Esthetics Matching a NS Head to a Gray skin body?

Nov 25, 2025

    1. Hi guys, I'm just wondering how to approach the prospect of matching a Doll Chateau Bella girl head in what I believe is either Normal or Pink resin to a gray DC body. I had hoped to find a full gray doll on the marketplace, but it doesn't look like it is ever going to happen lol.

I'd like to know what my best course of action is to match her. I'm not too keen on the idea of dyeing because the head has yellowed and I have no idea how the dye will behave with the pink & yellow undertones, it could look quite bad. Would a combination of airbrushing and pastels be the best bet? Has anyone done such a drastic resin match like this? I would love to see or hear about any examples. Not sure how best to approach this project so thanks for any pointers :)

    2. Some of the more expensive faceups artists offer color matching as part of their services. If you don’t want to dye, I think that might be your best shot - to have the head color matched to the body, and then have the faceup drawn on top of that. The biggest drawback to this is, of course, if you get a scratch or chip on the head, the original color will be visible underneath

      edit to add:
If you’re going to do so yourself, an airbrush will definitely be the way to go, in order to get the most even application, and then pastels for depth :)
