I'm back! Did you miss me?? *LOL* Just kidding. I haven't posted in a while because I shook up my MNF crew a bit. Billie has moved to a new home and Cage is now in the permanent care of FondueDragon (my DD). But now I believe I've made a place for a MNF girl with my other characters again so I've got a "fixer-upper" coming my way. I love a good project so I'm excited!

She will be a Ryeon on an older B-line body (with a modded neck too so I'll have to fix that).
So... Anybody have some cute B-line girls to share? They need love too!!

 

WOW, kayjay! I hadn't seen that Chloe before! Thank you for the spam, peeps! Buff is the only person I know of who is popular for eye-mods, I was just wondering if there was anyone else I didn't know of. She will probably end up going to Buff anyways. And her name shall be Nova! ...Not that she'll be getting a body anytime soon...

 

Muff I had napoleonchan do Harmony's mod. Buff has a daughter so I think she really limits the number of mod spots she takes nowadays just for health concerns. Anyways I couldn't be happier with Harmony's sleepy head =]

schlee- hehe thanks! im still working on getting her fully together. planning on getting her deer tail sometime this week, and then its just hooves. MSD hooves are so hard to come by! i think im just going to order them from resinsoul and modify them to make them work better. (im rereading the series now do that i can send appropriate info to the faceup artist for daemon!) i wish i could post full images of her... X.x

goodness i haven't been on here in forever, four whole new threads lol. I gotta question if you order a doll from fairyland with just the body and head with no make up will they ship faster?

also anybody know where to find distinctive unique wigs? Every doll shop i been to so far has the same kind of hair style. Any wig makers here?

Ordering without a face-up usually has the dolls ship a bit earlier than ones with a face-up or with a lot of extras. Since you're in the US, you could also order from DenverDollEmporium... they might have the doll you want in stock, which would let it ship even faster. My friend ordered an in-stock doll from them once and it was in her hands in 4 days.

They tend to ship a little faster, yes, because processing takes less time, but it's not guaranteed, obviously.

I... love looking at all different doll shops for wigs. My favorite shop is actually http://www.leekeworld.com/en/ because I think they always have some really interesting wigs, but there are plenty of wig makers on DoA, just go down into the Marketplace - Wigs, or Marketplace -Commissionable Services or whatever, and you can find some.

As Tayma-Leigh said, there's always Denver Doll Emporium to order from; they do layaway too. However, Fairyland ships to DDE in a sort of "all at once" kind of way, where when a bunch of MNF for DDE are ready to go, then they ship them all at the same time to DDE (probably to save some on shipping), so DDE gets them in waves. Regardless, FL's turn around right now is looking at about a month to a month and a half for the direct orders, and maybe just a bit longer than that for the DDE orders (though some of those have also been right at about a month or so).

Waiting for Boy Luka. Ah how I still remember when I first started, and thought I could stop at 1.

And finally took some pictures of my girl Shiwoo. I love that head sculpt.


No matter what colored hair I think my dolls should have, they always end up wearing light blonde or white wigs, just to avoid head stain.

And her with the little girl in brown clothes from Dollheart's lucky bags.

 

@Shlee~ may I ask what wig sizes you tend to get from Leeke? Are the 7/8 a good fit or do you get the 6/6.5? Thank you

 

I don't own a MNF yet... I used to have a Juri head, and I found the 6/6.5 wigs fit pretty well, if a bit tight, but that tends to mean they stay on pretty well.

Some people say 7/8 is too big, others say it fits well. It says their head circumference is 7.3 inches, but Leeke wigs tend to be pretty dang stretchy/have stretch in them, so a 6/6.5 would seem like a better option, just because it would stretch and fit tighter.

I know that there is another great wig company called Happy Camille that my friend goes through, but normally the person who runs the group orders runs them few and far between from what I've seen, and I don't know of another way to buy the wigs, except maybe through a Taobao group order. If you buy from them, you buy the smaller MSD-sized wig, versus the bigger MSD sized wig (yes, that company has two sizes for MSD, so confusing) and my friend twylight says they fit really dang well.

All in all, it might be trial and error, but it's ultimately up to your discretion. A 7/8 wig with a silicone wig cap would probably also work super well, but a 6/6.5 might be your better bet depending on how long you want the wig to ultimately be on the doll.

Thanks, Shlee! That's useful information for me concerning Leekeworld. I have Crobidoll wigs in 7/8 that fit Niki and Sammy really well, but Tina's head is a bit smaller so I've been looking at other companies too. Leeke has some super cute stuff~ Now I'm comfortable ordering a bit smaller size, knowing they'll likely fit at least 1 of the three

I know it may be silly but there is a white sleeveless shirt/tank that came in a Ty Girlz outfit set I bought off the mp for my LTF. I needed a top for Charlie ( my small bust) girl to wear when she first got here and the fit was really nice. it just skims the waist line too. You might want to try that. Since it's white you could also dye it if you want.

I haven't even recieved my first minifee yet and I am already trying to decide on my second...I am stuck between Chloe and Luka. Both have a sweet and young look about them. I wonder why Luka is not more popular-- her sculpt (his?) reminds me a lot of the Jury 08 which everyone loves. It's not as delicate, but it still has the happy eyes and wee smile.

I need some more Mirwen spam, but I only know of three on DoA. Even if mine arrives early I have to wait until Christmas!I hope I can make her look like a young teen...

 

I finally got around to making some *nice* clothes for Float. Poor girl only had one ugly dress for almost 2 weeks! Now she has this super cute shirt/dress/thing which I'm not quite done with yet...
