I have a white Weeny on layaway.

I'd love to get Dreamy as well, or maybe her new doll Murphy.

Is the designer here on Den of Angels?
I could hardly find any info here about her dolls.

 

Gonna revive this thread because I'm going to get a mishi doll dreamy in a trade and I'm super excited!!!! I'm having a hard time finding measurements and such though. ):

 

@howtobreakaheart I have a Dreamy and she is wonderful!! She's absolutely tiny though - super slender arms. I don't have her with me in Europe right now, so I can't tell you any measurements though unfortunately :c

I also got an email from Sther this week telling me that my Murphy is on the way!! I was lucky and got the free make up option from Oh My Doll included, so I'm really excited to see what she looks like in person when she gets here. I bought some fabric today to make her a dress, but will probably have to wait a bit to start on that as again... no measurements to be found.

 

Oh yay! I was wondering if other people knew about Mishi's Doll! I wasn't sure if they were on topic or not! I have a Murphy in gray skin on lay-away and I am soooo excited!! Just three more payments! As for sizing, I was able to find her height, which is 38 cm and the following notes on her blogspot:

• Her slender body makes her wear Yo-sd clothing for the upper chest and Minefee or MSD clothing for the legs and hip.
• Uses 18mm eyes and the size of his shoes is 1/4

 

I don't think she has an account on DOA. I wonder if it would be okay to make a post in news on her behalf about the Murphy preorder? I just learned about her, but her dolls look so amazing, more people should learn about her, so she can get that extra support.

 

I figured that I would post the measurements for Dreamy here, since I have her with me now! In case anyone is wondering:

 

I wish she was still available
I asked the artist and they said they are working on a new version to hopefully have out by 2019 though.

 

Oh no, that's terrible news for my wallet I seriously have a self control problem when it comes to these dolls. I've had to physically tear myself away from sending the email to her both times Weeny was on pre-order...

 

Me too Q.Q the only upside being that none of the dolls that I have on my wish list at the moment are available...
I really want Hope... But there is a Dreamy in the marketplace and I am so so tempted by her...

 

I had such a hard time deciding in between Hope and Dreamy when I bought mine. They're both so lovely.
I also wanted to grab another Murphy this preorder but the reasonable side of me figured one was enough... Speaking of Murphy, should I make a thread in the Mini dolls discussion forum for her? I haven't seen too many of them around, but there isn't a thread.

I finally decided on a name/aesthetic/character for my Dreamy too I'm going to sketch up a concept this week hopefully and then post it here. She's basically going to be a little ray of sunshine - her name is Nendalee c:

 

The Murphy thread sounds like a good idea, I also feel like someone should make a thread in News about the preorder, but I've been too scared to.

I would love to see the sketch and what you do with your Dreamy your idea sounds adorable

 

Ahhh it was kind of nerve wracking but I made a post in News about it I really hope to see these dolls getting more love!

Also, I just checked and Murphy comes in at 38cm, so according to the forum descriptions, still a tiny?? So I guess we can discuss her here?

 

I guess so! I thought she was taller since everyone so far has been describing her as MSD sized. Pretty close though I suppose x3

I will I'm so excited, I'm not sure of a name for her yet but hopefully something will come to me when I have her with me. x3 I've been doing face-up mock-ups in a drawing program, they are not as good as some people make them, since I'm not good with the programs, but its giving me an idea of what I think I would like to do with her x3. Though its still winter, so I'm not sure I'll be able to do the face-up until spring or summer D:

 

Yeah, I'm waiting with a bunch of faceups right now too - the weather here has been super random this winter. I'd love to see your mock ups though if you're comfortable sharing! I hope to have mine done soon too

 

I almost preordered, but I'm trying to keep myself from buying dolls not on my wishlist. I'm in love with the tan skin, thought.

 

I have Murphy in tan!! I'm so glad I spent the extra money on it - I was going to hold back and get the white/pink but I ended up splurging.



She's still very much a work in progress...

 

She is beautiful! I would be a lot more tempted to get her if I could handle closer to MSD size better.

 

Thank you so much! I really love how she poses, her knee joints can lock somewhat and they are very aesthetically pleasing to me too. I can understand being better with certain sizes of dolls though. Dreamy is actually the smallest doll I have ^^;

I finally finished making her wig and eyes and am now just working on her dress and accessories

My Dreamy has been stuck in (What I'm assuming is) customs for a week now. I'm so nervous... I hope they release her soon...

 

Oh geez :/ that's really unfortunate. I hope you get her soon too! I've luckily never had any issues with customs with a doll (knock on wood...)

 

Dreamy arrived to me on Friday she is very sweet, but I'm having quite the difficult time with how floppy she is D: it looks like the first owner already hot glue sueded her. Maybe I should try restringing her at some point?

