I too have thought that it urethane eyes. Don't prompt still what good companies which sale out high quality urethane eyes?. I know Dollshe, now here gumdrops, and dollflower (But to get them probably it is impossible, and they such beautiful) ..

I'm strugling with my ws Juri08, dunno what to do with the paleness, but Um, my Marcia-boy was glad to cheer me up by being adorable and a good poser for picts.
I love all of your minifees, I would love to see more Eliyas, it's such a pretty mold. ;w;

 

I wasn't sure, originally, how I'd feel about my Juri '08 being a WS, but that was the only one I could find...especially with my previous track record with WS dolls and I just not clicking.

However, I can honestly tell you that I can't imagine her being any other way now, so...

...but if you end up not bonding with her as you wanted, I'm sure there's someone out there who'd love to give her a good home!

Here's my new MNF Juri 2010 "Kissy Face" This wig is only temporary as hers hasn't arrived yet, and I didn't have a good camera on hand so I apologize for the bad quality photo, but I just couldn't wait to show her off! Her name is Briar, and she is my 1st minifee.

 

I think Marcia's sneaked her way onto my want list.

 

I don't have any Rheia or Luka spam but someone asked to see more Eliya.



I tried a different wig on my Eliya and it ended up giving her a very different appearance and personality.

 

cholland1230, I think that pink wig looks great on her - especially considering her pink face up!

 

I like it on her too, but it's just hanging there. If she didn't have that velcro on her headcap it would slide right off, haha. Maybe if I was more skilled with a needle and thread I could take it in, but I'd probably end up sewing my fingers together.

 

She's such a cutie!! I like this wig best on her!! It brings out her eyes (is that the default faceup?) and adds to her overall look because of the short pixie-like cut.

 

@Sienimies: I personally love whiteskin dolls >> (owns 7 from varying companies) And I personally don't think it's so much that the skin tone makes them hard to photograph or the sculpt. I think it has to do with lighting. I have never found a doll difficult to photograph without tweaking my lighting first. You just need to play around with it for a little. Try angling your doll differently then you normally would. There's a lot of factors that really go into it that are easy to figure out, it's just a matter of which way you set them up

And how about some older Tain (WS) spam just 'cause I went on a WS love rant xD

Honestly, you all need to just stop it with the Eliyas already! Like I need another MNF! This sculpt is really growing on me. She's just so cute >.<

Awesome pic Alogue. I have to agree with all the lighting suggestions. I never found white skin to be anymore difficult than any other skin to photograph. You just have to be willing to adjust your lighting for each different doll. I find I'm always changing lighting from doll to doll and the biggest reason tends to be because I'm trying to light their eyes well. And different eyes colours/companies mean constant lighting changes.

In other news, I just sold Willow I'm still getting used to not having her but in the long run it will be best. I know she's going to a great home so that's good. I just couldn't bear to wipe her face, she was too damn cute. Will have to order me up a blank Willow Mark III soon!

 

Well he is a bit yellowed compared to his sister, which makes him a smidge easier to get the right lighting for. My only issue is that i need to watch with him 'cause sometimes he can come out TOO yellow (like the pic above) But I dislike fiddling around in Photoshop too much.

I do the same thing! Eyes are important for me, 'cause I dont want their eyes to look like big black holes xD!

I don't think WS doll are hard to photograph -on their own-. I think it is harder to photograph when you put them next to a doll with a different skin tone. Then it can be a bit hard to not overexpose the WS and underexpose the other skin tone.

Thanks xhanthi! I really like the pink color on her as well, and if I could find it in a smaller size I might consider it for her. But she has a really cute blonde curly wig coming in that actually fits her head, haha.

Alogue, my problem aint the photographing, it's more like thinking about the doll as a person with extremely pale skin.. My Miyu is ws, and it suits her since the character is a hikikomori, she doesn't leave home and hates sun. My Juri is supposed to be a happy person, selling icecream in summer and somehow the paleness makes her seem like... Sad. D: Maybe i'm just picky, or weird, but yeah.. I will get her a new makeup, and probably own body, maybe i'll bond with her than. Juri is a beautiful and quite rare mold !

Her faceup was done by *Meee* here on DoA. The photo really does not do her faceup justice. Once I get my sister to take a nice picture with her digital SLR camera I'll post something better.

I was going to put up a thread but ended up wigging out and buying a DES instead o.O So new dolly in a few days lol. Though I don't want the head, just the body for Wendy.

Eyes are so important! I know exactly what you mean about crud lighting giving them big black holes for eyes. I hate when that happens! I have two lights, I'd like to have at least one more, but with two I can be sure to bounce some light into those peepers.

Somebody can prompt where it is possible to buy good footwear for boys? Minifee girls and boys of a foot of one size, and the majority of footwear which comes across to me on msd approaches on girls more. And on boys the big. Why that all manufacturers think that at boys the foot should be more. In the theory and should be, but here fairyland of it why that haven't thought, and have made one foot of one size on the boy and the girl

First let me say - this is NOT Shadow's daughter ... that said, my 3yr old wanted my doll to hold HER doll like a baby. I thought it was a cute idea and I'm sharing the result in case anyone needs an 'awwwww' moment

xhanthi: Its funny, sometimes when you see sculpts you thought you werent interested in in person, you end up liking them a lot more...I ended up getting a chance to see a sculpt a while back due to a company mixup (not fl XD) i ended up really liking him, when i didn't like the mold at all before. You certainly might be surprised =]

Kokoro-chan: Minifee! Well. The newer kid delf body poses better than the minifee b-line, but a-line is better than kdf. I personally love both bodies though, they're really nice in their own ways =]
