LOL! Too funny! I had to go back and look at the photo again and I see what you mean! It looks like he is either wearing a princess crown or fireworks are erupting out of his head! The sweater is a Nine9style that I got along with my Shushu head impulse purchase about a month ago. I figured it would work for him until I can make him some clothing of his own but he looks so cute and comfy in it he may be keeping it.

It is! And very wispy. I need to use something to keep it styled the way I want it or it just poofs everywhere!

My Luka head arrived yesterday. I love her to bits but I have trouble thinking of a name for her.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I have some more questions, LOL! I was looking on the MNF database link and I am a little confused about some of the body styles:

1. What is the difference between the cutie bust and the small bust? Cuz I really dont see one... Maybe cutie size is like an 'A' cup or something?

2. Is the larger bust harder to find clothes for?

3. Is the active line body the only one where you can get high-heeled feet?

4. If the A-line body has the magnets, how visible are they through the resin? I have seen some little Puki's in person w/the mags and I could see them. It reminded me of the 'green stains' some Barbie Dolls would get back in the day when the metal and vinyl/plastic would interact badly.

Thank You guys for all your help! I am learning a lot and still think I am going to buy Chloe as my 1st MNF (notice I said first, haha!) but that Rhiea is sooo tempting too. And so is Karsh, and Shushu and...

 

So I just ordered/paid for my Mirwen with Paypal. My Paypal invoice says I've just sent a payment to "Far East Doll Factory". Does that sound right, those of your who have paid with Paypal? I bought my other two Fairyland dolls from Denver Doll so I wasn't sure...

She is my Christmas present from my husband, but he wanted me to place the order so he "wouldn't mess up and order the wrong legs or head or something". I got her alacarte with no faceup and cutie bust, but I am in a split for the fullset outfit! I am so excited! She will be my first Minifee and my first doll bigger than a YoSD.

Thank You for the link! I did take a look, and NOW I do see the difference! I was thinking of going with the larger bust, but the pic owner said something about the larger one being hard to pose. So many things to think about, but right now I have to think about bobbie size, LOL!

 

Some people have problems getting the large bust dolls to lock properly at that joint. I think my large bust girl may have had that problem, and she loves to lean to the one side all the time. I sueded her and have had no problems. She poses as well as my small bust girl. ^_^

 

OMG!!! Congrats!! Please take pics of this gorgeous girl-I want to know what the blank face looks like since I'm getting my own Mirwen soon too.

Oh those Luka girls really are killing me lately. Which is ridiculous because I had a Luka - well a boy one - and he ended up heading over to TPR's so that he could get some loving attention. So why do I suddenly feel the need for a Luka girl????

Ivy is definitely one of my favorite Chloes, superamy, and those eyes are so fantastic on her! I love the contrast of orange-y faceup, freckles, and blue hair and eyes!

I can only answer about the magnets through the normal skin. They are not in the least bit visible even if you hold them up to light. Now that might be different for the white skin, which I can't answer for, but I have my doubts.
I imagine the puki hands are incredibly smaller than minifee hands which might be why you could see them.

Good luck deciding. I'll throw in some washed out spam of my girl's hands flaunting her ring collection.
You can't tell they come off, and by the way I have heard that the magnets on the Active line give you a better range of motion than the standard hands with incorporated ball piece.

Those are new shorts too but I have no tops made, so no showing off.

 

Yay, I ordered Mirwen! I'm getting her with the fullset makeup and sleeping face through a split. I chose small bust A-line body with cutie legs. I'm so excited, she will be my first minifee! I have been having an awesome time virtual window-shopping for a pretty wig for her. I'm still thinking of names for her. I really like the name Mirwen but don't want to be unoriginal. Anyways, so excited!!!

 

Thanks - he just loves compliments, the "modest" boy.

1. I would suppose that the cutie bust is a "b" while the small bust is an "a".

2. I've never had problems getting my MNF large bust girl clothes - I have bought from Her Delicate Strength (Brennil) and Diverse Designs and everything fits fine.

3. I don't know if the high-heeled feet can fit on the B-line - you'd have to have a look at the connection.

4. You can't really see the magnets in the hands of the MNF, definitely not in the same way that you can see them through the palms of the Pukifee and PukiPuki.

You're a lucky girl! Yes - Fairyland is the Far East Doll Company - it will show on all of their boxes and the like.

(forgot to refresh before replying.) i thought it was the other way around with cutie smaller than the small. does anyone have both that could let me know? ember has a cutie bust and i have a luka with a small bust on order, but luka won't be here for months yet.

