Your Jings look really awesome. I'm still waiting on mine.

I also still plan on going with the Doll Chateau adult body because that's the only body I can see this character on. While I save up for a Doll Chateau body, I think I will try him on the other bodies I already have just to see if they'll fit and if it ends up suiting him more than my first plan. Maybe he'll fit one of the bodies I already have.

 

Wow everyone's Jing heads are so lovely! I'm so excited to see what type of face ups they get. Good luck on all the hybridizing adventures.

 

@crappyshappyshaw thank you The body is nice, but the neck is short, so I've modded the neck hole to make the head sit higher and it looks a lot better. The hands are just as gorgeous irl as I hoped they'd be and they were pretty much the main reason I bought the body.Your Jing looks great on that body too, I'll look forward to seeing what you do with him.

@Luckyl The body is really nice, although as I said above, the neck is too short for Jing's big head. I've got to restring him as he's all kinds of kicky and twisty at present. The quality is a bit off in places, with dust trapped here and there and the shoulder blades have a different texture and colour to the rest of the body. All the issues though are fixable and the sculpting is lovely (although from the back he looks like he's got two sets of man baubles ).

I'll hopefully get some time to mess with him this evening and plan his face up and body blushing (I think I've got an idea pinned down now).

 

I've got to see that when you post some more shots of the body!

Here is a shot of my Jing on the Doll Chateau torso I have. I really like the way it looks, but am hesitating about going for a full DC body because of the cost. I need to wait and see how the face-up comes together and see if Jing is going to demand an entire body or be satisfied with just being a head on a torso for a while.

 

@Prince Monochrome Whoop! Guess a lot of people have ideas for DC and Jing hybrids. He just calls to the body, I guess

@beatnik I'm kind of interested in seeing there "man baubles" now I did notice that my head was quite dusty, some pieces not completely sanded off but no big deal.

@Luckyl The body I put mine on is a Ringdoll Grown 02 body. I think he looks pretty proportional, not too large or too small at all. Funny, since the Vic head looks wayyyy too pinheaded on it, but his neck is a little smaller and his head size just a touch smaller than Jing in general.
Really love how the resin match looks! That is DC's white, right? The molding on the neck is really pretty, too. Does it have the extra neck connector on, or is this without?

 

Yes, that is the DC white with the Miracle doll white. The torso has probably yellowed a little since it is a few years old, but does look really good with it. I picked up the torso used by itself without a neck connector in the marketplace. I just have the head stuck on with a wax ear plug for now. I would love to have the rest of the body to go with it, but seriously doubt I will be willing to pay 500.00 just for the body for this project. I really like the new 58 cm Dollzone girl body, but wish it was a bit taller, but may consider one if Jing decides I need to buy her a body.

 

@Luckyl The match is really nice~ You wanted to give Jing a girl body right? That'd be so neat to see once faceupped~ The new DZ bodies are so lovely

 

@Luckyl The head looks great on the female DC body. I'll be looking forward to seeing what you do decide on body wise.

I just got an email saying that my Jing head just shipped. I'm so excited. Now I just have to wait for him to arrive.

I got my Jing head in the mail yesterday. I'll post a picture of him eventually. Maybe after I get his faceup done.

 

I was going to sell my Jing due to issues I'm having with my hands (and his size being too much to handle), but I decided against it and he's now got his face up I'll be doing extensive work on his body too!

I finished my Jing girl concept too and am quite pleased with how she turned out. I had the most fun doing her face-up that I have had in a long time because of how interesting the sculpt is. I hope I did not overwork it, but I kept coming up with ideas I had to try. She is demanding a body now that the character has come to life!

 

@Prince Monochrome thank you! He was great to work on and I'm always drawn to the colour red with my face ups

I don't really do back stories, I just like pretty dolls. Before he arrived I was thinking spooky dr type personage would be my theme, but now he's going to be fully painted up and very decorative, just for aesthetic reasons. He's been a joy to mess around with but I'll admit I had a few goes at this face up before I settled on this one.

I'll keep an eye out for your girl! Have you decided on a body for her yet? If you want to see my head on a female body (impldoll SGB star), you can find me and some hybrid pictures over on instagram (I'm piygie over there).

 

Oh yes. I remember now that you don't do backstories. Oops! Thanks for the info on the Impldoll hybrid option. Jing's head almost looks small on that body for some reason. Maybe it is just the way the neck interfaces with the head, that neck hole is so small it probably cannot sit down further. It was interesting to see the different face-ups you tried on Jing! I liked your first one too, but think you captured something fresh and different with the red one.

 

@Luckyl I think the neck looks odd as I modded Jin's neck hole so it will sit higher on the MD body, so it's too high on the Impl body. The head looks too big to me on the impldoll body, but I'm used to seeing the tiny Vanessa head on there! The neck size on the impl body matches the MD body at 10.5cm so it must be my mod that makes it look off, but the Jing head has his own body so that's not much of an issue for me The Impl body is quite buxom too, so that could also contribute to the sizes looking strange!

