Minifee MNF Discussion thread Part 9

I LIKE that sweater and I don't have an issues with exposing joints. I find it rather carefree and a bit wild when my dolls do that. October is sitting next to me right now with her top sliding down her one shoulder and Autumn has both exposed due to a wide neckline.

I love that jacket on Kirk! I can see why your fingers were frozen though.

Yay, woosoo and marcia spam! Haha, Marcia just clicked for me one day. I was looking at the company pics, and one of them just caught me and I sat there staring at it for five minutes, and suddenly Marcia was just beautiful! I never knew marcia had such an awesome profile, though. >w< I love that nose!

As for exposed shoulders, I don't actually have any shirts that do that for Fi. :/ She's always got her shoulders covered, but I keep meaning to sew her a loose top with a wide neck...I like that look for dolls. ^^

Yeah, dolls sure inspire use to work on our photography skills. The only reason I'm as good as I am now is because of my guys. They always make me wanna try new things...but on the downside, it makes me really want an SLR camera...something I'll probably never be able to afford

Thanks! I got it off Dollmore. It's actually way to big on him (I need to get around to modding it at some point) but camera angles and posing have helped to hide that fact And yeah, fingers were really cold...are really cold today too. Everything here is pretty much shut down as there was a huge snow fall last night. Classes up at the schools have all been cancelled...not that it matters to me as I didn't have classes today anyways why couldn't the snow day happen tomorrow when I could actually get something out of it?

Why thank you very much On the exposed shoulder thing, I've never really had to worry about it. I don't actually have any clothing for Rose that has them...but in saying that, I did make her a Christmas outfit that was strapless...so yeah, the joints don't really bother me. She's a doll, therefore I know she's gonna have joints. The only joints that kinda bother me are single jointed ones cause if you do any bending with them the wrong way, it looks kinda wrong. But that's why I love FL dolls so much

Shhhh don't tempt me! I want a Luka really bad, but I already have Nyne (Ryeon) on layaway, and with Eutheria, the event head needing a body at some point too I can't get a Luka, well, not quite yet anyway. But he is such a pretty sculpt!

Interesting! I got a FL wig for the Littlefee and they don't give size but it never ocured to me to try to swap them with the Minifee.

I got a couch off the marketplace and it arrived today.. I'm excited. I am planning to add some legs to it.. eventually maybe recover it, but for now, it's good. No minifees (or other msds) to put on it, but the littlefee and pukifee and smaller looks really cute on it....

I've been pretty luck so far, in not having to wait too long for most of my dolls... But yeah, can totally understand wanting to find them on the MP. I've been watching, but I think I'm being picky about bust size and let type. I've been eying mnf for a long time... but kept telling myself they were too big - plus the first doll I had was msd size - though her posing was horrid.. and honestly, I don't think any of the companies have as cute as dolls as fairyland (at least not all around the table, yk?).

Yes, me too. I want cutie bust & legs, but all the Chloes for sale are from the full package. :/ Ltf are just a teeny bit small for me, so I think mnf will be a good size. Easier to sew for. And yes, FL is definitely the best doll company!!!

I did the same thing and have a few that I liked. My girls and their wigs. Autumn decided she's a blonde. *sigh* Wouldn't be so bad, but those are Ember's hairs. Now I need a duplicate wig. Geez.

 

I have a lot of the same problems. His right leg seems longer than the left, he was hard to stand up when he came -- he was strung super-tight -- and with restringing (probably too loose now) plus some hot glue he still has those problems. His right leg loves to collapse, and his torso goes all over the place. I'm going to try restringing again and more hot glue, but I'm finding him a serious pain to deal with. It's nice that he can flop into some sexy poses, but I'd rather have him able to stand up straight.

Sylvin - but she looks so goooood in that wig! the antique gold/blond underneath really compliments her eyes in the photo thanks about the boots but you wouldn't be that impressed in person. they're from my youngest's 18" doll that she never liked - I modded the pants and boots to fit Shadow. they're good for pics only. still waiting for proper shoes for her - I've got two orders on their way to me.
webbedcow - I know what you mean about the LTFs being too small. I loved my LTFs when compared to my PKF but they all got pushed aside when my MNF arrived. She's just perfect for me - she bigger without being too big/heavy or awkward to bring somewhere and I really like the maturity of these girls over the little ones.

And I forgot to comment - I agree, that is one pretty Shushu up there !

LOL! I know. I think it is now hers. Ember is NOT happy but maybe I'll get her a wig in all one color blonde. This one is a bit older in my opinion since it looks like someone would have spent a fortune having the highlights/lowlights done at a salon. So Autumn wins. We've been doing a lot of wig switching about here in the past couple of days.

Ah, okay about the boots. I would never have known though. They look cool in the photos.

I'm currently uploading pictures while Elwing warms up to the newcomer (she's not happy the newbie stole one of her wigs temporarily). I'm also fighting with the fullset wig to see if I can get it to where I like it.

lol i love all the pics in that photostory, they turned out pretty good hehehe waiting ticks by so slow! i try not to think about it but then i find myself extremely impatient for a layaway to get done with... not sure how anybody can stand doing layaways, they drive me nuts lol

for bulk uploading (photostories, obviously) i use the Flock browser, which not only lets you just drag a bunch of pics to upload, but it also lets you drag/drop each pic into wherever your posting (like this text box, for example) and it produces the codes for you. i prefer the old version without all the updates though because it runs a lot smoother/faster (i use version 0.7.14 lol while the download on their website is 3.5.0). the biggest bonus is that it's a ton faster than uploading on photobucket's website (important for me because my internet sucks bauls).

My Shushu, Leora finally came home from DDE about a week ago. I'm commissioning her proper outfit, so she is borrowing everyone else's clothes at the moment.

I wasn't expecting it to fit, since Rosettes are so lanky! (I suppose itdoes mean if I can't get used to the Rosette body I can rehome her and keep the outfit.

YES! I was so hoping that outfit would fit my minifees. She looks great!

 

The only thing that wouldn't fit were the boots, but just barely.

 

Was finally able to get everyone unpacked today! I moved a month ago and it took a while to get a place that was secure from the cat and sunlight set up. It is so nice to be able to see everyone again! So in honor of this momentous event, here's some old spam of both the mnf.
