Wearables Marie Antoinette Wardrobe

I wanted to log my progress on my sewing project - I’m still just a beginner, but I wanted to make a wardrobe for a new doll that will be arriving in March. Youpla Saddie (slim MSD) as Marie Antoinette.

I’m going to be making a wig, shoes, jewelry, and other accessories but I wanted to make a dress for her first! Today, I have finished her stay, and I’m a little worried it might be a tad too big. Haha but I am so pleased with it all the same.

I also wanted to add a little disclaimer - I am new to sewing, I’m very bad at following instructions (patterns) and I know it isn’t historically accurate, but I am trying my best to get the style down rather than the accurate technique- at least for now! I’m basing a lot of my outfit choices on the 2007 move Marie Antoinette with Kirsten Dunst’s portrayal.

All that said, here it is!

 

Here’s a picture with a larger bust (Huajing 1/4 V2)

It’s actually too small for this body!! I’m very curious to see how it fits other MSD bodies! It probably needs to be slim with a large bust (maaaybe Youpla??? Fingers crossed!!)

 

Thanks! Me too! I think I’m going to test out on Huajing even though I know it will be too big, and then maybe I can learn from some mistakes too haha I’ll post my progress!
