Wait Times Migidoll Order -- Shipping Time?

OT but I'd like to drop into this, and see if anyone knows how to order from MD.. ^^;;

 

You could PM bunnydots, as she's coordinated at least two very large group orders from Migidoll. I'd post on the MD website question board, and maybe email them. ^^

 

I've ordered one of the Vampire heads that she's selling at the moment, and for that run she opened the ordering between the 10th and the 31st of this month for a dispatch of after the 1st of April. I've not ordered from Migi before so I don't know what the shipping time is like, but if she does a similar run with the Ryu heads I doubt you'll see him before the end of May.
Just my two cents...

 

I was in a group order previously and I believe she closes the orders then begins making the heads. Even if I'm wrong in that, I doubt you could order and receive your MD in the same month unless the ordering period closes really early in that month.

 

In the bunnydots group order I got mine on 10/24/07 or there abouts. The order was placed 9/21/07... To me, that's fast turn-around!

I'm thinking unless there's a minor miracle you're not going to get it in under a month of the close of the offering period

The orderping period itself is nearly usualy a month long so probably won't get till early June. When ordering closes, usually only takes two weeks or so to ship out. Migidoll usually say on their ordering page when she will send the heads out. (Like Vamps will be sent from 1st April)

 

Shipping with EMS takes 3-5 days. I had ordered thru email for Migidoll Ryu and recieved him in about 3 days (manufactoring time with shipping was 7 days). But during the vampire ryu, she sent me the tracking number on 4/6 and today's 4/9. The head is out of custom and will probably get to me by later this afternoon or tomorrow morning. The vampire ryu was ordered on 3/25th, so manufactoring with shipping was roughly 2 weeks. And she had LOTS of orders, so I'd say that it was pretty fast! ^_____^

 

I'd have to say that my Vampire Miho heads arrived in record time. The ordering was closed on the 31st and they shipped on the 5th, are here today -- and I live in New York! (too bad I wasn't here to get them and they're lonely at the post office now...)

I think it depends on whether she's making things ahead of time or not and many other factors too, most likely.

To say that there is a guarantee that anything will be anywhere by xdate, is probably pushing your luck! But then again, it's not a life or death situation, even if it might feel that way

 

one of the important factors with migi is when did you pay?
The last run was sent in quite a number of batches that are shipped off weekly.
I paid near the end of the ordering period, so I got the head quite late. Plus there was a time where she ran out of resin, which delayed the bacthes before mine, and my own by...2 weeks?

if you're the first to order and to pay, chances are, it'll be shipped within 1-2 weeks of the order closing date.

 

Just a note: according to this thread (first post), the heads won't be released until toward the end of May...

How long does it take for the heads to arrive after they've been shipped? I live in South east Texas (USA).

Did they get shipped EMS? With EMS should take about 5-7 working days. If it's air mail or a different method, it could take a lot longer. Mine got shipped EMS, so I'm thinking that's Migi's standard.

Did you get a tracking number? If you did, you can follow the package from the usps site.

 

Because of my location, I receive things in under 5 days from Migidoll. Check your EMS tracking number. It can be held up in customs at the receiving port. The tracking info will show you where it is in the process

 

My boy took 3 days to ship.
Texas and Arizona are only separated by one state, so I'm sure yours will be there in 3 or 4 days. :3

 

I live in California and it took 3 days for me.

 

I live in Florida and it tool three days for my package to arrive.

 

Migi will post your tracking number in the same thread you ordered in. You can either go to the USPS website or this website to track the progress of your package by entering the code that starts with an EM. On the second site, keep clicking "don't install" when the message box pops up. It's annoying that it keeps popping up, but that site updates more often than USPS.

In my experience, it usually takes 3-5 days for an EMS package to arrive.
