Miracledoll Discussion Thread

So uh, I placed my order for my Vic on Friday Night/the wee hours of Saturday morning, and I'm really excited to hear back from the seller to make sure they got it. He doesn't have a solid name just yet, or anything, but I'm really happy that I ordered him. While I'm waiting, I'm going to look for a body. I was thinking of getting a Doll-Zone 72 cm White like my Doll-Zone (DZ Chen-1 White from 2009) Azrael. Seeing that the white kind of, well is, perfect for Doll-Cheateau I think that it'll be a perfect match.
I'm really excited, I don't know how to describe it, and reading this thread is really encouraging. :') Can't wait.

Congrats, Albel! DZ body should work great with a Vic head. I have my Lestat on a 72cm DZ body and I love the way he looks. Their heads are very close in size.

Thanks! I'm way excited! I just wish I had time and weather for faceups. Well, mostly time. I'll do my own heads in the cold...lol

 

Well I'm hoping for now that he'll share my Granada body. If he won't fit....I'm already body shopping, so hopefully he'll fit on one of the other 65cm bodies I'm eyeing XD

I almost wish I'd have ordered him in WS now. Then he would have only had to share with one head....

 

I wasn't even aware of it, but my Vic shipped a few days ago, and is already here. >u< I'm so happy with him.

Thanks! I sure will~! Right now he's blank, since I ordered him blank, and I'm going to take the photo I have of him into photoshop to see if I can make a good face up concept. Probably am going to bring him to the doll meet we're having here on the 20th, so I'll take more photos! He just looks a little weird without eyes-- I hadn't ordered any because I wasn't expecting him to come so soon, but it looks like I'm going to have to now. XD

My Lestat head arrived today!! Omg I love him. He's even better in person. And, best packaging ever lol - I've never gotten a head in it's own little bag before! I wish everyone did that.

Now to find eyes, wig....body. And someday get him a face.... D:

Well I have bad news. Lestat doesn't fit on the Granado 64 body. Which sucks...as now I have no body to put him on.
So, it looks like I need to figure out what bodies will work for these guys and start saving! I guess it's good I don't really have bodies for anyone else in his storyline XD

Still kind of sucks.

I have no idea...I don't think I realized they had bodies! Now I have to check that out...

I know you have on on Dollzone, so that's a possibility, though I want the 65cm one. I have a Soom SG on the way (in WS of course :P) that I can try it on. It's the new one...but I could probably get an older one for a good price. If I want to spend a fortune there's FL or Volks. But I have no idea if it'll fit. And now I'm worried about neck size since it needs to be smallish.

Though I could always mod the head a tad. I did that with my MD Mir and he looks great on his body...On the granado body it would have been more than a tad. The neck was WAY too big, and since I've got two Migi's sharing it I can't mod it at all (not that I would, I think it would look odd with a smaller neck).

 

I really like the DZ/Miracledoll combo but, yeah. Mine's on that super tall 72cm one they make. I actually had my Vic on an SG body (old) for a wee bit and then I ended up switching him to a Crobidoll body. I think it fit OK if I recall but the Leekeworld head I had looked nicer so they swapped. It's like Dr. Frankenstein's lab over here. Does DC have anything in a shorter SD size? 'Cause Genevieve's DC/Miracledoll hybrid is darn cool.

 

They do have a Youth body, I have it (it recently got a new head!) XD
It's not really what I want, I'd like him to have more weight to him. Plus, it's not really tall enough. Though it's much taller than they think lol
The neck really is thin and the shoulders are very narrow, I don't think it would fit.

 

Its been a long while since I've reported back about the wild mod project i had commissioned for my lestat head. Well the mod jobs are all complete now and he's currently awaiting a faceup from one of my fav faceup artists ^^ He's gonna be a real special child.
But sadly I never got to see his 'growth' phase aka see or touch him before shipping him out.
AND I have already sufficient money set aside to buy him a RS 60cm body!
Not sure if I should order the body before he arrives though..for he's gonna be stark naked :B

Oooh, yeah. That new Resinsoul body is really nice looking! I don't even have a doll that needs a body and I want one.

 

About 65cm. No taller....I'm done with the bigger guys. I just got one of the newer Soom SG boy bodies, he needs to be taller than everyone I get from now on lol. I'm really thinking Dollzone might be the way to go -- it's slender enough that I think the head will work on it. That and I can't really think of anything else to get for him XD

 

I like Dollzone bodies a lot. And they also seem to pop up on the MP often so that's another selling point.

 

Does anyone know how the resin match would be against a 5stardoll white skin body? I understand that 5stardoll bodies are semi transparent under certain lights which is perfect for my boy's character but I'm pretty worried about how it would like from the chest upwards..


Oh and btw did anyone notice the new sculpt miracle doll released?

