I just got reply back from BC on whether it's blue resin or surface treatment on the Q&A

Hi, I just saw the prototypes for MB Roko and the new face yesterday.
The blue is a very pale baby blue (thus "misty") and the resin is smooth and refined.
The lighting at the restaurant was crappy so please excuse the photo quality.

Really? When I put 12mm in her, there's a slight gap... while I do like the iris size, gaps drive me crazy. I have 14mm one from Ginarolo that look beautiful in her.

 

At the Saturday meet up in NYC we tried 12s (Ginarolos stunning glass eyes) on the Rokos that belonged to Sgtgeorgecarter and another lovely lovely member who I've met 2 zillion times and yet I don't know her user name, and they fit really well. You do see white with them though, that may not be to your taste.

 

Ginarolo's eyes are great. I was hoping to see the 12mm on my Roko but I couldn't go on Saturday. The 14mm she sells fits bettter than the one that came with Roko.

If you have an order number, I'm sure you're fine. They should've sent you one that says, "Babicrony - [Your Name]. Thank you." but if you didn't get that, then submit payment with your order number in the subject and comments, and you should get another email from them (give it a couple of hours) saying, "Babicrony - We confirmded order which [Your Name] ordered."

If you don't get that, I would post on their Q&A w/ your order number.

 

I don't mind white (as in the white of the glass?) I mean, there are gaps between the edge of the eye and her eyelids, so that you can see into the inside of her head (or rather, see the eye-putty). That happens w/ both my 12mm HG round, and my 12mm oval flatbacks... but Ginarolo's fill up the eye-space completely? That's great news! I'd love to have 12mm in my Kumi instead~~

Good luck! It just occurred to me~ have you checked what it says when you put your order number in on the 'order status' page? Maybe that can put your mind at ease while you wait? XD

Also--does anyone know, are the face-ups being done by ViYa? It says, "directed and produced" by her, so... I would assume so? Since I see nothing else about face-ups... I would feel much better about how much she cost if she were getting a ViYa face-up~~

 

They do. The low dome ones fit very snugly. The high dome ones leave a little sliver of gap. But I do mean sliver. Gaspard has low dome 12mm and there's nary a bit of space.

 

Lelei: I think it is a Viya faceup and if it makes you feel better BC says it cost 5times as much to produce blue resin than it does normal skin or snowskin. So Resin cost alone should make you feel better

 

I think for my Kumi, the violet eyes contrasted in such an amazing way with her blue face I couldn't justify not buying them. Arguably Roko has the perfect eyes for this skin color but Kumi's eyes look like Amethyst gems set into her face. I just fell in love with the whole misty blue elf Kumi package, there's no aspect of this little girl I don't love.

They are really beautiful~ I'm hoping the HG glass ones they send will be in either a similar shade of purple, if not blue. And I agree, while I loved the eyes for Roko, the wig and outfit for Kumi just clicked for me~~ she's so perfect. +_+

And as guilty as I feel about the purchase... I realized it's silly, cause she still cost me less than my yo's did, and they didn't even come with outfits!! XD Ahh, I can't stop going back to her page to look at her... and it's been like two hours already...

 

Congrats Lelei and maybe post in Q&A a preference for Amethyst eyes on yours. I posted a preference for brown with my order and got it.

Ok feels better now seems the one thing I wanted most from Kumi fullset isn't included anyway. A bow,cross bag& arrows is not included this package.

It never occurred to me to ask for a specific eye color, since most companies won't let you!! That's awesome that they do, I'm definitely going to post about it then~

And I know what you mean, I was so bummed they weren't including the arrow/bow set--it is SO cute. I wish I could buy that bag that matched her outfit at least, I think I'm going to make her a bow and some arrows, but if I make an arrow bag, it probably won't match very well... unless I can find that fabric somewhere... hmm... guess I have a good month ahead of me to hunt for some!

Good luck with that and the quiver doesn't have to match the outfit. Most Archer's don't completly match as well Kumi did for the promo pics.

Dang! That's kind of annoying that the bow and arrows aren't included. I know doll company pics do that all the time, but these were so expensive and I just thought they were part of the outfit. Oh well -- got me that time I guess!

By "cross bag" they mean the quiver, right?

I, too, loved the eyes Kumi was shown with, but I guess I'll just try to find some amethystish eyes somewhere else. Actually, it'll be really interesting trying different eyes and wigs with this blue skintone!

 

NO harp and no bow set? I didn't notice that was added did they add that later?

 

That's what I was wondering! I didn't see it before, and it's underlined, so it's kind of hard to miss. Maybe they were all sold by the time they added it!

 

They added it like... ten minutes before they went on sale, at least that's when I noticed it.

 

Oh wait; the quiver is attached to the sash thing that crosses over Kumi's chest. I noticed the lower pictures before (in which it is absent) but it didn't really occur to me exactly which things were different.

