I just finally started paying attention to the fairyland waiting room, only to see that people who ordered just a couple weeks before me are already getting notices, and it's got me a little antsy for my ryeon to get here now xD

so i was looking online for some white eye lashes for my all white woosoo found some for $2.00 then proceed to order it and it is now $24.00 for one pair of eye lashes. Can you believe it? lol shipping killed my mood to even buy them lol

You could try running a group order for them? You might have to wait a while, but shipping would be shared between a bunch of people. Or you could make some, there's a tutorial in the customizing section on making lashes out of paintbrush hairs. You could also try cutting down and/or painting human lashes.

Basically, it's when a group of people all order things they want from the same company at the same time. One person usually takes responsibility for ordering, and everything gets shipped to them, and then they ship everything else out to the other participants.

So say Person A wanted to order a wig from Fairyland, but didn't want to pay $50 of shipping (random number), so they get Person B (who wants 2 pairs of hands and a pair of eyes) and Person C (who wants two wigs) and Person D (who wants some shoes) to order at the same time.
Persons B, C, and D would send their money for the items they want to Person A, plus the portion of shipping they needed to pay, and then Person A would order the 3 wigs, the 2 pairs of hands, the eyes and the shoes.
Eventually, it would all get sent to Person A and they would then send everything out to the other group members.

Hopefully that probably unnecessary explanation was at least somewhat understandable.

There's a whole section of the marketplace for Group Orders. You could always see if there was one for the company you need already running so you wouldn't have to host one yourself.

 

Can anyone tell me if the head in this post is a modded doll or if they really sold a sleeping version of the MF Tan Lishe? I think it might be the "special" version? (I tried contacting the original poster, but they don't seem to be on DOA much anymore.)

If it is a "special version," does anyone know when this head was sold, and if it was available only as an option if you were getting the regular head or separately at a later date, and the cost? Also, was there a "special" version of the SD head of Tanning Lishe sold, or was it only in MF form?

Any help is appreciated--thank you.

 

She's the sleeping head that went with the Tan MNF Lishe, Kinda like the recent smokey quartz Shiwoo came with a sleeping head too I am not sure when it was sold though.

Thank you. It sounds like it was available at the same time as the MF Tan Lishe head, but not sold separately. I think I can deduce by the date on the owner's post that it must have been available at least starting in '06, although I'm not sure how much extra it would have cost or how long it was sold. But, that's more info than I had! Thanks!

 

Luts sold the Tan Lishe before the Minifee were taken back by CP and sold by Fairyland, which was around 2006. At the same time they were also selling Tan Delfs - the Shiwoo, El, Lishe and DES. I'm not sure how many tan MNF there were, there was possibly a tan DES or a tan El. All tan dolls came with sleeping heads, which is where that head came from.

Fairyland doesn't make tan dolls anymore - at least not of that colour and vintage mainly because of the issue with quality when it comes with a tan doll - they did sell Choco-Pukis for a while, but that has also been stopped. They have only recently tried a tan again, and it is a completely different tan - and was only available during the event time and only for Chiclines.

 

To continue this train of discussion, Luts recently found some backstocked tanned dolls that they had cast before the Fairyland/Luts split, and they did an extremely limited release (of a whopping 5 fullsets) of Shiwoo. This release was called the Luts Smoky Quartz Siwoo, and came out in August of 2010.

The fullsets came with both open-eyed and sleeping heads.

The resin color of the chocopuki release that Fairyland did is closer to the color of the tanned Luts Minifee releases than the tan resin Fairyland did for their special Chicline release this year.

I don't know whether they sold a tan MNF DES, but they did sell a tan MNF El. I'm lucky to own one (with the sleeping head).

so my question is who pays the biggest fee?

 

It depends on who is running it. Some people will say that if you ordered 60% of the total order, you pay for 60% of the shipping price. Most I've seen just divide it by how many people are in the order so it is all equal, though.

Once everything arrives at the leader's house, they divide it up by who ordered what and then each member has to pay for it to be sent to their house. This is just paying for your package of things to be sent to your house, and is not divided between group members.

I hope that made sense.

On another note, I have decided that I want my next MNF to be a Juri '10. Any pictures of this lovely lady out there?