Finally I have my MNF brothers fully reshelled!! So exited *does a little dance*. Rheia is just so cute and pouty I found it to be a tricky sculpt to make into an aspiring Super Villain, but I think the eyebrows make it. Three face-ups later, it's just the right look of cute and evil.

 

I honestly can't remember - I thought cutie was the middle - i.e: large, cutie, small... but I could be wrong.

 

Cutie is the smallest 14.5 cm around, small is 15.5 cm, and large is 16.5 cm. So there is a cm differnce between each. and they are all fairly easy to dress, even the large is quite a bit smaller than many mature msds (soulkids bust is 19cm)

i can totally confirm that CUTIE bust is the SMALLEST. i have both cutie and small bust girls, and zoe(has the cutie) is much less endowed in the bosom dept. i can take pix if anyone really needs to know, but i think FL and Mendo's wiki do a good job of clarifying things

She looks great! I think I'm gonna go with A-line, larger bust, #3 hands, and the Chloe head w/o face-up. And I did write the company wondering if I can buy an extra head with my order. Possibly a Rheia or Ryeon, or really I'm not sure, hard to decide...

Huh, my Angell Studio girls have 18cm busts. Must be 'rounder' like the Soulkids. Actually I had noticed my girls were quite curvy...The MiniFees are slim dolls like Unoa's right? And generally wear smaller sized wigs like a 6/7 correct? My AS girls wear a 7/8 size.

I can help with this one. The high heeled feet fit both the active line and the beautiful line bodies; the connection's exactly the same on both bodies.

About bust sizes - cutie is the smallest and indeed it's different from small. Not only is it flatter but it also lacks the line between the boobies, don't recall what it's called. You can see all the boobs from the front and 3/4 view on the a la carte page - here.
And these are cutie and small on my dolls:

You can also see the color difference between new resin and resin that's a few years old here. Cutie bust is the new resin.

About magnets - magnets do not show in MNFs since they're big and magnets are small so the resin layer over them covers them. You can see the back magnets in LTFs (but not in hands) and pretty much all magnets in PKFs under certain light. Simply because the smaller they get, the thinner the resin before the magnet comes. Magnets themselves are one size only.

 

Oooh it's interesting to see how FL resin yellows. It gets warmer in tone, kinda peachy. I find it quite pretty judging from those photos.

I think the word you're looking for is "cleavage".

Hey guys I was wondering if anyone has had this prob with there MNF ever before. I just find it odd as hell.

So I found out that two of my Minifee's suffered Yellowing on there legs just there legs. The back of there legs are fine both Minifee's were bought in 09.
My boy came home in Aug and my girl's body came home in Dec. What I would like to hear from anyone as to what could have caused it. I never had this happen to any of my dolls before, I checked the others they all seem to be fine.

My dolls sit on a shelf and my room is always dark as I don't like light myself and to protect them. I hardly ever have the curtains pulled back unless it is night time.

Crescent_P: Whoa, that's odd. I've never heard of anything like that. Perhaps it's uneven MSC application that's to be blamed?

I attended the LDoll Festival and had two dolls with me. Here's a photo of Shell and Illya sitting on our table. Illya got a new corset from Raouken and 'stole' a pair of bloomers from a Lolita set I had for sale. Naughty boy!

 

Crescent: That happened to my kid delfs, too. My room doesn't get a lot of natural light, but yellowing isn't just from light, it's from exposure to air, too, so the clothes might be protecting other places. On my kid delfs, I noticed their arms have gotten a little yellow, while their torsos and legs havent, simply because they're wearing sleeveless orshort sleeved shirts and are clothed everywhere else. I haven't really noticed it in my other dolls, simply because my kid delfs are a lighter resin and they were my first dolls, but i imagine it's the same reasoning.




aaaand totally unrelated to yellowing, I got my bday purchase #3 today! He's gonna need different eyes (he's wearing acrylics that are the wrong color and a size too big right now @_@ ) and maybe a different wig, buuuuuut here's Cyrille!



Also, I think I have a name for my Juri! Gotta consider it a little more, but I think i found something that suits her very well =]

i know awhile ago, someone wanted scar spam. i finally got off my butt and finished my breakaway boy's arm! hooray!



story goes that he is a fire demon. was in a fight and well, since hes all supernatural and stuff, his blood is actually magma. thus, the scar is intended to look like cooled lava. it is a perpetual "scab" basically. not to totally gross anyone out...XP
