Faceups Minifee Default Faceups

I would be curious to know about this as well.

This is my Zoey's (MNF Miyu) original face up. When I first got her. She no longer has it but this is the default one.




Here is Raine's (MNF Rheia) default faceup. If you all need any better photos or any without the wig just let me know.

I ordered my minifee Chloe blank but from what I've seen her stock faceup tends to have quite a dark colour scheme to it. It looks quite similar the picture they have of the fullset minifee chloe on the website.

 

I ordered a Chloe with her stock face up because I wasn't sure how long till I can give her a different face up. Once I receive her, I'll post a picture.

 

I have ordered a Minifee Celine in tan skin with default faceup, and when I receive her I will post a picture.

 

Well, I really like Fairyland's default faceup ,I have all my Minifees with it ( major reason is that I 'm afraid to send the heads to a faceup artist, and I'm still improving for doing my own one day ) , so I can show you some here and in my flickr too ; )

@lilaseven I hadn't realized Chloe's default was so sparkly. I like it Thank you for posting a picture of a tan Chloe with default, I've been looking all over for one. I don't recall ever seeing one, and I'll be buying a tan Chloe early next year!

Thanks @penguinspalace and @konakona135 , don't worry it's because she's from a 2013 batch, Fairyland made a lot of sparkly faceup then , they don't put so much now, and this is an old picture from 2 year ago ^^

here's a more recent picture , and with some MSC spraying, her faceup is a lot less sparkly !

The Mirwen default is definitely simple, but I think it suits her character well. I had originally planned on getting it redone but now I can't imagine anything else haha

 

You do realize that just because someone gets a particular faceup doesn't mean that every default faceup is identical? Even the companies have disclaimers on their sites that the faceup received may not match the photos used for sale. If there's more than one artist working, there will be variations, and variations may creep in over time too.

While it's interesting to see what a default faceup looks like close-up, it shouldn't be taken as any kind of guarantee for the future--

 

You took the words right out of my mouth, @hobbywhelmed. My secondhand Mirwen's default face-up was done with an exceptionally heavy hand. It didn't match the promo photos at all, which is probably how she ended up on the Marketplace to begin with. I knew she'd need a repaint as soon as I saw her.

 

I feel like it's that unavoidable inconsistency that means we need a thread like this one-- after all, looking at the company site would give everybody an idea about what a default faceup *could* look like, but people posting photos of the default faceups that reached them gives a broader idea of what to expect. It could go as well as one person's owner pics, or as poorly as someone else's, or wind up in-between, and getting to see a range is helpful to me, at least.

(in other words, thanks to everyone who's posted pics, and I hope more get shared here! My household's previous orders from Fairyland have been blank, but with my sister and I both planning on going back to them, it's just really nice to see as many default faceups as possible before making a decision)

Bumping this to see if people will post more recent default faceups they have received on their Minifee's. I'm debating ordering a Mirwen and would love to see what her current default face up is?

 

I’d like to see some more default FL faces as well! I’n debating ordering a Mika with the default and would love to see more in general.
