40–49cm Dolls Miyabi, my MSD-size custom art doll

I've been promising this to people... here are the first pictures of Miyabi, my MSD-size custome-made BJD. I made her with super sculpy and she is just a head ATM, but I believe I may be making her a body.

I'm thinking of covering her with apoxy or something to sand it smooth and all. I just haven't decided what yet...





I think the mouth needs more work. XD At this point I'm just glad that the ears look half-decent...

She DOES look odd. Really, really odd. I'm doing a lot of reshaping and tweaking on her face, especially her mouth and upper lip. I do like her nose though.

 

I did some work on Miyabi... reshaped her head some and generally made her look more human. Her body is also in the works, but for now...

I'm also doing a little work on her body... slowly. I'll post pictures once I get the head right...

 

XD Well, in the past I made a doll arm, but Miyabi here is my first doll. And yeah, it's easier to sculpt AFTER the sculpey is baked. Especially while still more.

The nose, ears, and eyes will get more work when I get the equipment that I want~!

Okay... Pictures of what I consider the final head, appart from finalizing the neckhole. I'm thinking I'll skip making a body for this head and just make it so she fits on a Kid Dollmore body.

I will be casting her in resin, mostly for practice.
