I recently had the frustrating experience of going to two Michael's stores in search of Paperclay, and being unable to find any; or even an empty spot on the shelf. I e-mailed and complained about this, since I desperately needed modeling materials. This is the response I just got today; This is from Michael's . com, so it really doesn't look promising. If you're like me and love paperclay, and Michael's is the only bricks and mortar store you can find it at, I would contact them and voice your concerns. (You can do so here.) I figured I should post this ASAP Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. I'm not sure if this is really the right place to put this, or if it's even really appropriate, I apologize if it isn't.
That stinks. I still have a couple packs of Creative cause I started playing with other mediums. I like it, but I'm not a diehard for it. I just checked. It's not a "brick and mortar" store, but Dick Blick carries Creative. I HATE online shopping, I always prefer to shop in person, but DickBlick is so easy to deal with. Layout is user friendly, and checkout is a breeze. Plus their prices are usually a little under retail, so when you pay shipping, it pretty much balances out what you would pay in a store anyways. Just to give you an alternative.
bah. but it does make sense. Usually I'm the one buying out the stores supply where I live. And I usually do it once a month because they never stock it anyway But Dick Blick carries it here too, but its further away
