There is a Unoa fashion show thread - what do you guys think of a Minifee fashion show thread? Would ya'll post on it? I would love to see everyones clothes and shoes!

 

Out of curiosity, what do you guys use to wire your Minifees, those of you that do wire them in some way? I know coated wire to avoid scratching the inside of the resin, but any other tips? Fionha currently has coated, straightened paperclips in her legs, and I kind of feel like a terrible person for using paperclips...>.>

Whew! I haven't been on DOA much for the last month or two! Things have been really busy, and I haven't gotten to spend as much time playing with all of my FL kids as I would like! They all sit on the mantle/bookshelf downstairs though where I can see them every day!

I realized yesterday that I have not gotten around to taking or uploading any pictures of my Rheia who arrived back in March! Ooops! I totally love her though! This is all i have at the moment and it's a crappy cell photo from my old phone, but since someone called for Rheia spam, I thought I'd share anyway!

I'm curious, where in the legs are your paperclips? I've been wondering what I can do to keep Delilah's legs from driving me crazy, perhaps wiring is the answer (though I would have no idea how to do it!)

 

Oh my... I have been away from the forum for so long. So many pretty new dolls! And my Chloe finally came on Monday. I'm still trying to figure out who to send her to for her faceup, so hopefully I can introduce her soon!

I am really liking this, i think it is going to be very fun and very useful

 

Glad you agree that this has the potential of being very useful.

I have amended the opening of the thread to ask everyone to refrain from making any comments even about how great the dolls look in their outfits, etc.

This way the most amount of information will be available without having to scroll through all sorts of posts.

 

I agree, what about questions on how well things fit various sizes so you know if it will fit the shape of your doll?

 

omg that fashion thread is brilliant! I always wanted to compile a list of exact sites etc where you can get clothes for Minifee but this is great since you get to see it all =D

I'll have to go take some full figure shots X3

Perhaps people should list what sizes their doll is - like bust size etc and also a bit more detail into how well each item fits?

Eg - Doll has a small bust so the UNOA size dress bags slightly on the upper body but would probably really look good on a bigger busted doll that would fill it better.

This looks like the sort of thing where if people put in as much detail as possible it would really benefit the whole community.

 

Agreed. Add the bust size of doll and denote if you know for a FACT that it will fit other bust sizes.

I tried to get people to give TOTAL DISCLOSER information in a similar thread for the Fairyland Chicline dolls and the policy was not really followed. It would be great if it could be done in this thread.

 

I think if people make comments with the picture the size of the doll and how it fits on them, then that would be easier. I will edit my comment on there to explain what i mean. And hopefully it will be helpful.

I put her the amethyst outfit" from Fairyland and the blond wig bought with my DES floating head : Eris.
Now Laurelynn will share her body with Eris => they are "sisters of body"... (born the same year though Eris is a little pink more).

I was wondering what body is looking like best to MNF body ? (in term of resin color for NS and way of posing/moving) I know there is some thread concerning compatibility/matching but I prefer having your opinion too.

I put them in her legs starting at the knee, so one half goes up her thigh and the other half goes down her calf. If you pull her knee joint apart, you can sort of bend the paperclip wire a little to get it in both sides at the same time. Also, I used big paperclips, not itty bitty ones, haha. ^^

I've never wired my minifees but I did wire my DOC. I used floral wire that I found at Joannes. The thicker kind that is covered in white. It worked well and I was able to cut it to the size I needed.
