40–49cm Dolls Miu Shima Alan

I haven't ordered a new MSD in more than 10 years, so seeing this guy I realised how far BJDs have come in terms of aesthetics and mobility. I'm seriously in love with this body, so I actually bought THREE () but since the shipping is so expensive (seriously, I could probably afford a fourth body with that much money...), I'm waiting for a better opportunity to ship the third one here.

It took about 5 months to produce everything and ship it to my intermediary in China, and then one more month for me to receive everything here. I was a bit worried about having to transport two bodies to another city by train, but the boxes are surprisingly light, maybe like 3 kg in total tops! Which is a plus. I'm used to dealing with huge 70 cm dolls, so handling something so small feels nice in comparison

To be honest, I don't appreciate the sort of paper-like outer cover. It's a pain to open the box because you have to basically slide the box from out of it, and you have to line everything perfectly to cover the box again when you're done... I really hope the box design will be improved in the future. (Because I absolutely will order another body in tan someday... )​

Otherwise, though, the inside of the box is very well protected, no cheap plastic covers so prevalent in Chinese BJD companies. It feels and looks expensive (if you disregard the outer paper cover) and the doll inside is secure! Though I am puzzled why the cerificates don't have any info written on them, like the mold name, skin colour, anything besides the artist's name. I mean, it's not like it's a requirement, but it's the first time I see a certificate like this one. ​

I was not a fan of the head when I bought it. I only got it because I have no MSD heads in white skin, but actually it looks cute irl. Although, a bit simple in comparison to the body.





I love this body. I. LOVE. THIS. BODY. It's the prettiest MSD boy body I've ever seen, and it can MOVE, and holds a pose like a champ!





And it comes in with several gesture hands!



He can fully kneel and looks so cute doing it too

The artist states 41.5 cm for just the body without the head, and I just took the measurement, he’s about 47 cm with the head.
It’s a relatively new artist so there is only one official dealer. But the artist does have a shop on Taobao, and that’s where I bought my boy!