 

Does anyone know where I can see owner pics of the new Miracledoll boy Ruiying? Saw him on ebay from jeeryama but have been looking everywhere for other pics but can't seem to find any. I love the white version of him and really tempted to get him.

 

Kuina- I hadn't seen him before you mentioned him. He's quite something! I'm afraid I haven't seen any photos of him outside of Jeeryama's website either.

 

So my Vic is almost done at the face up artist. All I have to do is pay for the work, and he'll be home soon~.
I was at a doll meet yesterday, and I fell in love with the Doll Family H 65 (or maybe it was 70?) 3-part torso body, so I think I might go with that for him ;u; The neck is 10.5 cm, but it fit Azrael (my DZ which has a 9 cm neck) just fine, so I don't think it would be too bad.
I can't wait to get him back so that I can have photos of him and his new face up though. ^^

 

Congrats, Albel! My Vic is on a Crobidoll body and they have a 10.5 neck. It's a little thick but it still works OK. You could always sand it if it bugged you?

Yeah, it didn't bother me too much with Azrael, but if it ends up doing so, sanding it shouldn't be a big hassle. . . I hope? XD

 

I got my Vic back today, and I'm so happy with his face up. ;u; He's perfect. I just need his eyes, wig, boy, and clothes now.

Are they, Blithe? I tried the 14s I had, and they were a tad too small. Maybe they are a bit off in size? I don't know, I was going to try 16mm next. I might have to take a pair out of one of my other doll's heads to see how 16 fits.

 

These are 14's from Mako eyes. I just double checked my order history to make sure I wasn't going bonkers. But everyone has different preferences on how they like doll eyes to look. I don't have any gapping though?

 

Okay, yeah, Mine has gaping in both eyes, that's why I'm not sure if I need to size up or just get a different brand since these were random glass eyes I grabbed pretty cheaply. ^^;

 

I'd tried 12's on him first and that was gap city but he had brown and white 14's in before and those fit fine as well. I guess brand-to-brand might have some variation.

 

I'm looking at it again in his head, and I think its just the dome of the iris/Pupil, actually, making it gapy when close-up.
I took some photos. The blue/silver glass eye is 16mm, that I stole from poor Razar. The white is 14mm. I couldn't get too close because the camera refused to focus, but it looks like its the dome that's creating the gap, like I said, because it looks fine straight-on.

 

Ahh. Yeah, the Mako eyes I have are super low dome. that does make a difference.

 

Yeah, I might go with some low-dome 14mm then. At least I figured out what the problem was. Haha.

kuina, I second that, he's gorgeous! I only discovered him recently and have been visiting his sales page a few times each day since... *sigh*.

 

Just a heads up! Miracledoll actually has a shop on taobao in which they also sell some of the outfits and even the new boy's deer crown separately! (Such a tempting prop indeed *.*)
And they actually have a few yosds and an msd as well!
Miracledoll honestly deserves way more love for the beautiful sculpts they have!

Hurray! I managed to get hold of Ruiying's beautiful outfit and crown via jeeryama on ebay, now all that's missing is the actual doll . Going to have to wait till April for shipping, enough time to make up my mind about at least, his head (though Miracledoll bodies are also among the ones that appeal to me most)....

Regarding the owner pics of the body: Me too. So very sorry I can't help you out here, but bumping this in the hopes of reaching out to someone who will.

 

Same on that Miracledoll Body. I did line up a Group order though, where I will be getting my boy a Ringdoll Body, and when that comes I'll post pics of what it looks like.

 

Albel- that's neat about the Ringdoll body! I like their body sculpting a lot. Please share some photos when it comes in!

 

Blithe - Thanks! I will be taking pictures as soon as it gets here, don't you know it! I'll also compare him to my other SD boys too, I think. Considering most of my collection is big boys. XP Until then, I'll just sit and wait and stare in awe of the body photos.

 

So after approximately 4-5months of waiting for his mod works and faceup to be complete, my lestat head is finally on its way home! He even has his body, clothes, wig & eyes all ready for him! Only think left would be to work on his props and plop his head on! Can't wait to spam photos of him ^^

Me too! I've never even seen the sculpt in person before and he already has undergone much changes. I hope he arrives by next week^^

 

About the outfit and headpiece I ordered, it came a few days ago. It's Ruiying's outfit (normal edition) and is very well-made, I'm so glad I got it! At first I was startled, because it was huge, but I guess it's meant to be worn loosely so it's okay. And the antlers/deer headpiece arrived unharmed and the quality looks nice, too. I'm just a bit sad Ruiying himself wasn't in the package but I hope I will see owner pictures here. Same goes for Lestat, I like him a lot!

 

These sculpts look interesting. I like the Liz head but I think I wanna put it on a immature boy body (or jump off the deep end and do a FtM mod).
