I started this doll on June 29th and I haven't been able to put her down since. My muse has been riding me like a rented horse. I couldn't be happier with how she's turning out. Her head/face was originally for my frog body but it wasn't working quite right. So this body suits her perfectly.
Trying to remember which parts were done at which time and posting them by days.... I believe these pictures show when I changed her ankle joints to larger balls.
Little video.... Imgur And more pictures... this is when I was fixing her butt so she could better sit.
Her first sanding done and some priming and more sanding. We're about caught up at this point, soon I'm going to discuss a price with my caster and start her first preorder. I just have to finish details on her hands and feet. Next to my first boy Richard Next to my mnf moe line girl. And the rest is spraying and sanding her parts. I hope you enjoy her as much as I do.
Oooh, she's really lovely ! I love her hips and booty And of course, Her cute smile ! And damn, you're fast * o * Awesome !
You named her moon? That is the perfect name for her. Her body and face are so mesmerizing! She is wonderful!
I really like her proportions! She's got a great impish face too! I never would have though of using pearl beads for joints. Does this make it go faster when building your doll and for casting? I'm really interested in making my own and am interested in the thought process.
Using plastic beads saves me a lot of trouble and frustration because I always have a hard time making perfectly spherical balls from clay. I tried wooden beads and found that they can warp and they're hard to drill channels in or cut, so I switched. I don't do my own casting so I can't say if its easier but my casting company hasn't complained so it must be alright.
Awesome, thank you so much. I really like the idea and getting perfectly round balls intimidated me as well.
Resin Moon Resin Moon Here she is, all finished in resin. =D (Let me know if you can't see the pictures....)
