Hybrids Miracle Doll on Resinsoulsoul

    1. EDIT: I realize now there are more issues with the fit I was planning on than what I thought. I will be pursuing a different option now.

      Does anyone have a Jing Five Eye (Romantic Version) head and a Resinsoul 68cm girl body and would be willing to test the fit for me? I’m trying to put together a custom doll with a Jing head but his heads neck circumference is 10cm and the Resinsoul big girls necks are only 9cm. I’ve read that I could probably get away with a 1/2cm difference but a whole cm is pushing it. I really want to be able to order the custom body from Resinsoul for the body, but if the head and neck aren’t going to look right, I’ll have to explore other options.

    2. I don't have either of those but know that Resinsoul can do custom mod orders. Wouldn't hurt to ask if they could possibly make a custom body with a slightly thicker neck. Can even order a custom resin color to match the head too if needed.

    3. I contacted Resinsoul about the custom already and notified them of the neck circumference concerns I have for the existing head that I want to hybrid. Sun responded that the neck measurement for their 68cm female body is 9cm, so I assume that unfortunately there’s no way for them to change that.

    4. Always remember that it's not just the neck size that matter, but the ratio of head size to shoulder width too. My Zaoll Luv for example fits on 9cm necks, but has a 18cm head circumference (small for SDs), while a Soom Supergem Dia with a 10cm neck has a 22cm head circumference (big for SD). Luv fits great on bodies with slim shoulders widths (up to 12.5cm), where Dia would look ridicoulous (very) - Dia needs at least 14cm shoulder width to look okay/kinda realistic.

      The Resinsoul bodies unfortunately all have rather slim shoulders :/ The body Jing originally is sold on has 14cm shoulders too, while the 68cm Resinsoul girl bodies have shoulder sizes between 10 and 11cm :|

    5. Ah, you’re right! :doh Thank you. I’m brand new to the hobby and I didn’t even think about the shoulder proportions. I was too focused on the neck fitting. This definitely makes my decision for me. I appreciate you!

    6. Oh, my, 9 cm? He's a skinny fella. That's a hard size to find.
      The companies I can think of with similar proportions are Dream Valley's 71 cm boy body with 9 cm neck, but 13 cm shoulders. Also, $480. DV bodies tend to run on the slight side too; i.e., not very muscular.
      Angel of Dream's 62 cm boy body has a 9 cm neck, 13 cm shoulders, and also minimally muscular - but he's only $200, and AoD is FAST.

      The only other company I can think of with those kinds of measurements is Doll Chateau, and their 72 cm A-body-03 is highly stylized; i.e., not realistic - but the neck is 8.5 cm and the shoulders are 14 cm. They're currently running a special, but at $475, they're still on the more expensive side.

    7. Oh, no, Jing’s neck circumference is 10cm. I was hoping to get a customized female body that would accommodate that but Resinsoul’s girls are 9cm at the biggest. But as someone else pointed out I have to worry about shoulder width too. I’ve decided to go a different route and not use Resinsoul.
