I typically don't search for dolls in this size, due to most of the ones looking "off" to me, but I happened to come across this one while browsing instagram and holy cow. These have to be some of the cutest toddlers I've seen. I'll be keeping a look out in the market place for a blank one, certainly.

Ginger is officially discontinued, you won't be able to order her.

Sleeping Soo, Soo 2nd and Soo smile should still get preorders in the future.

Snow and Baby Lamb, Sleeping Baby Lamb maybe no preorders anymore. But I don't think they are officially discontinued.

I think new sculpts, Koi (2021?) and Big Lamb (2022?) will be her next two releases.

Yes I saw the reaction on IG. It seems everyone ordered within seconds and the results depended on your email server's speed to route your message on the internet, just pure luck. Did you get one? I really like Koi but I don't know what to do with a boy that age, I'm glad I didn't go through the disappointment.

Finally! I had literally been checking Mia's instagram every day since she announced the pre-order, sometimes 2-3 times a day
Knowing the date and that it's not quantity limited is such a relief! I'll definitely be welcoming a little neutral Koi into my family I do want a real skin Koi too though... maybe next time ;; _ ;;

 

I'm also worried because the next order will have tan skin, but we don't know if it will be limited. And it will be the last order of Koi in a while. T_T

Also from what Mia said, she will only offer Koi after she's "made a sufficient amount of real skin," which means there might be a fixed in-stock amount of real-skin Kois that she will release once they've finished being casted... That means it will be limited for sure é_è I really want real-skin Koi but I can't take this pressure

 

Has anyone here already received their Koi from the last order?
I am curious about the hybrids for Koi since he has a bigger head than Mia's other 1/6 dolls!

 

@dolliberate sorry that I wont be able to help é_è but I saw a lot of Kois arrived on instagram if you follow the Miadoll hashtag! maybe you can see some hybrids on there ^^ I think I saw a few Kois on smaller bodies.

I preordered Koi In neutral skin~ I was really shocked when Mia confirmed my order and said the production time would be 8 months... I'm heartbroken; I might as well have waited for real skin Koi at that point é_è
But I was too nervous of missing out! So at least now I know I secured him!

 

I'm thinking of getting a koi in real skin through the second hand china sites because I don't think I'll ever win the click war for miadoll

Although I don't like how he's smaller (head) and skinnier compared to my lamb

 

@29Niku I know what you mean! I sometimes see the real skin on Xianyu (for a really high price but still) and think whether I'd be better off buying him secondhand. I'll still give the click war a try before I go that route though ;; _ ;;

Koi's head is so small! He also takes 10-12mm eyes which is the smallest I've ever seen or owned. I'm worried about how disproportionate he'll look next to my iMda Dolls with their 7-8 heads and 18mm eyes... it's troublesome that he wouldn't match with another doll from the same creator though.

 

Their small eyes makes finding eyes really hard..
Babylamb is also around 7-8 if I'm not wrong.

I'm not gonna bet on the chance of winning the click war so its better to get it earlier before the price thriples!

It's only 35usd higher than the original price so you might wanna consider

 

@29Niku ohh I didn't know Baby Lamb had a larger head. I know Soo is also quite small, with a 6-7 head but larger eyes (14mm, from what I read online) so I'm having a hard time picturing just how small Koi will look with 10mm eyes. I got a pair for him waaay in advance already though

Ohh that's not a bad price at all! But I'm definitely looking for the full doll if I'm buying neutral Koi ^3^ Thanks for looking out :') I hope we're both able to snag him when the time comes.

 

I don't like realistic looks so i always go with the bigger eye option

I bought the head first even though I don't like the body i might get another full doll for collection purposes..

It's just too skinny for my liking

 

@29Niku Koi's body is really quite skinny! I collect iMda Dolls which are pear-shaped with chunky legs, so he'll definitely look a lot different from my girls. I'm thinking of getting him 14Smm eyes (with the smaller irises) to since it's so hard to find small eyes that I like...
Did you end up getting Koi's head in real skin? Do you have any hybrid plans so far for him?

 

I planned to hybrid him with guard love bodies. Will be sending him to guard love warehouse so you can order one too once they're done skin matching! And yea i already bought & gotten him with faceup!

 

@29Niku ohhh wow what a gorgeous faceup he has! if Guard Love offers resin matching, then that's really the best option to go with. Please, if you happen to have him on hand, let me know if he fits 14mm eyes haha!

I'm soooo excited to see your baby Koi Hybrid you're really making me consider going the secondhand route for real skin...

 

Most likely if you can't get the real skin in the next release. I suspect the price is going to soar much, much higher. Just like soo or ginger

@29Niku hmmm I wonder if this is something you can ask Mia directly? Both seals look hand-carved from different editions of the doll as you said.

 

I did but both dollmore and mia isn't getting back to me..

So far i asked 2 other owners and I realized that the one with number carvings might be korea released and the one without is dollmore since she comes with proper certificate

 

I saw this babies and I falled in love with them... And I want all them ;___;

I received a shipping notice for Koi today, which was a big surprise, since miadoll said, it might take about 8 months. But it was only a bit more than 4 months wait!

 

@quake congratulations! I also received an email from Mia to my surprise! I really wasn't expecting Koi until late October at the earliest. How exciting! I'm still struggling to find faceup artists to paint my dolls though; so I'm not sure if I'll be able to play with him for a while ><

Entering this thread hoping to find some help from people knowing about Mia skintones

I stumbled upon this beautiful 1/3 head by a little studio and they say their normal skin matches "Mia pink".

What does Mia pink look like?
I never heard of Mia before to be honest and so far I saw they don't even have 1/3 bodys for sale?
Which leaves me wondering why they match it to that skin..
Any ideas which companies I could look at for bodys?

 

Doll Family - H made a body in the 1/5 scale, which should work with Miadoll Koi 1/5 size ballet BODY ONLY DF-H 1/5 size KOI size BJD 35cm boy doll_1/6 size doll_Doll Family-H(25% OFF)_Clover singing doll base, so DF-H in this skin tone might be a possibility. Miadoll pink is a peachy color, a little bit darker than my Dollzone pink from 2021. The best resin color match I have for Koi is my Supiadoll normal from 2020.

Hi Can anybody who has a Miadoll in WS please let me know how white is Mia white? Is it paper white or off white and does it have a pink or yellow undertones? I want to order a doll (different artist) and am trying to decide between Mia white, Mia pink and Volks white skin colors. While I do have a yosd in Mia pink, I have no idea how Mia white looks like. Appreciate your help with this. Thanks

 

Is it a Chinese company? Miadoll is wildly popular in China, so there are many "body" companies that use her colors as the palette.

 

My Koi only said "normal" skin, so I'm wondering what that matches on DHF? Like the official name from DHF, not the listing New Clover has

 

They have "mia" colors. NS should be mia 新普. Note that many shops require the production month to match perfectly.
