Thanks for your reply Mine has either 14 or 16 in but I don't know as they are just what I had lying in a box *blushes*. My girls are demanding better treatment

 

@JediSpiceGissia and Miyabi~ Thank you both Sammy in the black-and-white dress IS a Luka girl! I honestly have a hard time seeing this sculpt as a boy - the face is so playful, shy and coy all at once and very girly.

Niki and Sammy are both wearing 14mm Eyeco Softglass Metallic eyes from Safrindoll, with Sammy wearing the green-and-yellow kind. (Looks like they're "B108 Metallic" for anyone wanting super specifics).

For comparison, here's Tina wearing the metallic blue-and-silver Eyeco eyes:

So I spent some time playing around with all three of my dolls last night, and I realized something. Sammy can't/won't touch her hands to her face... but both Niki and Tina have no problems. When I try to bend her elbow, the little elbow joint "pops" out and I see the string, and when I let go the arm snaps back to n L position. This doesn't happen with the other two. I know that Niki and Tina's bodies are a year or two older, and Sam's is brand new. Would it be that she's strung too tightly to allow her arm that range of movement?

 

Yes she looks like a boy, but a very cute little boy.

 

@quiet0ne: I think the tomboy style is cute! But I could see her with a longer style for a little more feminine flair, too.

 

your girls are really lovely. i am dying with envy over their necklaces, though. where did you get them?

 

Gah! I should have known this was going to happen. I got a minifee, and now I'm here all the time looking at every one else's beautiful minifees and now there are about 3 or 4 other sculpts that I want. :P

Okay, so after babysitting a friend's Chloe for the night--I'm back to my previous issue---who should I get for my main character: Chloe or Mirwen? So, I open the floor to the MNF Discussion-Who should I get as my first Minifee and who would look better with a bitchy, dark and kinda gothic faceup?
Edit: forgot to mention---my girl will be a redhead.

I think Mirwen! In my mind Chloe is much more sweet looking type of girl.

 

Between the two, I think Mirwen, though I do see her face as more sad than dark/gothic-y. Honestly, I think the Rheia sculpt is the best for looking dark and fierce. But yeah, if it's just Chloe or Mirwen, I definitely vote Mirwen too.

Also, yes, dolls ship to DDE a little slower than they ship out direct from Fairyland, but not by much. I think right now people are about a week behind the direct-from-fairyland orders in the waiting room. I know a ton of Minifees got in today.

 

Definitely agreeing that Chloe is super sweet... I can't really picture her gothic at all. Mirwen would pull it off beautifully I think

 

I agree with Shlee: I was thinking Rheia myself cuz she just has this 'rolls her eyes' at everything look. And/or Lishe...that one always seems just a bit pissy. I've seen some wonderfully bitchy looking Rheia molds though. Too bad they aren't mine or I would share pics, LOL!

I'm gettin' a VE Chloe!!!! I'm so excited, I've been wanting one for months! Can I get some celebratory VE Chloe spam, modded or otherwise? Also, who do you guys recommend for open eye mods?

 

Well there's always regular Chloe if you want to make them the same character. Otherwise... there's so many molds, and SO many ways each mold can look, it's up to your aesthetic preferences. I'd highly recommend going to the wiki that's in the very first post, or even just going to flickr.com and searching MNF Sculptname (so like.. put MNF Rheia in the search box to look for different Rheias, etc.) to kind of see what the sculpts look like or have the potential to look like.

Okay, I got ballsy with Sammy's arms tonight. After some fiddling I figured out that the little elbow peanut was just super tight in the forearm bit. Hurray, she can now touch her face too! Thanks for letting me vent/whine ya'll Here's Sammy to say thanks, too!

Sher - your Lishe is GORGEOUS!! Wow definitely my taste I'd go for a 50's film star name - Lana, Marilyn ....

I think Mirwen's sculpt is going to look fabulous with different faceups. I've only seen one default so far and she's gorgeous. I want a Mirwen with auburn hair and a bold faceup with red lips (if anyone saw the latest Torchwood, Miracle Day, I'm thinking similar to the PR lady Jilly)

 

I'm getting my Mirwen a custom face-up, but I haven't figured out how she would look like she's going to be WS so that makes it hard for me to decide.

gothic- totally vote for mirwen on that one. love the look of chloe for sexy, but nikki's right, shes a bit more free in her look, even when theyve got a darker faceup. mirwen has those lips!!! i think shes great for a gothic look, i was def considering her for something like that myself.
