[Adopted] Migidoll General Discussion

Finally, another sale! This is awesome. I hadn't checked Migidoll in awhile so I had no idea of the new sculpts. My plans of modding a Ryu to have partly closed eyes is mute now. I'm so happy! Too bad the close eyed Ryu's got teeth but I can always paint over it. :/

Oh man, I don't even have any food, toilet paper or a freaking bed for my apartment but I want Ryu so bad I have dreams about him. I can always sleep on the floor or siphon Craigslist and eat at work.

 

I'm pretty sure the Vampire Ryu sculpt isn't going to be included in this release.

 

Tan Ryu and Miho! I'm so excited! XD I first fell in love with tan Ryu, but in the last sale of him, since Migi said they weren't going to be sold again, I got myself a white Ryu.

Hopefully, I'll be able to get a hold of one of the tan boys, though~ He's been a dream doll for so long

I'm excited to see Jina, though. I've been thinking about modding a Miho into a girl, but it's hard to find a body for that big head. Hopefully, I'll like Jina.

 

But what about a body for tan skin? I don't like Volks bodies....

 

I think the Domuya Flexi body comes in a volks-matching tan. I don't really want to deal with Volks bodies, either. I have trouble posing them. D:

 

Maybe I'm blind and therefore can't see what the price point is for these heads, but how much are the heads going to be sold for?

I missed the last Miho and Ryu sales and so I have no idea how much they went for.

 

Last time, I believe they were $115, approx.

 

I DEFINITELY want one. A Ryu. He's absolutely beautiful. Although, as I have three doll son the way, I probably shouldn't... but I will.

Now just some hard decisions whether to order Miho or Ryu.
And maybe try for the suntanned ones. Why must they be after the normal versions because if you don't get suntanned, you get nothing^^;

 

Wow, I'm so glad I found this! I reeeeally want a Ryu head, I'm so glad Migidoll is going to be doing another order!

I'm a little confused though.. I saw on the site that they will be accepting orders for the Ryu head between May 16 and June 20, yet when I look at the message board I see all kinds of orders just recently placed for the heads! I don't want to be pushy and put my order in now if we're supposed to wait, but has anyone else placed their order yet with success? Should I go ahead and do it or wait it out until the 16th? I'm just worried about the "first come first serve" thing.. and if they're taking orders now earlier than what it indicates on their site, I want to place mine quickly!

Any insight?

 

I was wondering about that too, because I'd really like a tan Ryu. Really, really, really badly. XD

 

Migi said that the prices will be the same as they were last time. And that Leeke and Lati will match the Normal and White Skin heads.

I'm not sure about the tanned heads though.

 

Where did you see that? I checked out her order board and there were only 2 threads made after her 1/4/08 'orders closed' message. One of them was only asking about Miho and was told to wait till May, the other was locked. The ones before the 'orders closed' message were from the previous order time.

 

Just when I clicked on the "order" link on the left-side menu. I've seen ones as recently as 05/02 with subject lines like "Order: Ryu / Miho / etc" so that's why I was curious.

Maybe I should look a little more carefully, hrn.. .:scurries off:.

EDIT: Never mind, I just saw what you were talking about! Whew, that puts me more at ease. Guess I'll be waiting until the 16th! Thanks for the help.

 

Constance, thank you, I completely forgot about them! I wish Domuya's body have different kinds of - you know, like boy-body, or more manish one. I think about how Ryu or Miho head gonna look on that skinny Domuya shoulders and thin neck...

 

It's all good. As long as I get a Ryu head. Doesn't even matter the skin type. I thought I was content with an Orientdoll Tae because he looked similar to Ryu but I can't stand anything smaller than 65cms so I sold him and I have money for this head now! Oh, so happy.

 

For the second migidoll order, is it just for the suntanned ryu and miho, or will there be the option of getting them in normal skin? Anyone know? I'd like a miho, but i really want to see what the new head will look like

 

I'm pretty sure the NS will be available for order from May 16 - June 20, and then either some time during that time or after that time (I can't remember exactly) Migidoll will be taking orders for the sun-tanned versions.

I don't *think* NS orders will be possible after the order dates, but someone correct me if I'm wrong!

 

I'm not too sure, so don't quote me on this, but I think Domuya has several boy bodies. There's the standard D1, another standard (?!), and then the flexi perennial. I think they all come in the tan.

If I manage to get a tan head, I'll be getting the neck adapter for the Domuya body. D: Those short necks really bother me.

Weird how Migi is releasing the dolls in two separate orders this time. I suppose it's so that people who don't want the tans don't have to wait, but I'm going to get nervous watching all the orders flood onto her site while waiting for the tans.

 

If you think about it, having two separate orders gives Migidoll more time to prepare for the order flood. Since they made notice beforehand about the sale, I wonder if they're already working on producing heads. That's a comforting thought!

 

Aaah, ok. I see. I hope I can snag a Tan Ryu head then. I have a Domuya tan body (the taller one) and I really hope he matches it. XD

I'm so confused about the two ordering periods.
During the first period (May/16 to Jun/20) Ryu and Miho will be sold and during second period (Jun/1 to Jun/20) Suntan Ryu and Miho and the new head will be sold?
Did I get it right?

 

chazzi; Yes I think that's it. Also Miu will be sold in the first period.

So you will only be able to order Jina in one skin tone? I'm guessing it's somewhere in between NS and BW, like real skin maybe?

Nyahaha I'm safe! She's too much of a girl for me to change into a boy She reminds me somewhat of iplehouse Iris but with stronger features. I agree though, she looks like Miho's sister.

She's cute but I don't think I can get her. The "family" resemblance is way too strong for her to be anything but a sister to one of my boys. XD It's like Ryu with smaller nose, fuller lips, and rounder eyes. Maybe a good solution for someone who wanted to make a girl Ryu but it didn't quite work.

 

I know, that's what I think too. I really like her but I don't think my boy needs at relative atm. ^^

I'm so excited! I bought one each of normal skin Ryu and Miho... My first SD sized BJD parts! Ryu should be perfect for my character, Mylon and I'm going to try Miho for Acacia if I can find a body for her. It seems Lati, Peakswood and Leeke don't have any adult female bodies. Time to start planning clothes, wigs, eyes, face-ups... Fun!

Jina is very pretty too. Beautiful eyes. I'm just not fond of open mouthed dolls for my characters. It's probably for the best right now.

I just sent my payment for Miho and Ryu in normal resin. I already know who Miho will be. Ryu...well, we're still discussing things. There are...possibilities.

 

Hopefully I'll be able to get in on the ordering period for Suntan Ryu...I've wanted him for quite a while now! I'll have graduated and have a job by then, so I should be able to get one

Is it possible, and how, to change your order? I accidentally ordered NS and wanted WS.

 

Just a question, wil you be able to order in 'till the 20th or can it be closed of before due to the heads being sold out?

 

I think Migi said that for the normal heads yes, you can order until the end regardless of quantity, but for the tan heads, since they're limited, I'd imagine it could be closed sooner.

Does anyone know for sure?

 

Tan heads are limited to 20pieces each, so once they're gone, it's over. ^^;

 

Luckily we don't want tans.. I am planning to do a local small group order. But people wanted to see if we were to able to order them on the 15th of June or so (because of the paydays).

I would update your order post on the Migi board or repost a message to her... or when she gives you the paypal info you could clarify it in your order. I sent a note to her verifying my mailing address in my paypal comment as it's different from my paypal one...

just a thought. I can't imagine it'd be too hard...