The face up process had me a little stumped with this head. I was fairly set on something quite basic and clinical looking before he arrived, but that all changed when I saw him in person. I'm using William Morris for inspiration for the body painting so that's going to take a fair bit of time, but the colours will be in the same vein as his face up. I'll then be making him an outfit, so I anticipate spending a lot of time on this lovely doll!

 

I know what you are saying about being a little stumped by this head. I almost wiped the face-up I was working on a few times, but kept going and it turned out like I envisioned. Your William Morris idea sounds really interesting. It is cool when a doll inspires creativity. Jing has inspired me in that way also. I need to find her a body that will bring my demon temptress character together. I am going to actually put the head on a few bodies I have to see how it actually sits after hearing about your experience before going forward with a body though.

Oooh! I Chihuo! He's looking great, @No_comment . I'm loving all the new Jings too. My Vic is currently waiting for a new body- I'm not thrilled with the match of his current one.

 

I've done painting and blushing my Jing (he's called Jar). He has red painted details and blue blush with very fine veins (it's really hard to capture the details due to his size!

 

Jar came out really cool! That color scheme really worked out great for the body too! Can't wait to
show you my hybrid girl. Her body is supposed to arrive tomorrow.

 

I finally would like to introduce my Jing girl hybrid Hecate the Demon Queen. She is quite the diva and demanded a Soom Nephelin Body. I will be doing some more body blushing this weekend since she will be nude for a while. I have had a blast putting her together, now just need to find her a dress. Unfortunately, she requires a custom made gown, so it will be a while before she can model it.

 

@Luckyl she's beautiful! Jing is such a versatile sculpt. You've picked the perfect body for her, they look like they were meant to be together!

 

Thank you beatnik! Yes, I must say I am pleased with the Super gem body with the Jing head. My goal was to make Hecate a demon siren that is ultra feminine and I feel like the body achieves this. I know Jing is an unusual head and not for everyone, but I sure am enjoying mine.

So, I got my own Lestat head recently and had a question for the other Lestat owners -- what is the date on your certificates?

 

@Praesagium - I'd tell you but my Lestat's CoA seems to be missing in action. Almost 4 years and a house move later and I can't find the dang thing.

 

@BlitheFool, well shoot I bought my Lestat from a seller and ... well, let's just say I'm skeptical.

 

@Praesagium - Of his authenticity, you mean? The CoA's for Miracledoll are basically just postcards with dates on them. My other 2 boys have them. I wish I could figure out where Lestat's went off too. It's, literally, the only doll paperwork I'm missing. Totally baffling.

 

@BlitheFool, yeah What's funny about is it's completely different cardstock from my friend's MD certs and sightly smaller. The date on is 17 July 2013 and the seller said that's the release date, but someone else has a Lestat that arrived in January 2013.

 

@Praesagium : Hrm. It's possible they just weren't terribly consistent with CoAs when they were starting out? Lestat was one of the early sculpts. I know I received mine in October of 2013 but it's before I bothered photographing box openings so, of course, no photo of the CoA. Le sigh.

 

I bought my Lestat and Asael heads back when they were just released (I received them in August 2013), from Jeeryama (Dolls Singing) on Ebay, and I didn't get a certificate, each head came in that fancy black hard cardboard with a MiracleDoll logo, and was filled with that purple crepe paper shavings.

 

@Ivelia - Oh! Maybe that's why I can't find mine! I also got my Lestat for Jeeryama.

 

Aww, guys, I messed up I kinda-accidentally created a mockup of a Jing face that I really like... Sigh! I didn't know he was being discontinued! I've always loved him.

Hum, hum. I'll have to give it a think- I do actually know of a secondhand Jing head for sale-- which is ideal, since I'd want to hybridize.

In the meantime, Jing spam/enabling would be loved! Hecate, Jar, and all the others are looking great!

@Prince Monochrome (Sorry, I know your post was ages ago!) Did you ever end up trying some Jing hybrids with the bodies that you had? How'd that go?

Xila! Get the used one if you can! You won't regret it. I had a blast painting that head and plan to redo mine in the Spring to give her a softer face-up. Good luck to you in scoring one and keep us posted!

 

I haven't really gotten the chance to try out any hybrids with my Jing head yet but I could possibly try him on the bodies I already have. That'll be my next project for the week. I'll make sure to share them here even if it looks weird.

 

All right, I finally got verification that my Lestat head is fine. Phew! Now the hunt for a body begins. I'm not sure at all what aesthetic I want for him, since he was a complete impulse purchase.

