Magical Angel 1/3 discussion

ooh im so pleased that this thread is here. im seriously thinking of going for the sd girl and using her body as a hybrid as the possibility photos are truly amazing! i found that magical angel was really helpful with my questions about the size etc so i know the body will be a perfect fit for the head i have in mind. i look forward to seeing your girl jo1961

 

I really want the 1/3 Kelly with the new Male body! But it seems like no one else has gotten one, I'm too scared! And no pictures of the Magical Angel dolls anywhere it seems. :/ Hope someone posts some soon

Yesterday I received my Xinmeng body ordered from Lina.ding on Ebay. The resin is smooth - no seams - and the body poses like a dream. She absolutely will stand on one foot. I am delighted and will be ordering other bodies - at least I hope you continue to sell bodies separately.
I do have some questions: Is Lina.ding on Ebay an authorized seller? The MSD I ordered from her came in environmental resin and had the jointed feet. When I ordered the SD, I was told it would be snow white which I was hoping would match my Supia white head. The SD resin has a slight yellow cast to it and actually is the same color as the environmental resin of the MSD body. Is the environmental resin the same as the snow white? Also, my SD did not come with the jointed feet. Should it have come with jointed feet?
I love this body and I am impressed with the quality. Will you please explain the difference with environmental resin color..and other colors. Is there a snow white that is really white? If so, I plan on ordering this body in white and in pink. Here is my girl with the Supia head and standing on one foot. Amazing!

 

Yes.Lina.ding is the authorized seller.

Yes, the foot should be jointed feet. Because the feet connection become invisivible,Please check wthether there is a line between the toes and feet body. If there is the line,draw the toes out. then she can pose as a jointed foot. If there is no line,it is not jointed feet. You can check with lina.ding.

All of resin that we use are environmental resin. But we use 2 kinds of resin. One resin is Chinese environmental resin,which is opaque. The other environmental resin comes from other countries, which is transparent. Chinese environmental resin can only make non-transparent white, pink, snow white color skin.The other kind of resin can make any skin colors no matter the skin is transparent or not. We are adding the "Resin type" in our store. So every one can choose the resin that they like.

The white skin should be the normal skin of some companies. The snow white skin should be as white as snow. If you thought you got the wrong skin, please contact with lina.ding.

I bought the Magical Angel 60 cm Sherry doll. The company is a dream to deal with. I can't get a response to emails from some companies, but Magical Angel is very quick to respond. They ship quickly and the dolls are beautiful. She has a very beautiful face and is great with posing. There are no seams and her skin is extremely smooth. I hope this info helps.

 

Thank you Evelien! I did try to add two photos to the group but when checking back, the photos are not there. Do you have to approve photos? I will find something cute to put on my doll and add that photo too. The photos, I put up were the balancing on one foot photo and she is nude..is that against that groups rules? Jo

 

Evelien, I will try to add photos again later today..having Time Warner problems so my email is not working correctly..and actually thought I had posted a photo on this thread but not here, so will try again. I have put my Supia Lina head on the new SD body. My Lina head is slightly pink so not a great match but works for now until I can order the Magical Angel body in pink.

I'm quite interested in their bodies. They look like they are really good at posing...and I'm planning to make boy hybrid with their body. Do anybody know how resin and everything match Immortality of Soul heads (60cm)?

 

I just ordered a MA body for my islanddoll Amy head! Jeej ^.^

 

I bought Kelly earlier this week. He's my first doll straight from the factory and so far so good; the company responded to my purchase within just a couple of hours and let me know what size wig and eyes he wears. I'm already getting stuff together for him. I can not wait for him to arrive!!

 

Amy told me that they adjusted the pink-normal to a chart of resins and really - it is a perfect match. I could not be more pleased. NO seams either--nice and smooth.

I have a resin color question?

A few days ago I got my 1/6 Rose home. I had ordered her in pink skin. But to me her resin color look more yellow than pink. Or is it just that they`re pink actually is a bit yellow?

Anyone know if the pink is supposed to be that yellow?

Jo 1961's pink color is adjusted according to the the color chart of resin that Jo 1961 showed to us.

Yes, it is true that our pink skin is a little yellow and pink. If you see our yellow skin, you may find pink skin is pink.

