Hey everyone! Check it out! I've had this Shushu head for a while now, but today her body finally arrived! Yay! I sewed her a dress real quick so she doesn't have to walk around here all nakey.


Her name is Float. I was trying to explain to a friend at work how I came to own *only* the head of a doll and used the term "floating head" and the name Float just sort of stuck. I think it's very fitting. I'm not sure about these eyes though...

 

she's really pretty megdalena, but you're right those bright blue eyes kind of overwhelm her coloring. i can see her in a light blue/gray that would tone in better with the pinks

 

My new Karsh girl is gorgeous, but i've pent so much time playing with her that i'm too exhausted to upload pix tonight! Tomorrow... btw any ideas? Something sweet and delicate...

 

Thanks! Those eyes actually came with the blank Chloe head that I got along with Float's body. I like them better than the acrylics she had been wearing, but they are definitely overwhelming! LOL I was thinking either a deep purple, or a pink to match her hair. I love it when dolls eyes and hairs match! I ordered some pink acrylics from Safrin. Hopefully they will be here tomorrow! I will probably go shopping around for a light blue/gray too, though... I just have this funny feeling that this girl will go through lots of eyes before I find the right pair. She has such a specific color scheme... Thank you for your suggestion, btw!

Oh gosh, emsinnott, I'm not good with names! I have a hard enough time naming my own girls... What about... Isabel or Lilianna or Melody. Good luck naming her! Can't wait to see pictures!!!

I don't have any objection for it to be re-released either. Juri 08 is one of my favourite mnf sculpt.
was just bringing up a possible scenario of some fans might get put off. As some people already discussed regarding Iple limiteds being re-release as basic/alc (forgot what they called their ala carte)

hope I don't/didn't offend anyone.

Mom has been teaching me to crochet hats, next will have to be scarves. I must have half a dozen already that she's made. XD

I have other awesome news, I've been working on a saw horse table which is going very well. That means a kitchen scene photo shoot is imminent. Which I can't wait for, since I've had this idea in my head since I realized my mini Tupperware set fit Aislinn perfectly.

Great news! I was stuck deciding what doll to get to keep my DES company (between Chloe and Shushu). But I had an amazing opportunity to adopt an elf Shushu in beauty white (from when Luts was still taking orders for MNFs)! *__* So excited to finish paying off her layaway! In the meantime, I have to pay more attention to Sophie before the new girl comes xD

Took Aria out for an outdoor photoshoot~ I took my camera bag,tripod and bag with my doll two blocks from my house to this pond/nature trail hoping to get a decent photo before the sun completely set. People walking by were so confused. A guy walking his dog started asking me what I was taking pictures of since my doll was hidden in the grass and i'm all "oh, nothing really" >.< Don't want to explain what she is blah blah blah. Anyways enough rambling here's a pic from earlier ^^.

OMG OMG OMG!!! You guys are never gonna believe this! I went to a doll meetup today at DDE and they gave away a Juri 08 head in a gift drawing!!! I was going to cry... but then I went up to my friend and offered her cash and she agreed!!! I'm so happy! I now have the grail doll of my dreams that I really thought would be impossible to have!! AND! I only came up with the extra cash because someone paid off their layaway today! I want to cry!
And I didn't have to pay $600 dollars because my friend isn't a greedy little booger!!!!!
I think I might name her Serendipity!!!
