Peko? I haven't checked the site recently...maybe I should?

 

o maybe you shouldn't, she is too stinkin cute, you'd want 3 of them! (I know I do!) I'm not very familiar with Marchen- does anybody know if their limiteds sell by how many are already made or by a time frame?

 

She is cute! Marchen sells by time frame and Peko is available until Nov sometime. Due to their not very noticed special releases they do seem to end up low numbers and don't become available again for a long time *ie Ydike!* Hardly ever on the marketplace, so if you like her make sure to pick her up...even if the S&H is high~ I'm totally broke right now or I'd join with you on a GO

 

O thank you for the info! November deadline is great- I'll have money by next friday! I just saw Ydike; I really love the way her mouth is sculpted. I also like the eyes on Heidi- this is such an interesting company. I love how the facial features are so out of the ordinary

 

The company does have some gorgeous sculpts!! I would love to see some Peko photo when yours arrives

 

Just wondering, what bodies provide a good match for Marchen Waltz head?? Aside from infinity doll that is.

 

Well the Luts resin *new doll* and the Infiniti Doll resin are a great match but both the resins change color fairly quick so you would want both newish dolls. Hope that is helpful.

 

Also Volks works that is the body used in allot of the Marchen Waltz promotional photos. The color match looks excellent.

 

I think Marchen does a good job of hiding the match~ I think maybe it is more yellow?

 

is marchen's more yellow? or volks? just wondering, my DND queen body seems to work real well with Napi doll's resin which is supposed to match volks

peko's head is too cute and tempting.

 

Volks seems to be more yellow? My Ydike seems quite a bit lighter than my Hijikata but she is newer and he's a little older. Good luck I hope you get a Peko!

*As a note Marchen Waltz has discontinued the contract with Inifiniti Doll and will no longer be selling bodies only MW heads in future!

 

They need to release more heads! come on Marchen !! You would think with the contract ending they would need to sell more heads...

 

I agree they need to sell more heads I think they need to model their our bodies too!! *something not as busty as the Infinidoll body~*

As for posing my Marchen girl is the only SD girl I've ever had so I can't say for sure. She's gorgeous but I did have some problems getting her to pose *I thought because I was use to the SD boys though..*

 

I agree, they are clearly skilled enough to do a body. I would like something volks like, as you said not too big a bust, with elegant hands. I wonder how many people actually make up the company maybe it is very small - just a couple? Yet they have a nice website and have a larger company look to them.

 

I wonder about the company and how many employees they have ^^; I would love to see that body Treelore, just wish they'd make it!

 

I had place an order for peko head today~ Wonder how long they will take. There really hasn't been much Marchen waltz dolls around hey, what a pity!

 

I know they seem to be a small company and they aren't on the forum much.

Meanwhle my Peko head had arrive, she already looks so so cute without the faceup, but I will post her when I had given her a proper face up. I wish MW will release chocolate again.

I do know volks body SD works, the color match for resin normal is not exact, the Marchen is a bit lighter. *** Does anyone know how well the WHITE Marchen Waltz resin matches to volks white resin?

Head is after 3 month / body is new ver. -> so body is more more more than pink
but pink color is after 2-3 month -> later resin matches is perfect, I wish!

Thank you so much, violetpink I checked out the Belezza body and I really like it!!!! The resin match seems excellent. Will probably be ordering that body after I get my dreaming Aimee head!!

 

I just have a quick question .... hopefully someone may be able to answer ....
How dark is the default company face up? In some of their promo pics the lip make up looks a bit darker than normal ... the lines between the lips look very dark, almost black!

 

Does anyone have a white resin Marchen waltz AND a Volks White resin doll they can compare it to?
I want to know if the white resin Marchen really matches fairly close to volks white resin.....

 

My Moonlight Dream Aimee has arrived!! Gotta pick her up from the P.O. this afternoon. Will definitely try to post a pic once I bring her home. And hopefully I'll have enough time to give her a face up too

 

Oh, wow! Congratulations Hypercurve! I'm really excited to see your girl, I've been lurking around the thread waiting for someone to get an Aimee, there are hardly any of them out there.

 

I ordered the promotion faceup open eye Aimee in white. I have a white dollzone body here so I can try the head on that and see how it looks for color and proportion/fit match.

 

TreeLore: Hope your girl arrives soon. Now that I've seen the dreamy Aimee I wanna kick myself for not ordering the open eye Aimee too!!! Would love to have Aimee sisters!!

I bet the Doll-zone body would look really cute with the Aimee head, Treelore. I'd love to see the proportions of it with your girl. The dream Aimee I'm waiting on has the promotional face-up as well, although she's in NS.

Aw, I bet she was just tired after such a long journey home, Hypercurve. I love the face-up you gave her and her styling, my incoming Fable has the cousin to Marguerite's dress! Also, I love when companies put something thoughtful like that into the box, it makes arrivals just that extra bit more special!

 

Crayola: Oooh can't wait to see your girl with her promo face up!! I love my Marguerite to bits, she is such a pretty sculpt, and she looks so peaceful I'm in the process of making her three new outfits ... dresses with co-ordinating bonnets. Will post more pics as soon as I'm finished ^^

Hi guys, mind if I ask a question or two? I'm really curious to know how big these girls heads are, especially compared to other dolls. I literally just discovered them, and I just love every sculpt! But head size is a huge factor for me. Thanks!

