Hybrids Minifee doll leaves hybrid

I don’t have any doll leaves heads, but do have a minifee (head and body).

Just checking- are you aware you’ll have to restring the body? Minifees have a head connector piece that is a sort of key. It doesn’t fit other doll heads. The hole in the bottom of the neck is a different shape and instead of pulling an S hook through the hole, minifees make you turn a little resin bar to lock on the head. The connectors should come with the body by default, although you would need to check the listing pages to be certain.

You will most likely have to restring the body to a normal S hook to get it to be compatible. (I say most likely because I’ve never actually tried to put another head on her, but from looking at it it seems you would have to.) Some people are comfortable with restringing, some aren’t. YMMV

Genreally speaking, if a hybrid works one way it is a good chance that it will work the other way around too. Reference photos of both combinations will be useful to get a better idea of if you will be happy with the hybrid you are planning. They will also provide valuable information on th skin colours and what possible matches there are, so don't be afraid to widen your search.
The head mechanism that fairyland uses is not a common thing, most companies uses the more traditional S-hook. It's fully possible to restring a minnifee using ans S-hook instead and won't require any permanent mods as long as the neck fits the head. If it doesn't, you may need to do some light mods.

 

No, restringing is a minifee hybrid thing. The key system makes it super easy to change minifee heads. It lets you skip the hassle of a s hook. Otherwise you have to lift up the hook, pull it through, and then let it relax. Easy when you get the hang of it, but the keys are even easier. I have a full minifee girl and love them.
No. It’s an doll leaves Amara head on a minifee body. A little trick I’ve learned is to look for the elbows. Minifees have the top arm to elbow joint as a straight line for some reason. And the wrists have that ball.

Hey @Iceymelody, not sure if you still wanted to see some pics but since I have a Doll Leaves and a Minifee girl I thought I'd share anyway!!

This is a Doll Leaves Hilo NS and a Minifee Alan NS (moe line I think?)

As you can see, it would require restringing of the MNF body to get the neck adapter off... but I'm also not even sure if the neck would fit the DL head, tbh, because of the size difference! The DL head has a pretty narrow neck hole tbh, for Hilo at least, to the point where I've considered modding my DL body to have a narrow neck for a better fit.

The other thing is that DL NS and MNF NS is pretty different ^^; DL NS is almost white. This MNF is new, too, so it's not a case of yellowing. But with the right faceup it isn't a huge difference, as you can see on my Hilo head/MNF body!

 

Of course!! I also found out where I had written out the exact head measurements, haha, in case that's helpful. But Hilo definitely wears a smaller wig than MNF, I tend to have her fit best in 6-7 rather than 7-8.
