50–65cm Dolls Maskcat Agnes Unboxing

    1. After a long hiatus from all things dolls, I've gotten back into it this year, and it's been a joy to return to. It also means I let myself get a new doll :)

      I've wanted a Maskcat girl since first getting into this hobby, so when I saw Agnes in stock at DDE earlier this month, I immediately ordered her.

      She came in a very pretty trunk that took me way too long to figure out how to open (definitely user error), and it was padded out nicely with a Maskcat pillow.

      The listing said she'd come with a random wig and eyes, but I was not expecting such a gorgeous wig so I had ordered her a different one, but this one suits her much better. I did end up going with the opal eyes I ordered, but the blue ones she came with are very nice too. She also came with heeled feet and an extra pair of hands.

      And here she is! Apologies for the lighting - it was late when she arrived.

      Here she is the next morning with her original wig and new eyes. Her sculpt is so beautiful, and the company face-up is very nice. I love her sad little face! She also poses very well and is a solid stander.

    2. The melancholy air of maskcat sculpts never cease to grab me. She is lovely! Very nice blushing on her, and the pale hair and eyes suit her beautifully, IMO. Gorgeous girl! Congratulations!

    3. So lovely! Every time I see a Maskcat doll, I have to try really hard to stick to my list...So much love is put in to every aspect of their dolls.

    5. Agnes is amazing! She's got such an interesting face. And I love the shape of her nose, she looks so good in profile.
      I've got a few vintage chests and suitcases and they have the same opening mechanism. I'm not sure if the design is intentional, but now that I think about it I haven't seen that lock on newer boxes. Anyway don't worry, you're not the only one, Maskcat had to put up videos on the socials showing how to open the box for a reason :lol:

    9. Congratulations on your new doll and welcome back to the hobby. Maskcat is definitely on my list, I really like Fleur and would love to bring her home. The open mouth sculpt with the teeth get me every time.

    13. oh cool, I didn't know DDE could have in stock maskcatdolls!

      I gotta ask for a more in depth review of the trunk though...ever since I found out that's how they pack their dolls I've been fascinated. is it just decorative or is it a proper Case?

    15. Maskcat dolls are beautiful and have a silky smooth finish to the touch. One of my dolls that also came in a nice trunk was cut open and sliced down the middle by customs. Nothing I could do about that but the presentations are fabulous. Your truck is gorgeous.