 

i want to get a MA body for my migidoll jina head, but dont know if i should go for the normal skin or the pink. what do you guys think ?

Magical Angel OK understand. I am very pleased with her color. I was just a bit confused with the pink and yellow at first.

 

When I am looking at the Magical Angel resin colors on site, I think the pink is more of a match for normal resins that have a slight pink cast. (Iplehouse normal - Supia normal, etc.) The white appears to have a bit of white-yellow (I may be wrong here) and the snow white should match Supia white as that is pretty white. Correct me if I am way off base here. Jo

 

Yeah, the white is a cream white, and the snow white is a bright white. Not sure what pink matches.

Does anyone know which Magical Angel resin would best match Elfdoll Snow skin? I'm considering a MA body for my floating Yuan head and I haven't been able to find pictures of all MA resin colours yet, they've got so many
I'd also be happy with a comparison between MA resins and Iplehouse normal as they're a very close match as well.

 

Is Elfdoll white a white like Supia? - A real white then: they recommend their snow white resin. I am just not sure about the translucent colors. Hopefully MA will provide a larger color sample of more of their colors, as I am thinking of ordering another body too.

 

It's not paper white, more like a very very pale normal with a hint of yellow. It's a decent match with Iplehouse normal skin, which in itself is extremely pale (Obitsu white skin has more pink than Iple normal).

 

I've ordered my first resin bjd Ruby (l) I've doubted so long between her and Sherry but today I finally made my dission I've order Her in non-transparent but I would really love to see some in transparent (not french resin)? Thanks ^^

Mmmm, these sculpts are so dreamy 3 But right now, I'm looking for just bodies. Does anyone have a resin comparison with: AoD Yellow or Pink, Doll-Love Yellow or Pink, BBB/RS Normal or Pink? My ultimate goal is to find a nice body for Doll-Love heads.

I know AoD is a fantastic match for Doll-Love, and have heard BBB/RS matches as well. Dollzone is also supposed to match AoD, but I don't know if that means it matches Doll-Love as well.

Christmas brought an Abby into my home. I got the 1/3 version and her body is absolutely amazing (opaque white, large bust). One thing that I wasn't expecting...Abby has vampire fangs that are -not- shown in her stock shots. I can't offer pictures, as I have already sanded them off (it was such a simple mod I spaced the "before" photo). Overall I'm delighted with her. I'll post more once she's got some color on her face.

Unexpected bonus? She's a fair, though not perfect, match to Soom white. Looks like I finally found bodies I like for my Adamalli twins...

I got an Abby recently too, and I didn't notice any fangs. (I can't check right now though, I have her head at my studio awaiting a face-up. ><)

 

I suppose I could photograph the spots I had to fill in with nail acrylic, though the teeth themselves were removed. I am now truly confused that neither yours nor the stock shots show them. And you have the 60cm Abby?

 

I have the 40cm one. But they are supposed to be the same head. oO I was planning on getting the 60cm one soon though.

I will check mine when I get a chance to go over to my studio, maybe they are just so small I didn't even notice.

 

The head is quite large (she has 20-22mm eyes) and might look odd on a 1/4 body. I sent them a message to ask, fastest way to learn. Regardless, she's a very pretty girl. She has the same impish look that CP Shiwoo has.

 

Oh noo, I meant that I was going to buy ANOTHER Abby. lol She's my favorite MA sculpt. I'd like to say "You can never have too many elves", but probably 1/2+ of my collection is elves, and I'm starting to feel like I need to even them out with more humans! lol

I never really noticed it like that. When I get a 60 one, I will have to take a picture of her next to my rescue Elf Shiwoo girl.

If Abby is the one with Pointy ears, yes, she has fangs. I was surprised to see that too. MA has two faces with elf/fairy ears. I ordered both and it turned out that the pointy ones have fangs and I have her in white skin - perfect for a vampire but I didn't anticipate her as a vampire so now, her character will have to change. The other one with droopy ears will still be my elf/fairy. I love their bodies, they pose really well. I ordered three girls and they all can stand right out of the box, on carpet without budging for a long time. I am still trying to figure out how to work the flexed feet to pose with that.

All my girls will not have face up for a while but they have wigs and eyes now. Here are a few pictures of mine:
