DanceCat, On your pc, download AVG virus protection and Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware. They're both free, and you should scan with them (after updating) once a week. It's pretty easy to do. Also, if you use Mozilla Firefox instead of Internet Explorer, it's much safer. It'll protect your computer pretty much all the way.

So for on topic stuff, madie, I totally understand. I keep staring at the extra hands, trying to decide which ones to get. Does anyone have the extra hands? Which ones are most useful?

Congrats, superamy7, on the brennil clothes! I want to get some but am seriously afraid that my daughter will make me share,and then not only will my doll still not have nice clothes, but then she'll leave 'em on the table and the dog will get them and then they'll be toast (shivers) I'm making everything in pairs as it is (except the frilly dresses, I don't want any frilly dresses, they're only for my daughter's doll! LOL)

RE your faceup, I like it too, you did a great job. What I do is leave it on for a while, to enjoy the doll, then when I have the energy to dive in again, I give it another go. It's great 'cause you get better with every faceup, but you don't want to have no "finished" time with her, that gets depressing :P

haha true, I was really glad someone had a girl mnf. Its hard to pose them with clothes on though... *sounds pervy* but I can't really strip someone else's doll just to pose her lol Oh well, only a few more weeks!

 

Thank you IngieBee! He's getting some wig work done as is my El so they can look a little bit more like themselves. Next time I get a chance I hope to barrow someones MNF body and get some pictures of the boys together O.O How amazing that would be *swoon* lol!

Woe, Torren, I'm not up on iceskating and I've never seen anyone do a stunt like that before! Wow! Yah, I was actually quite surprised that the lower torso joint did so little! It makes me wonder again if I'm missing something, like a couple of days ago when you did the torso vid (it was you, no?) I had no idea you could push the back that far back and hook it on the 'shelf'

 

ingie: augh, i hate the lower torso joint doing nothing! all it does is turn a little >< I hate that about my delf boy, too. Drives me NUTS. Andyeah, that was my vid ^^ That freaking little shelfy thing in the front is so annoying XD Sometimes it works fr me, but usually it just snaps down, which is one of the reasons that crazy pose wasnt working, too.

re skating: Not to that folded over extent, but thats a pretty common (almost necessary ><;; ) spin postion for girls in upper levels. For better or worse, i've reached a point where i'm too old for the sport and i'm not getting any better (if anything, worse. whoops *fail* ), so i'm pretty resigned to the idea that i'm never gonna be able to do that XD;

I would just like to say that, to my incredibly amusement, my boy refuses to do the sobriety test pose!
Granted I've been trying on my bed but he tends to stand better there then anywhere else I've ever placed that body down.
However I have so far managed standing on my ankle, the bed and my thigh and some random standing perfectly on the bed while I grabbed the camera. And fell when I got back in bed but of course not out.
I think it's spite for sharing a body XD

Thank you all for the information about MiniFees and Luts. I think some of the Luts heads are so cute. I am thoroughly enjoying little Rene-Marie. She poses so great and I love her knees and hands. She was not bad to sand either. Just wish she came in SD size. Oh well.....

Here is Rene-Marie in a pair of silk pajamas that I made the pattern for. I designed the pattern for Ellowyne and was so surprised how well she fits it. So I guess those that do not sew can purchase Ellowyne stuff for her.

I am in the process of charting up another sweater just for her. But she is third in line for completion. "So many dolls, so little time!"

Next time you see Breezy, you should encourage her to go for the $1500 everything prize at Fairyland. That way I can "help" her reach the goal by getting a Lishe boy along with my little Bisou.

 

I am very unhappy. After fighting with Fairyland over my flawed a-line body issues, they're still trying to say it's not possible for anything to be wrong. And, they won't accept any of the evidence I've been gathering (videos, photos, testimony, etc) to show that my body alone is flawed, not the design of the body itself.

My only option would have been to send back my whole doll and wait 3 months for another one. So I decided to just keep the one I have and down the line try to fix her myself. -__-

So...as much as I love minifee, I think I'll just keep my business to the secondhand market if I ever want another one.