I do think it's kind of misleading, though, because that front part really changes the whole look of the outfit. Also, Pepe wasn't shown with anything extra, and for Roko it was only the harp.

 

yes.. it was a big thing added to Kumi's outfit they took away. It's interesting.. I mean they would at least have one to sell, right? :p

I was sooo tempted, but it just wasn't in my budget. Of course, I still keep hovering around the site just to see if any show up due to non-payments.

It helps that I have my lovely NS Kumi and Roko elves to keep me entertained! I resisted the lure of the misty blue by keeping my fingers busy knitting a sweater for my Roko.

The harp doesn't come with Roko either, but I wonder if Roko comes with that necklace, and Pepe with that feather earring? That would be nice~ Those sort of cute little details really do add to their uniqueness.

Why the &#¤%"#¤"#¤ do they first write this AFTER they have sold the dolls..
Now do they write that we WON'T get their weapons with them.. They can't do that when they have sold them to people believing that they will get the weapons >.<

 

I do agree that they should have stated the items would not come with her sooner than what they did.... and they should have taken care of at least some of the Q&As by now....

I hope they at least sell the extras on the side or people are going to be all

 

Well, they did put it up beforehand, as several people read it.

But naturally, we were all in too much of a rush to buy them to re-read the page. I agree though, I wish they had clarified that when they first updated the pages with pictures and info. I really doubt they did it with malicious intent...

I guess I wasn't *too* disappointed because I kind of figured they wouldn't be included to begin with. The fact that the mentioned, 'outfit', 'boots', and 'wig' being included, but never said anything like, 'prop' or 'toy' were kind of a signal to me not to get my hopes up.

I guess they just don't have a ton of experience with clarifying what's *not* included... they usually don't do fullsets, and sell nothing but a doll with eyes. They probably should've just kept the bow and harp pictures off the product pages to avoid confusion...

 

But.. *sniff* my weapons Dx I was only going to keep the clothes anyway.. and I thought it was sooo cute because of those little weapons... now do I almost not have any reason to get the doll.. lol ^^'

Oh well.. If anybody want a kumi then just pm me, then can I cancel my order in a time so you can grab her :3

 

As much as I like bambicronydolls I feel they've done this type of stunt before. They didn't update that kangbos came with the dolls and I ordered a full doll instead of a body only because i wanted the kangbo.

I think the momentary glitch of disappearing pages during the sale was when they must have switched the pages that stated the items were not part of the package.

The outfits themselves are not worth $165+difference since most don't even looked hemmed but at least it's part of the look. I guess the dolls do cost more and they wanted a certain price for it. Hence they sold it as fullsets

 

And now did I cancel my kumi so she'll get a better home xD

 

Oh my goodness!! I got a kumi! After waiting up until 3 in the morning trying to see if i could get one, I come on here and Katia was so kind as to cancel her order for me

I've just sent a PM off to someone asking if they'd like my Kumi, too. I do already have a tanned elf Kumi after all. And I do still love the outfit, but man, I'm so disappointed about it not coming with the other things. >_< I can just enjoy seeing my husband's Roko for my blue-skin fix!

Maybe a green elf Kumi is in my future or something.

 

Kurosakura: I hope when they come out with the Green Roko I can get it. I was about to buy the Kumi even though I couldn't budget for it for the neat accessories too. My talked to my husband and he's usually the voice of reason. He said I could make an outfit myself and the accesories. At least you still get the blue resin fix at your household.

I didn't read that the props weren't included until after the excitement on the sales. I figured I'd post what I read just in case someone else thought the same as I did. It seems a few did.

I'm still looking to buy a pair of the fairy/leaf style wings so if anyone wants to part with theirs send me a PM

 

Heh, I only just found this thread, after seeing Pepe yesterday I was so busy freaking out about whether I could afford him and when he was going on sale that I forgot to look for the discussion thread.

But with the wonderful help of Hitasura and Megami (THANKS GUYS!) for finding out the time and placing my order for me while I wasn't available... little Pepe is coming home!

I'm so excited!! I rarely do dolly impulse buys but the little guy just grabbed me! (Well, he's a guy for me, anyway. ) I can't WAIT till he comes home, I don't know how I will survive till March 12th!

hmm in my experience with BC.. they always seem to make more interesting dolls .. so for those who lost out on the blues, don't have the blues! They will have more interesting or just as interesting dolls in the future. I was thinking about gettign Kumi for her outfit, but I realised if the props don't come with her, than what I really wanted were her shoes, and then roko's. I think it's time they sold these types of outfits and shoes! on their site.

ANYWHO! I'm happy I didn't get her, because I'm REALLY perturbed they haven't answered ANY of their messages for 2 days now.

So does this mean they will set none limited sets of blue elf roko for the next month sounds like it. I hope the come with wing options I loved these insect like wings.
