Minifee MNF Discussion thread Part 7

My rheia her head measures at a little less than 7" around and only a little more that 4" across the top. Jacks can fit a 7-8 in a gold label wig (its a touch loose). Truth is I am having your same dilema, as I want to get her an alternate wig (the one she has is from fairyland and fits her perfectly). 7-8 isnt huge so I may go with 7-8 because I prefer a touch loose to, too tight.

I dont know if this is helpful, but I hope it is.

 

My rheia has 2 6-7 inch wings, one from Jpop dolls and one from leeke world, they both fit her well. ^-^

 

I actually bought a 7-8 wig for Kirk a while back...but couldn't get the mohair short enough so he's back to his Dollmore one. It was a great fit though even if it was wrong for his character.

Nikki, Jacks is gorgeous. She makes me want another Rheia I love the 'pale and interesting' look that my Sveta has going on, but I love how Rheia can rock the dark and sultry look too.

Kittywolf13- Ah thank you. Yeah for some reason I forgot about the gloss @_@ That makes sense. Also, I hadn't thought of covering everything but the eyelids. That might work well~ I'd probably use like cellophane or something so it can stick but not be adhesive. Then I probably would re-add gloss to the eyelids if I felt it necessary.

I straightened Tobias' wig in my boredness last night and I must say that I'm so happy with how it turned out. I still need to fix one part of it that's still flipping a bit slightly, but it turned out nice compared to how crazy flippy it was before.



And that is not a heat resistant wig X_x so it was kind of annoying...

 

My MNF body will be coming in soooon! But since the body goes to a non MNF head I'll just spam the body and that's all you get. I plan to do mani-pedi and body blushing so I'll get those up once they're done.

Hehe, thank you. I use grommets for lacing in the back. You could use something like the loopy material that I have in the front if you wanted to make a false corset but you would have to make sure that the corset actually fit her so that way you wouldn't rip out the stitches.

I like how the black and white stripes show off you DES's pretty WS color. ^^

Thanks I love his jacket too. Unfortunetly somehow a tear started to develop behind his left sleeve, which made me sad , but I got the jacket from Brennil and Karla has been wonderful enough that she's gonna either try and fix it for me or make me a new one...I'm thinking I'm gonna have to do something very nice for her when I order from her again

Hey guys, do any of you use Enchanted doll eyes on your MNFs? I find them really pretty and I'm planning on getting a pair when I have my doll. I'm confused about the low and high dome thingy. Pictures would be awesome, too.

 

Hi everyone! I have a weird question. I'm gonna be getting a Seorin boy sometime in the near future, and I want to give him a sister, preferably a MNF girl. If you don't mind me asking, which MNF molds do you think look somewhat like Seorin? Thank yooou! :'D

 

I would mask off areas you don't want to change with blue artist's tape. It sticks tight but peels off easily (as long as what's underneath is sealed!)

 

I think that Ryeon would be the best for a Seorin's sister. I think that their mouth and eye shape are similar enough to pull it off. Look at the blank head shots that they have on the Fairyland website. A good face-up could make two very different molds seem like siblings.

You could always make a Luka girl. It think there are some similarities between Luka and Seorin.

wystearya: I agree with IngieBee. If I can pay all at once (even if I can't get over 600) I might use Fairyland. I bought Tay directly from Fairyland, along with my puki Poppy. But all three of my LTFs have been bought from DDE because I couldn't afford to pay for the whole thing at once. So much more convenient. I haven't had a bad experience with them.

 

-grumbles- I could use some cheer up spam. I'm STILL waiting for my Eliya head =3= and I'm in a bit of a sourpuss mood because of it.

I'm trying to get her to pose with her knees half-bent, but her legs kick back. She poses just fine straight-legged and sitting in all sorts of poses with her knees totally bent, it's just that halfway bit doesn't stay :\

Ryeon and Seorin were released at the same time and have similar fullsets, so I think they're supposed to be siblings?

Just gunna get this out there- I switched my two-years-old-this-month WS B&G Sharon's head on my 2005 NS Chiwoo's bodies...
I am NOT pleased. I was doing this just to see how the MNF neck fits with my B&G As I've been wanting to get him a WS MNF A-line Body.

My yellowed NORMAL SKIN body matches his WHITE SKIN resin pretty well :/ Not so much for Jason on the B&G WS body. Not happy, but here's some chiwoo spams, on their switched bodies:

hey everyone!! i haven't been on here for like 3 months...its time to start buying for my dolly agian! (i dont even remember if i ever thought of a name for her....AHH!)

 

Yeah, if I can't find what I want in the markeplace, I'll just order direct. Less hassle is a good thing.

plasticnoodles- Hmm. I might look into that. I'd just be afraid that the adhesive would peel off the sealant or the faceup. Where would you get the blue artist paint? Could I get it in the paint department in a home-improvement store, or would I have to go to an art supply store?

& Also for direct/indirect; Not that any of my dolls are actually -from- their company, if I can't find what I want on the MP I would just prefer ordering straight from and cutting the middle man out completely. If there's any issue with anything whatsoever, there's no "Oh well it's so and so's fault, not mine", it's just, "Okay this is how we can fix it". And like Kittywolf13 said, if it's shipping your worried about, I'd prefer to pay a few bucks more; because in the time it could take your doll to get from the company to the distributor, it could be at your house instead of you waiting on the distributor to ship it out.

 

Since we were on the subject of erasers before, mine came in today! They're so awesome! (The super tiny things are for my puki!)

Most hardware stores will have it, too, but definitely an art supply store. Regular masking tape could work in a pinch but I find that the blue 'lets go' easier when you're done.
