Delurking to say "hi" to everyone and their beautiful minis!! My new work schedule has me all turned around and mega tired. This is my fave thread on DoA and your girls and guys always make me smile. I managed to take some craptastic pics of my girls yesterday. Here's one of Harlow with her new eyes.

 

It kind of depends on the lighting/wig/eye choice as to what color it looks in all honesty In some lights, with some accessories, it looks like a charcoal gray, in others, closer to blackish-brown...so a grayish-blackish-brown, I guess

Wig size, he wears a 7-8" the best. Mazz, my Breakaway has a much smaller head and therefore wears 6-7" wigs very well, though I make him wear a wig cap to keep his headcap on and to make him fit into his 7"-8" wig Eye size for Karsh, definitely 14mm. I have several pairs of 14mm glass eyes from LUTS, and all vary a slight bit in size, but they definitely work the best. The pair he has in the pic are a very small 14mm pair and they work marvelously! 16mm's would probably fit in the eye-wells, but you wouldn't see much whites, unless you had a pair with small irises

OMG so adorable!!! I was planning on ordering a YoSD doll next, but I really, really want an Eliya... After Christmas, when I pay off my Miyu I might order one. I need to order both sets of heads and mod one's eyes open and make a boy version, since I think Eliya's head mold would make a totally endearing boy

Karla-chan: You are very welcome! I have yet to run into a wig that his ears interfere with, and I have a ton of wigs in various mediums/sizes/styles. That's not to say that there isn't a wig out there that might have trouble with the ears, but right now, I have yet to come across one!

Hi everyone. Here I am randomly stepping into your conversations like a newb. I have a great back story for a doll and the one I found to fit her was the MNF Chloe. But I'm also interested in the VE Chloe Sculpt for the same character. I think I'd like her to be in the BW but am still kinda teetering on that seeing as I'm not sure when I will be purchasing her. I found that DDE has her available so I don't have to buy her directly from their site in a full set. Woops. Rambling. Anyway. About what would you price the VE Chloe sculpt? For open eyed and sleeping face?

 

VE Chloe only came as a sleeping head, so if you found one with open eyes it would have been modded.

 

Oh. I feel a little silly now. Thank you! Now that that has been cleared up- What sort of price for that sculpt would I be looking at?

 

@StaciaStarburst: To clarify, VE Chloe was originally released by FairyLand as an event item, only a sleeping head, so you can't actually order a VE Chloe through A la Carte or anything like that, while regular human-eared open-eyed Chloe is available through A La Carte as a full doll. Since the VE Chloe head is now only available secondhand, the price is really up to the seller. It could be anywhere from $30-$300 or more.

 

Yeah I know it was an event and can't be done through A la Carte. Hmn. I guess when I have some money put away for this head I'll put up a WTB in the Marketplace. Until then I guess I'll just keep my eye's on the head in the FS section just in case.

I've finally done it! I've saved up enough for a Minifee!! I'll be ordering soon.....tomorrow if I want to catch this week's ordering through DDE. I'm debating whether or not to get the high heel feet though, and also considering which hands to get.

Can anyone help me with spam of various hands (especially if you can tell me which they are by number)? And if you have the high heel feet pictures of those in action would be great. Opinions about the high heel feet are also welcome. Do you use them much? Do the dolls stand okay in them? Can you find shoes to fit the high heel feet.

I love, love, love MnF hands. Out of every doll I've ever had, MnF hands are my absolute favorite. My little Myliex has #4 hands.

Congrats Wolvenflame! I love the look of the MNF Highheeled feet when my girls are bare foot, but honestly, I don't use them much. I have those dark blue brand heels and they work fine on their regular flat feet.

Dilemma alert! Can I request some Shushu (esp. modded) vs. Woosoo girls??? I have to decide on a woosoo coming in or on the foxy Shushu I have now (not sure if this is even a possible decision considering my love for both of the sculpts!!!)

Is that a #4 hand on your Shushu too, littlegreythings? It seems like a nice natural and versatile hand style.

@emsinott Hadley thanks you It's actually one that I got for an OT fashion doll ages ago. Fashion doll is gone, but I couldn't part with that dress!

@Wovenflame Hm... (goes to check order, lol) I think it might be from the #8 set, which is one of my faves. I bought three extra sets of hands when I got my girl. I love that MNF's have optional hand parts and I really wanted to take advantage of it

 

So much Shushu, so little Woosoo! I must remedy that.

i love these feet and they are good for all kinds of situations. they are much more natural for certain barefoot poses and fit better than the flat feet into some of the steeper heeled shoes. the flat feet do work better in certain heeled shoes, though, as they are slightly longer than the heeled feet - i believe someone mentioned the dark blue shoes as an example of this.

Thanks for the info on the high heeled feet, fenris. I do like the natural look for bare foot poses. I'll probably get a set for that reason alone.

Does anyone know if the high heeled feet will fit into Delilah Noir boots?

 

The feet are not magnetic, right? So how do you change the feet? How easy is it?

Hehe I bought a Minifee Shiwoo head off the Marketplace today So now I'm waiting for Chiwoo and Shiwoo! I'm so excited!!! And next year I will be saving for their lovely bodies

Graelin - the feet have a little tab that the elastic is hooked onto. If you pull on the foot a little, you'll see it. I loop a shoelace through the elastic and hold onto it. I remove the flat foot and switch it out for the high heeled one. **hope that makes sense**

XD Hahah I got one of Bryony's clothing items in today. x) I am hoping she'll find her way over the pond quickly. She'll be body sharing with Lily and Devin for a little while. No more doll purchases for me just bodies this year.(2012) Once I have all the bodies I need I'll start dollies again.

^^; It'll be odd for me seeing her character on Lily's body though since she will eventually go on a cutie bust with model legs ^^;

It's a done deal. I just put in my order for an active line Luka Minifee, small bust, cutie legs, with #3 and #4 hands and high heel feet, in natural.

A big thank you to everyone in this thread who helped me in the decision making process with pictures of their dolls and answers to various questions. I can't wait for the day I can join you all here "for real".

It's Christmas Eve over here! Blair wishes everyone happy holidays!

 

I ordered both faceplates blank. I'm planning to have the closed eye one modded to OE by Ban Sidhe, but with slightly smaller eyes and with the shape of the eyes more like those of the "El" sculpt.

My daughter will also be ordering a MiniFee in the coming months and she thinks she will probably want a Luka too, so she might order a different sculpt and allow me to trade the faceplate for her incoming doll with the OE Luka faceplate I'll have left over. It will all depend on which face sculpt she decides she likes the best once she sees them in person.

It works out to be a good deal for both of us because even though I only want the closed eye faceplate I have to order the OE plate to get the full doll. She thinks she will most likely want a Luka so she's willing to order another sculpt and consider trading it. Either way I'll end up with an extra faceplate to either develop into a second character that will share the MiniFee body, or to sell later on the marketplace.

 

Ahhh Guuuyyys my Chloe is so close now She's just an hour n 40 min away in JFK ;-;! Sooo cloooseeee
I so hope she slips through customs fast!
