MAB dolls 1st kitty WIP

Hi,
I would like to introduce my little chubby-kitty "Mishu".

It´s near to be done, but i still need to fix some joint and front legs problems. And it needs a tail, i always forgot it, dunno why.... ^^U
She/he will have painted eyes, just like Monster high customs, that´s why it doesn´t have eye holes.

(It´s not peeing, just pose testing, kittens doesn´t pee like that anyway^^U.)

I thought of simply joints because i want to try to sell it, if people likes him. And I want to sell it for a reasonable price so, simply joints would help with production. I tried my best for getting the natural movements of a kitty as much as i can with those few joints. I´m glad all of you say he is looking natural!

It´s about 12cm, smaller than a Pipos Ringo. But since i want to make a human body for him in future, the head is more or less same size. I´m based in Ringo measurements for size matching and so.

I have chosen the painted eyes option because it will be cheaper for me at first. Otherwise, i saw many monster high customs with painted eyes, and i really like how they look, i think it´s very original and cute and i though it would be super cute for my kittens, too. But I would like to make a eye-holed head after this one, as well as other kind of expressions like dreaming or closed eyes and other kind of pets as dog, hamster, cow, donkey... something like that.
But first, i must see if people will like this one, hehe! ^^

Your kitty is so adorable! I love the sitting pose. And the simple joints looks so good on your project. Very nice! :3

I also really like this kitty! The posing is really impressive with such simple joints and I really like how you stylized the limbs.

I do agree with Bird_of_Hermes above that the eyes would perhaps benefit from more definition. However, having a flat face also allows for a broader range of eye shapes and expressions since you're not limited to the one sculpted eye shape.

 

I was busy last month and I couldn´t update my kitty.

Bird of Hermes, recently I had the chance to paint Monster High dollies and I understand what do you mean. I will think about it, because it´s important to me the eyes looks like real eyes, not decal, but as Bailey said I also like the broader range of eye shapes that gives the flat eyes... I don´t know what to do>_<

Nuna Buzatto; at first the tail will be normal (but I want to make diferent kinds of tails so, people could choose)

Clarinet player; yes, the tail will be attached with a magnet so it can be changed easily. At first was planning to put it with a joint but... well, maybe in future. Will see.

Hi everybody!
Long time with no update... Last month I´ve been working (finally) in my kitty again and made some changes to the face, added tail (finally with strings, no magnet) testing molds and some resin casting, too.
Rush is the enemy of casting so, I need to make new molds for some parts, as tail and front limbs, modify holes... I´m not happy with the results yet, but I would like to show you how she looks actually. I hope you like her.
