20–39cm Dolls Moon (Mtheorybjd)

I started this doll on June 29th and I haven't been able to put her down since. My muse has been riding me like a rented horse. I couldn't be happier with how she's turning out.
Her head/face was originally for my frog body but it wasn't working quite right. So this body suits her perfectly.

 

Gagh, I can't figure out how to post pictures. Pressing onward...

 

Trying to remember which parts were done at which time and posting them by days.... I believe these pictures show when I changed her ankle joints to larger balls.

Her first sanding done and some priming and more sanding. We're about caught up at this point, soon I'm going to discuss a price with my caster and start her first preorder. I just have to finish details on her hands and feet.

Using plastic beads saves me a lot of trouble and frustration because I always have a hard time making perfectly spherical balls from clay. I tried wooden beads and found that they can warp and they're hard to drill channels in or cut, so I switched. I don't do my own casting so I can't say if its easier but my casting company hasn't complained so it must be alright.
