I made a staff from a dowel rod a little while back. Syr now has a big stick and isn't afraid to use it. Companion photoshoot to Martial Arts with Sword. Syr is Crobidoll Lance, hybrided on Dollstown 15year girl body (modded). Update: I took some more photos, they're further down this thread (post #9)... If some pictures are broken, the full photosets are on my BJD blog, here and here ... my image host doesn't always play nice with DoA. Thanks for viewing!
@Rabbit-moon , @legend_to_none , @Kaito-len , @CheshireCat , @Gintsumi , @saraquill - thank you for the comments. I made Syr's kimono outfit. I probably should've made it clearer that this Crobidoll Lance was genderswapped to female and is on a female body. Syr has been (a pretty androgynous) girl for so long I've kinda forgotten that Lance is a male sculpt... We don't mind the mistake though, no worries. ^^ I put Blu tack into Syr's hands and stick the staff to it. It's wooden dowel and quite light, so she holds it pretty well. Yes, I did a bit of photoediting to remove the Blu tack from the pictures.
Some more photos. We're doing more advanced martial arts now. . Omake... "I've been posing for you for three days already, I fell over three times, and you weren't fast enough to catch me two of those times. I want a break," she says to me. Okay then. Have your break and go squeeze your boy.
I really like how real she looks! I really like that her body looks like it’s so easy to take poses! And I love all the outfits on your last picture
@melie59 Thank you ^^ My doll is single-jointed so it took some effort to get her to do these kinds of poses -- mostly sueding and heavy wiring, and just fiddling around with posing so that she's balanced. But it was worth the effort and I find it a lot of fun to pose my dolls so that they look real.
It’s really incredible because we can’t see any of this, it seems really effortless! If she’s single jointed I can’t imagine the time you must have spend on those poses ^^’
