This tutorial shows how to knit doll sweaters with boat-neck, using grid papers but I hope to inspire to a wider use of this technique. The tutorial can be downloaded as a pdf file here.

Gauge - very important when creating from diagrams.
Decide what type of knitting or crocheting you want.
Make a test piece to find out the gauge.
I often use a thin yarn...