I'm so sorry that they refuse to believe you. It looks clear to me that your doll has something wrong. I do believe that FF should have done something more to remedy the situation. I remember DDE rectifying a similar situation.

I would not keep a defective product, even if it means I have to wait for a replacement.

 

Mekou: Oh no D= Thats so werid, FL usually has such amazing customer service, i wonder why they're being so odd about this? Its such a rare problem too, it makes no sense why they wouldnt fix it.

Although, it DOES make sense that they'd only be able to be sure it was messed up and only be able to send you a new one if you send the one you have back. It wouldnt really be right of them to swipe a body from someone elses order, either. even if it was their mistake it wouldnt be right for them to make someone else wait longer ><;

Company mistakes happen, and sometimes they're easier to clear up than others. I know the feeling of having to ship a whole doll back to a company cause they mixed something up ^^;; (Me opening my luts box: Hmm, this doesnt look like a bory......Hodoo? huh? ^^;; )


(Sudden non-mnf realization: said Bory, Bell, is exactly two years old today. And i'd forgotten till just now XD; )

 

Mekou: Did you buy from FL directly or an agent? I should remember but can't seem to... I personally would probably send the doll back in hopes they'd see the problem in person, but shipping is expensive, so it'd be rough to have to shell out more money and then wait three months to top that...

 

D: I think the problem is that I'm really attached to my shushu, and even if I could at least keep the head I'd be more inclined to consider sending the body back. But they want everything, head and body. (And also I had a face-up slot for this month. D: And the head has already been sent, because I'd expecting at the most to just send the body.)

And if the yhad been more friendly towards the situation from the beginning then maybe I'd be more comfortable sending her back and waiting. But after they way they'be been trying to disprove my claims, I just don't feel right about it.

It's a shame they decided to handle the situation like they did. I understand their POV, but they didn't even try to understand mine. x___x

And it's not like the issue can't be fixed with a bit of epoxy or something. *shrug* XC

 

Yeah that really sucks! Do you know any other MNF owners? I wonder if someone would be willing to let you try a smaller breast part on your body?

I don't know... I guess I'm drawing for straws now. It just seems like such a discouraging and expensive experience.

If you are able to fix with epoxy or something, I would love to see the results. Good luck with it all.

Anyone know where to find nice knee height brown or black boots? They really need to look masculine... Robert needs his military boots. I've been able to find pretty girly ones, and I've been able to find larger ones, but nothing small enough for MNF.

 

Sparrow hmm have you tried the MP? Military-ish boots are hard to find with the majority of boots being heavily chained and such.

 

Sparrow: have you tried mint on card? The boots they have are pretty nice, though i dont know how military-ish they are. I love 'em though XD

*heaves a sigh* I opted not to bring anybody larger than my pukis with me on this trip, and I'm really missing Liam, and Irina's floating head (that'd be my Shushu)--I can has spam please?

 

I'm missing my Shushu too. I don't get to see her till I get back to my dorm at around midnight tonight (originally I was supposed to get back before six, but then my ride got caught at her work and now we can't leave till ten, and it's a two hour trip...)

 

Well...I'm thinking I've figured out a solution to my lack of body issue. I had considered buying a whole MNF, but I'm honestly not willing to wait another 3-4 months.

So, it's going to cost me quite a bit more, but there's one in the UK that I'm working on getting.

And, to be honest, the money's more than worth the lack of waiting. I'm tired of my Irina being a floater!

dollswest, OMG, silk PJ's! They're great! You're killing me with your talent, I'm sitting here trying to sew... and Ugh!

The only thing I can think of trying that shouldn't harm the doll if it's not painted (take the head off) is to hit it with a hot blowdryer for a while and see if the parts reshape themselves (resin has a memory of the mold, and if it was warped, will go back to it's original shape when heated) If the problem is that the parts were warped for some reason (heat n pressure while waiting to be assembled or taken out of the mold prematurely and while still soft) it should fix the problem. It certainly shouldn't hurt it if you're not forcing a new position, like when people heat resin to change finger positions) when you do that, it will fatigue the resin, but you'd only be gently returning to it's original shape so there shouldn't be any harm in it at all.

But I agree, there does seem to be something wrong with it.
