with him; he was kind of an impulse buy from very early on in my time in the hobby.

I think my cheapest is my little DollZone KeAi that I found on Xianyu! He was actually a grail of mine for a while—super cute and super hard to find outside of the Chinese market. So I was thrilled to find him at all, especially at a reasonable price!

 

Most expensive is my Angelheim Raul. I bought him from a friend in 2012 for $850. It took me a long time to bond with him as he was an impulse buy because my friend had announced she was parting with him only a few weeks aftwer she got him, and I just knew I wanted him so much. But in the end, we got there.

The "Cheapest" is my Bobobie Nissa; she was free, a gift from a friend as a thank you to a few of us that helped out a fellow BJD person. I bonded with her immediately and named her Largo... after the Bond villain (though she's not villainous, just a librarian)

 

My most expensive was my Iplehouse doll choice Leonard that cost $1,000+ I got him with a custom faceup to look like one of my favourite video game characters.
My cheapest is a smilesdoll flore I bought from DoA for around $220.

 

Welp, cheap doll remains the same. New winner of most expensive doll: Littleoverbearingceo Lost Myth Ares. With shipping and all, he ran me $1,300.
Big bois are PRICEY. WOOF.

 

The most expensive doll I've ever bought was probably my Ring Doll Red King - Retro Version. With full set, shipping and customs fee I paid almost $1,100.

The cheapest was a YoSD from Doll n Doll I purchased from a collector who was leaving the hobby and was selling everything for cheap, if I'm not mistaken I paid around $50.
