Male and female practice face up

I feel the lips could use some high lights, if you're looking for tips. It's mostly shadow and mid tone and with the glossy nature of lips, I feel it would add some pop. Maybe it's the photos cause I know photographing any art work becomes a hassle to re edit back to the original colors.
I've mostly tried on monster high heads since I don't have my own resin dolls in yet, so you're light years ahead of me, so take what I say with a grain of salt.

I'm not Vimes, but if you haven't allready, I suggest that you read throught the pinned threads in the Customization and Maintenance forum. There is a huge amount of information about both materials and techniques gathered in one place.

 

Oh I meant adding highlights like lighter colors. On my screen the lips don't appear to have a lot of contrast, so adding pinker colors. I get the impression you want a muted color, so that's why I say "pinker" instead of straight up pink. Like the other poster said, looking into the materials list would help find bjd safe. I'm personally still experimenting so I'd use those references to keep your doll safe! If liquitex is on there, it is relatively inexpensive as it's a beginner brand for paint. I come from an arts back ground so I only have a general understanding. Looking at color theory videos can help since on fancier face ups you see people implement "non skin" colors to help the skin pop. I've recently been watching lomi's playground if you're a visual learner like me. She is very specific and clear.

 

Can't give any advice since I've never done faceups before, but you made the eyebrows and bottom lashes look great