 

I've zipped through the thread, and it doesn't look like anyone has shared a 1/3 Baiye? Anyone here have the 1/3 Baiye and, if so, could you share him? I recently received a 1/4 Baiye and, being smitten with his face, am getting tempted by big Baiye...

 

@Luckyl - I wish! Looks like the head is now sold Oh well, I'm happy someone else will be getting a Jing! Plus, it gives me an excuse to gather some Clover Singing stuff I want to order, or something :P

@Kimchi - Welcome! I have no idea what Miracle's wait times are, but it might be possible he's still too new to have owner pics? I don't know, don't quote me on that. I still remember when he came out-- but I also dropped off the face of this hobby for a little bit immediately afterwards, so I have no idea how long it's actually been. He sure is handsome though!!! I hope someone can help you!

 

I just bought a Baiye last night. So excited to get him!

 

Does anyone happen to have a NS-Y Miracledoll and a NS-Y Loongsoul to compare? I'm still shopping around for bodies and Loongsoul happened to catch my eye.

 

The closest match I ever found to Miracle Doll's NS was Crobidoll. I'm afraid I don't have a NS-Y Loongsoul, or I'd happily compare them. Doll Legend's NS-Y is a pretty good match for Miracle Doll. My Lestat has jointed hands from them.

 

*sigh* I'm so sorry, I haven't been able to upload any photos of hybrids with the Jing head. It's just so dark now when I get home that I can't take any decent photos.

 

Okay, I finally got some time to myself so I took some pictures of the Jing head on the four SD boy bodies I have. Sorry about the messy faceup. I started his faceup when I first got him but never got around to finishing him.

I'm putting these under spoilers because of dolly nudity and somewhat large images.

First off here's the Akagi Doll body. The body is in normal skin so the resin doesn't match. The head is a bit big for this body but it's not too bad.

Second, the Soul Doll double body. The resin for this body is white. The head and body have a pretty close resin match but the head does look a bit bobble-headed. I couldn't get the elastic through the head so the head is just resting on the neck.

Third, Ringdoll Teenager body. This body must be normal. I bought the doll second hand so I'm guessing there has to be some yellowing. I'm just not sure how much though. To me, the body looks too small for this head.

Fourth, the Blue Blood Doll (I think the body they use is from Jie Doll). This body suits the body a bit better than the Ringdoll teen body but the head is still a bit bobble-headed. The resin for this body is normal.

So overall, the bodies don't really fit the Jing head. They can work if you prefer to have the heads slightly bigger than usual. I think because the head is so large, something with wider shoulders might be more suitable.

No problem. I'm glad they were useful.

The Akagi Doll is the 66cm body, the Soul Doll is a little taller than 60cm and I think the other two are close to 60cm.

You're welcome. I was surprised at how big the head was when I first got him. The head is really tall compared to my other heads but that's probably because of the extra eyes.

 

Anyone know if Miracle doll and soom have similar resin colors for normal? I have a head and body in the mail being sent.

 

I have a tan Ruiying head on the way and would like to know if a tan ringdoll body would match?

 

@~carrot!, Ringdoll actually does resin matching! I'm getting a Ringdoll body for my Trista sometime next year.

 

@praesagium Okay thanks! I also happen to catch a glimpse at dollzones B60-005 body and would they do resin matching as well?

 

@Koyico - Soom's NS is super inconsistent. I have an old SG body that's not a bad match for Miracle Doll's NS but one of my newer bodies was super duper pink. It seems to be luck of the draw.

I don't know if anyone is interested, but I got a Miracle Doll Chihuo and I think he looks more like an adult version of Baiye to me than the adult Baiye sculpt for some reason...

 

Ahhh, It's happening!!! I just paid for his body... Ok, so maybe I should wait to say "It's happening!!!" Until I actually buy the Jing head, but whatever, the intent is there.

I planned for Jing to be a floating head for a while, but the exact body that I wanted just happened to be for sale at a great price... Even if I do get hit by customs (I hope I don't-- my first doll was twice the price and I had no problem! I really don't know how USA customs work!)

I forgot to mention it earlier-- It's an April Story NS17 Boy Body. It's NS, while I was aiming for WS-- but, like I said, great price. I'm OK with doing some blushing. This body is 66 cm, and has a bit more beef than the Akagi 66 cm that was posted earlier (an extra cm in shoulder width, greater general body circumferences, possibly longer legs? Thanks again, Prince Monochrome!) So I'm hoping the proportions will be ok!

Unfortunately, it's set to arrive at my house before I do (darn college finals).


@BlitheFool -- I'm inclined to agree, that does look like a perfect match! I used to be really into facial structures (and the genetics, aging, etc. aspects of it), and I thought there was something off about Adult Baiye (in comparison to Child Baiye), but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. The nose and face are too long, I think. The Chihuo is definitely spot-on, especially in the face shape and nose-to-eye ratio. And he grows into that cute big smile, aww
