Modification Making Tybalt

This thread is where I’ll be posting my progress on my first doll! It’s been a slow start because of sealant troubles, I kept applying way too much at first and it’s also very cold where I am.

Name- Tybalt Elena Capulet/Tybalt Burgovski (yes he has two versions of his name it’s complicated)
Pronouns: he/they
Age: 23
Likes: cats (all animals really), soft things, music, luxury, the cold, simple foods, fancy clothes
Dislikes: loud noises, babies (he doesn’t hate them they just make him nervous), hot days, small talk


I’ve started with blushing today and yesterday. It’s been a bit rough, especially with the body. My sealant was acting up because of the cold and my own stupidity (I thought that you had to apply enough to make it look wet… nope). So I might redo the body, or at least portions of it. It’s super patchy on the body, especially around the hip joints and ribs. The face is okay, though. A bit asymmetrical, and the ears are a bit patchy, but I intend on modifying the ears anyway and I think it’s pretty good for my first attempt at blushing ever!

Thank you! As of now I’ve redone his body blushing and faceup and it’s much less patchy lol. I’d like to try making his standard outfit like in the ref, but making the shirt might be difficult so I might wait till I get a bit better at making patterns

Over the past week I’ve redone tybalts body blushing (again) and finished up his face. I also added the fur on his ears by gluing yarn wefts with pva glue. Here’s the final result of his body, without a wig so you can see his ears better: Untitled by Tybalt Courtney, on Flickr

And I got him a wig at last! It’s a size 7/8 instead of 6/7, apparently he’s right in the middle of those two sizes so I was worried if this wig would be too big, but as long as I have a silicone head cap on him it stays just fine. I do still need to style the wig a bit better, but it just came last night so I didn’t have much time lol.

Adding the wig REALLY makes him feel more “alive”… I didn’t think I was the type to really “bond” with a doll in the typical sense but I literally found myself talking to him after I’d put the wig on!

I also bought him a simple set of leggings and a shirt from DDE so he’d have something more casual than the kimono I already had for him. I need to make some sort of bra or undershirt for him though, you can totally see his nipples through the shirt!

Fun fact, your average marimba mallet is slightly shorter than a 1/4 size doll.