 

I have found Ydike to be a size 9 head size and to be about equal to most volks SD dolls. Chocolate to be a tiny bit smaller, I have mine on a hyper 54 body and like it, I thought it too small for the volks body. Heidi to be about a 9 also so more standard size. Aimee also seems to be standard 9.

I have them all wearing 9 to 9.5 wigs.

Color of resin is slightly lighter than volks.

I use size 18 mm eyes for these dolls.

 

Aw, Marguerite looks so cute in her new dress, Hypercurve, peach is a great color with her face-up! Also, sorry to bother you but I've been meaning to ask, what body is she using? If you don't mind, that is.

I wish I could help, Vampire, but my girl hasn't come in yet. Hopefully someone else can answer though, I'm curious as well!

Edit: Oh, thanks so much Treelore, that's great to know! I ordered my Dream Aimee a 9-10 wig and was worried that it would be much too large for her.

 

I think it will be fine - she is on the lower end of that number but as long a the wig is not too deep should be fine.

 

i had moonlight dream amy with me before, and she also was fine with 8~9inch wigs.
similar to volks head ( bit smaller than charlotte, way more smaller than volks nono.... nono has the biggest head )
also i hope marchen waltz release heidi too >_<

 

Thanks TreeLore and qrimkitty! Hmmm....If they're around the size of smaller volks heads it might work. My Michele and DWC02 heads are about the size I am looking for, anything bigger is too big. They both easily wear 8\9 though, so that Ydike and Aimee are wearing larger wigs does make me a little nervous. Anyone have a Zaoll? I'd love to know if the heads fit that body....

 

these heads are definitely not too big if that is what your worried about!! if anything I would like them a tad larger. If they went smaller they would not look right on the volks body.

 

CrayolaTicTac: Thank you so much! I love her to bits! She is temporarily on a Peak's Woods FoC body which she is borrowing from one of my upcoming floating heads. The resin match is pretty bad even though it is not quite visible in pic. But I have an older Volks SD10 swarikko body on layaway for her. Marchen Waltz NS resin has a yellow undertone, more like older Volks, or Fairyland NS/Dollzone NSY.
Vampire: I will take a comparison pic of different head sizes if you want! Head size is a huge factor for me too. In fact I had to rehome a few of my older girls because of that. I agree with quirmkitty, Aimee head is about as big as smaller/medium Volks heads which is the perfect size for me. Not as big as the f-01 Nana/Megu/Sara heads.

 

I just found out about these sculpts and I love the aesthetic so much, Aimee and Chocolate are my favorite. I have been trying to dig up as much info on them as possible.
I'm really excited to say that I will be bringing one of these lovely dolls home!
I'm getting a white resin Aimee and I'll be putting her on a volks body I would love to get the promotional face-up by Polar Bear but that's not being offered right now, maybe one day I can send her to get a company face-up. Something about these sculpts are so magical, its almost like Mark Ryden meets volks.

I would love to get more sculpts as well, I'm also fond of Heidi, Clair and Peko.

 

Ha ha that is what I'm worried about! I'm looking for a head that would make a good young girl that can go on a Zaoll body.... A little bobble is ok (make them look young) but too much won't work out.

I would LOVE it if you could!! Smaller Volks is a good size, that's the other company I've been looking at (and Peakswoods, I put my Goldie on the body and it's perfect)....but when I discovered MW I just fell in love with the molds! I would be thrilled if they would work.

 

Vampire: Here you go from the left Napidoll Rogebell, Napidoll Chesi, and Moonlight Dream Aimee. Napidoll girls are Volks small/medium head size. And the floating heads at the bottom - Peak's Woods wake up Lottie (I believe she's the smallest of all PW heads), and a Little Monica Harmony head. The floating heads don't have wigs on so they might look about the same size as the other three girls, but in person they are much smaller than the Napidoll girls and Aimee head. Hope this helps ^^ I'll take some pics of Aimee with a Volks girl later!

Hm, I've been debating between a Delf, Volks, or Peak's Woods body for Fable. I guess since she's more yellow toned Delf and PW are out. Thanks for the comparison of your girls Hypercurve! They're all so cute, Rogebell and Aimee look like they could be sisters~ It's great to have a better idea of what to expect size-wise as well.

 

I'm curious to know if peakswood would work...? also how the white matches to peakswood white?

 

Sorry to say that peaks woods bodies don't work with marchen waltz dolls because their neck holes are bigger. Big enough to accommodate Volks SD bodies. In fact I have my Aimee on a Volks SD10 body now. It is from 2010 and the resin match is near perfect!

 

My Elena head arrived today and I haven't seen anyone else mention it, but if you are like me and love the DollsTown elf body this is a PERFECT head for it, scale-wise, because it's on the small side. Ceylon, for example, is noticeably bigger in comparison.

The neck opening is a bit bigger than it needs to be for the Elf, but this can be a hard body to find a non-bobble head mold for so I just thought I'd mention my discovery.
