A friend recently gifted me a lovely 65cm muscular body, after struggling to find a head to match the idea I had, I decided to make my own! I want him to be masculine and serious, but also with somewhat stylized features. I plan to cast him in resin once he's done! I need to do a lot more work on making him symmetrical, and I'm not really decided whether the stylization I leaned towards is working on the eyes. I may add a little more thickness to his jaw, too, not sure yet.
Looks great sofar. Understand your plan and reson to make it symmetrical. Probably suits the body better also. But the asymmetrical look is interesting as well
@fierox Thank you! ^_^ I enjoy the look of rougher or in-progress sculpts as well, though it's not very typical for a "bjd aesthetic". I'd be interested to see more artistic-license sculpting applied to a resin cast BJD! Not just in terms of body proportions but i terms of smoothing/symmetry too. For now I am trying for a more polished style though, to match the body. Maybe for a future project! I am pretty new to the hobby, and I suspect my tastes will veer more towards eccentric and unique looks as I get deeper in, and have more familiarity with the baseline aesthetic.
