Congratulations!

I noticed that at least one of the newly released REDs is already up on ebay, so I was right in thinking that there would be some overflow availability even for those that don't make the list.

 

Congrats !! I remember you've mentioned several times that you're dreaming about having a ED. So lucky you !!!

 

Congratulations to everyone who has been contacted by Marina and those who have received dolls after so many years of waiting and hoping It is so very exciting to hear how giddy some of you are, haha! Please post lots of pictures, they're so so overdue :P

 

I actually am the lucky person that managed to buy that red on ebay! Well not directly on eBay because I didn't want a bidding war. I actually contacted the seller outside of eBay and made her a offer she can't refuse so she ended the eBay listing early! Let's just say she's the single most expensive bjd I have ever paid. She costed me more than all my bjd put together. She was insanely expensive but well worth it! I missed the wait list and having been looking for years now! After 5 years of waiting I finally am lucky enough! I am really happy! She is an amazing work of art! The seller will send her out on Monday!

I never got to even see what a "REDs" looks like.

 

I can't wait to post pictures- but my girl needs her face first- she looks like everyone else with her blank resin- she will be off to her face-up artist tomorrow! I am absolutely terrified that she could get lost in the mail- I wish I could drive her over there!!!

 

Ah, she is finally coming home. I got a brilliant face up and body detail by Angel Toast! I can't wait to see her (Monday hopefully)

 

She looks beautiful. I can't wait to see her face closeup. I can't really see this one very well on my iPad. Maybe my computer will show it better. Let's hope she is there on Monday,

Thanks you guys! And yes, I am SO THRILLED! Angel Toast did an absolutely brilliant job- I am totally stunned! My lovely girl is scheduled to arrive today- I am so anxious!

Thanks! The shoes are from Kingdom Doll, and the clothing from various other dolls or the pink dress actually was a commission. I like the brown wig on her too but I think I need a black wig for her so will have to get one made

Janet- you cannot get on the list. Marina closed the list and is selling off her blanks to those of us who have been on the list for 2 years or so. However, it does mean more RED in existence, so I would keep an eye on the secondary market as someone is sure to spend money they don't have on getting their doll and regret it later...

 

Wow, I didn't realize there was movement on this. I got on the list in 2013 and I've never heard a word. Ah well, that's a lotta green for those dolls anyway...

 

If you were still interested, you might want to double check which name/email you left for them? I also got onto the list in 2013- June of 2013.

HI ladies, well my first bjd happened to be a resin Enchanted Doll (waves to EDérs I have been chatting to), I was on the wait list since 2013 and received my lovely rED in November. I have given her a faceup myself, bought some lovely wigs, and started making my own costumes and accessories. Needless to say I am hooked!!!

WIP for my lovely Anise...

Her bodice was "sculpted" through a computer program and 3d printed in brass

My nameless doll just left for her faceup with Angel Toast. I miss her already. Sigh...

 

Excellent! Angel Toast is a fabulous artist- she did my doll's face The only possible warning I might have though is I'm not sure she is sealing her work with much- the body blushing has mostly come off just by putting her outfit on- so if you have some UV resistant Mr. Super Clear than maybe it would be worth putting on the second you get your doll to avoid the same issue (unless you are just getting the face).

 

Eek! Well, good thing is, I do cave a can of MSC at home! Thank you for the tip! Did you ever tell her that happened, by the way?

 

I hadn't because I didn't want to seem like a complainer- but I realize you are right I should let her know, so I sent her a message.

 

I don't think that's complaining. I think this would help her improve her work and definitely helpful to other clients. As an artist, I would want to be aware of stuff like that. Somehow this is sounding very serious, but I mean it in the friendliest terms. Like it's not a big deal to seal with some extra MSC for me, I just feel
like Angel Toast should know. Thank you for sending her the email!

 

I wonder where the other 100 RED owners are?

 

I was wondering that too...

I don't think that all 100 have been shipped out, though...

 

My guess is that at least half if not more of the dolls sold to people in various countries (Japan, China, Russia) that maybe don't participate on English speaking boards so we may never know where they went.

Like the book contest doll...

 

They must speak English, though, if they discovered Marina's dolls, no? For instance, I'm Russian I do live in LA, though.

Also, I am note sure they shipped all of the dolls. Just because of the previous stop-and-go shipping of the resin line.

I can see them getting very busy and pausing shipments again.

 

There are probably at least some non-English articles/information sources about Marina though right? I assume so if her book is sold in so many different countries in different languages.

But yes, I am sure they are not rushing to get the dolls out. Just not their style and the leftover dolls are hardly a priority I think. Plus Marina may want to keep a few behind anyway just in case she wants ton do a special project.

Someone on the ED doll board just got contacted so there are definitely still more dolls.

Oooh! Did not see this thread had continued. Wonder if Marina is going to continue with dolls, or has grown bored or weary of them and moved on. Hope not.

 

Ha, I'm Russian too but in heritage, Australian born.

 

I'm now a RED owner and active on the Enchanted Doll forums.

 

Read back a few pages- Marina announced a while back she is not making any new resin dolls. She is slowly selling off the 100 that she had left to people who were on the waiting list before it closed. She will not paint or wig them. We aren't sure how many people have received the newly released dolls.

Oh, her dolls are so beautiful, it is such a pity that she will not make more at this time...

Sooo any more people come up on the list? I suppose the remaining dolls (of the approx 100) could actually go on for quite a while if Marina and Chad are sending them out just a couple every few months.

I am also hoping that she will do just a few more special ones...

 

I also hope that Marina will think of something new and make a new line

 

So do I, hope for a new line, but perhaps if not, I will be able to find one second hand in the future.

 

I'd love to see a resin line with the added thigh joint that the newer porcelain girls have. Sigh...wishful thinking I guess.

Lisa_Alisa, here's one....I just love dolls that can bring their knees up close to their chest like this.

And I do love how this doll can bring her knees up to her chest-

Marina has been quiet for a while, I can't wait to see her next update ! I will admit I do hold out some kind of hope she will change her mind at some point and make more resins