Mine definitely wasn't floppy, but yeah, for sure try restringing her if she's that loose. Since I hot glue sueded mine she's been a great little poser.

 

I've never restrung a doll before so I'm kind of terrified... I love how well she poses while sitting down though x3.

 

Adorable :3 She looks like she's lost in thought. Did you make the dress/top she's wearing?

 

The person I bought her from actually included it and a few other dresses, I think it's a monster high dress? I don't have a monster high doll so I'm not sure which size but it fits perfectly on her torso ^_^

 

Hmm... that is very interesting! I don't have any MH dolls either, but I might take a look through the toy store to see if I can find some things there that will fit then too

 

I made my Nendalee a wig yesterday, I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. I love the versatility of having 4 heads for dreamy...

I'm so excited! I finally finished paying off my own Murphy! She's on her way! Since some of you have received a doll from her before, do any of you have an estimate on about how long until the package arrives, if shipping from Spain to the US?

I'm not in the US, so I can't help you there. Within Europe, after sending, it usually took about a week. When I've personally sent things from Europe to North America, it has taken anywhere between 2-5 weeks

 

I got her in the gray skin! I'm sort of.... Homestuck trash, lol! I'm shelling a fantroll of mine! It's been a year, another couple of weeks won't kill me.... but I'm still going to obsessively check that tracker >>'

 

@CCKitty oh my goodness. I'm right in the trashbin with you. I'm so so so excited to see what you do with her!! I never thought of that possibility, but she would be such a cute troll in grey.

Update on my Dreamy - I finally finished her wig! I brushed gold glitter pigment into it and beaded it to match my Murphy's

Nice! I'm really excited to show her off. I even got custom eyes from GalaxyNook for her (it's so hard to fnd eyes with a yellow scelera)
That wig looks gorgeous!

 

She's adorable and that wig is amazing! I'm currently on the fence about whether or not I want to sell my Dreamy

I don't suppose anyone has more information on what kind of top they can wear size-wise? According to the site, a Murphy wears 'YoSD' in the top... so I got a little YoSD hoodie... which I def cannot get on her (not really sure how to remove her hands, but even if I did I don't think it'll fit her arms)

 

I've just been making my own clothes for her, so I don't think I can really help :/ To change/remove her hands, just pull them out a bit and slip them off the s-hook. But be careful and make sure to secure the hook in some way (a loop of ribbon, a tool of some kind, i've even seen people use buttons or charms) so that the elastic doesn't slip way back out of her arm.

If it won't fit the length of her arms anyway though... hmm :/

 

Thanks, I plan on making her something, too, but i had gotten this little hoodie for her in the meantime. And it's not length I'm worried about, so much as I think her arms might be too bulky -o-

I have seen these dolls in gray and it's a lovely color on them. I was tempted to buy them and then I saw the tan skin...amazing!

Mishi's dolls are adorable aren't they? I'd really love to get my hands on a Hally or a Dreamy. They're not very popular though, and therefore rare on the second hand market.

If it's grey, it could be a Dreamy, Hope, or a Murphy. I have a grey Murphy and I love her. Was it MSD sized? If so, that's a Murphy.

 

I can't find her now, she was up for a long time too. It was a Dreamy, with all 4 heads, with face ups.

 

You know, now that you mention it, I think I did see that Dreamy for sale, but it might have been on DOA here....

 

I checked and checked but she must have sold. If something comes up I will send it your way : )

That's very kind of you, but I just bought a doll, have a head on layaway and just put 2 DZ Scorpio's on layaway...I need to chill out for a bit 0.o

I am so new to this and there are so many beautiful dolls. I am trying to rein it in and then DC goes and discontinues a bunch, and I might need some of them in the future. So....

 

I'm so excited to see what she makes this time, although I've loved absolutely every sculpt so far, so I'm sure I'll be into this too.

I also am hoping to get a Hally or Weeny (...or both) at some point, but I'll have to see if that ever happens.

Sometimes I wish Mishi's Dolls were more popular. On one hand, it makes Elladore more unique as most people don't have a Murphy. On the other hand, it makes secondhand sales hard, so you have to either get lucky or hope for a preorder. It's a catch 22 I think.

I'm pretty sure that Murphy is my favourite sculpt in existence to date, and while I love my own girl and the uniqueness of her being limited as you mentioned, I'd love to see more customizations too. I think I've already followed everyone on instagram who has posted to the mishisdollmurphy tag

 

I'm trying to post more of my Murphy on Instagram as well. It's hard because I don't have clothes for her yet. Curse her adorable but hard to clothe body! I'm also worried that people will get tired of seeing her. I have other dolls, but none I want to photograph as much as her.

Also I totally think her new project is some kind of dragon. Kinda reminds me of the pico dragon from Aileen Doll.
