Hope that helps >w<; They're pretty easy to put in, but the only problem I've found is that the silicon is sucking up the moisture from the super sculpey I use to hold eyes in, which is weird o_o;

I've bought eyes from The Santa Fanatic on eBay too (OMG I typoed that as SATAN rofl) and had no problems with the color, just for the record, they look in person the way they looked in her pics . . . I always crosscheck colors against the Masterpiece site, and against Karin's owner pages when possible. I have noticed that the Masterpiece colors can look vastly different under different lighting. Personally I'm not huge on waiting 4-5 weeks for a pair of eyes; her prices are lower and she ships immediately. Of course, if you have a specific color in mind, you're better not ordering on eBay since the selection is limited.

Though you've ordered, this thread is going to be popping up in search so we might as well add to it. ^^ I love the way Masterpiece eyes conform to the eye socket; when they get fuzzy I just pop them out and rinse them with water. I think that the color and the way they reflect light is the closest to a human eye by far (though I appreciate the way glass eyes can photograph, and certain qualities of acrylics too).

I'm not as fond of the squishy flat eyes, they are harder for me to position (I prefer glass or acrylic with stems) but the Eyeco and Masterpiece eyes that we have are just gorgeous, and photograph really well. They do feel weird. They pick up lint and dust more easily. They fit just great, though, and once they get positioned they're awesome.

I still prefer the harder eyes...I think I'm going to try the Enchanting Eye Candies next.

 

I bought some gorgeous 17 mm Liz Violet eyes from Vallen - and I love them! They are really easy to put in, conform well to the eyehole and look great. These are not paperweight eyes, but I would like to try some of those. I also would very much like to see a pair of Grey White Eclipse and Feather Angel eyes.

 

Masterpiece eyes are my hands-down favorites!

Here's Jess in MP polymer eyes in "Ebony" (nearly-black, but they have some brown and green deep color to the irises, very subtle).

I find them comparable to other polymer eyes -- not as shiny as glass (wah!), but they're not paperweighted, so they fit into the sockets more naturally. I prefer the polymer eyes to the soft-glass eyes for looks and price, although I wish they offered the full color range in polymer.

I had been using glass eyes, but I bought this pair of 17mm Masterpieces in Tempest, and I'm absolutely never going back to glass.

 

The previous owner of these eyes made a guess that they were 'old world blue' but wasnt sure. I DO know for sure that they're 20mm though

13mm Sterling - they're awesome. They can go from natural-looking to spooky/metallic depending on the light.

 

Here is my girl Maegan with masterpiece. It's size 22mm in the colours Blue Eclipse and Autumn Hazel.
It took me quite some time to get them but they are wonderful to look at. The colours are amazing. One thing is bad about them though and that is that they attract dust and dirt like crazy! After one day they are clouded with a layer of dust and its hard to get away too unless you use some moisture.

I was positive that my boy Kaito would have nothing but glass eyes, however I decided to give the Masterpiece Thundercloud 18mm a try because they were exactly the right colour I wanted for him which I just couldn't seem to find in glass eyes. Not only are they so much easier to position than his bulky Luts glass eyes but they are also incredibly deep and detailed (They have these tiny brown flecks around the pupil that make his eyes look so realistic irl!).

I love these eyes a bunch, but they can be difficult to get in place properly. I'm guessing it's easier with larger dolls and larger eyes.

They are the ONLY eyes I could find that would fit into her newly-beveled eyewells properly. Since they're squishy they kind of mold into the eyewell, and the low dome was ideal for her partly-closed eyes. They were a bit tricky to get to stay in place, though. I had to use more putty than I normally do.

It doesn't look like it fits too well in this image but I've corrected that since this picture was taken. It fits snugly into his eye socket, so snugly in fact that there is no eye putty holding it in place

 

These are polymer 12mm in Old World. :3 I really like them.

 

I would like to see clear photos of Masterpiece
custom eyes. Not the type of &#8220;custom&#8221; you can
find in their site, but the type you had to submit
and image for. I would also like to know how close
the eyes were to the original design you requested,
and if they actually used the design itself, or if they
did something else?

I got four pairs of custom-eyes based on two-different designs,
from them. But they didn&#8217;t turn out anything close to the designs
I submitted. I just want to know if it was a mistake, or if they
don&#8217;t actually use the images you submit (although that would
kind of defeat the purpose of sending hi-res images, if they are
not going to use them at all!). They didn&#8217;t offer any explanation,
just said they would redo them, so that&#8217;s why I want to know if
there might be a slight possibility that it was actually a mistake,
or if I&#8217;m doomed. I&#8217;m very upset right now. U____u;;;

That is a real shame Enzyme. I ordered some customs about a year ago and they came back just as I asked. However, they were based on an existing eye of theirs (I wanted Afghan style, but in pale blue with a yellow centre ring). They ended up perhaps slightly paler blue than I wanted, but they were very close to what I asked for. Here is the clearest picture I have, I'm afraid (yes, doesn't really help, does it?).



Personally, I am probably not ordering Masterpiece eyes anymore as my last batch were dull and had scratches across them. Although they happily replace, it really isn't worth the money and time for me.

The first pair I got was defective, I was sent replacements but they still have uneven pupil and developed air bubble. :<

They don’t have any pixilation in their silicon eyes (though I only own six pairs so far),
I don’t have any of their acrylic-polymer eyes to say anything about them. However,
their silicon eyes seem to vary in saturation and color, from eye to eye, judging from
what I’ve seen based on other owner photos and comments I’ve come across.

Does anyone have experience with both Masterpiece silicone eyes and Eyeco soft glass eyes? I'm curious how they compare with one another. Masterpiece eyes are considerably more expensive. Are they worth the price difference? Each label offers some stunning shades!

 

I have several pairs of both MP eyes and Eyeco eyes. The Eyeco eyes I've had have always been flawless -and they look VERY realistic. I do prefer MP eyes though as I find their eyes have a nicer dept and glow to them. I've been lucky that none of my MP eyes have had any serious flaws..

I also thought I would share my experience with softglass eyes. I have used both masterpiece and eyeco softglass eyes in my Lati Yellow Coco (size 11mm), and with both of them, I found the whites to be a bit too translucent - they allowed the pinkish colored (from the resin color) light to come through the whites just bit from inside the head, making them not quite "white" enough for my personal taste. They made her look a bit more realistic though, as her whites looked kind of pink, like she had blood vessels in them.

This is 11 mm Tempest, i think very beautiful!

 

I got a pair of these in Antique Yellow and I'm not sure what to make of them. They're quite pretty, but they look absolutely nothing like the example on the site. I checked it out on several different machines just to make sure, and yep, these are super bright yellow rather than the soft powdery pastel color in the images, and the pupils are also much larger (does this vary from pair to pair?)

Has anyone else had this problem with these? They're very good looking in all other respects, but it seems like they might need to update some of their photos.

They have awesome customer service though, they're very nice. I'm hoping to get a pair in Feather for another doll.

Has anyone ordered from Masterpiece recently? I have read really bad things about the eyes, and a couple of years ago they were dropped by several dealers (such as SafrinDoll). Eyeco is suggested as an alternative, but they don't seem to make the size I am looking for - 9mm (8mm with a little extra sclera, I think).

I hate to spend $30+ on a pair of eyes that might only arrive in horrible condition.

 

I ordered two pairs in November last year. One pair (Verde Natural) seemed alright. The other pair (Gold-no pupil) was not good. There was black discolouration all around the edge of the iris. I don't know if I was just unlucky, but I don't think I'll be trying my luck again. (Really crappy photo is the best I can do, I don't know where I've put these eyes now).
